  1. Is the Pod output stereo or mono? Just a matter of some simple adapters/cables.
  2. It sounds like you might have a bad routing on that track - make sure it sends to the Master track. You could try copying the track to a new track and then insert PodFarm (VST plugin) onto that track and see if the problem comes up again or is cured..
  3. What 'low price mini jack' microphone are you trying to use?
  4. Yes, MkII is what you need. Don't connect the amp directly to your computer with a Cat5 cable, it will fry some components in the amp. Whether you choose an Express or Shortboard depends on how you want to use the amp. For live use for a lead guitarist, the Shortboard is often the best option, as you can turn on/off certain FX and page up/down through the preset banks. With the Express, you can switch between 4 presets on the currently-selected bank (which can only be changed at the amp itself) only.
  5. No, they do not come with switches. You can get an FBV MkII Express or Shortboard to go with the amp. Should they come with something, and allow USB connection for updates/editing - yes? Do they? No.
  6. You can pick up used FBV Mk2 Expresses for $60 at Guitar Center regularly. Line 6 never updated their amp control features after other manufacturers started offering USB features, too.
  7. There have been no official announcements. It may be that the stores you tried just aren't replenishing stock due to lack of sales volume. Guitar Center has them.
  8. Hi Mandiboy - on the 2nd part of your question, it sounds like you have the channel volume on your patch turned up all the way. That would explain the master volume behavior. try turning down the channel volume on the patch (and saving it), then the master volume will be more linear. On your first question, not sure what you mean. Are you auditioning CustomTones on your computer, then loading them to the amp and they don't sound the same? You will notice that the overall volume of a patch will affect how it sounds - and a tone set up for a 4x12 cabinet will not sound the same when plugged into a single speaker or 2x12 cab.
  9. If its turned low or with a short/small room sound, you might not hear it on a preset. Try adjusting the amount of reverb with the knob, then saving it to a new user patch.
  10. Normal amp operation would have the volume pedal at full (as adjusted at amp) volume when the toe of the pedal is all the way down. If you use it differently, then you need an expression pedal added to your FBV set up to use as a wah, or a separate wah pedal to use between guitar and amp.
  11. Is that splitter 1/4" male TRS (stereo - 3 connectors) to 2 female TS (mono) jacks? If you plug your headphones directly into the Yamaha jack can you hear the keyboard? Did you select the UX1 line inputs as your audio source in your DAW?
  12. You can check the pins in the CAT5 jacks on the pedal and your amp, but its possible that the shortboard had problems before you bought it.
  13. hrroach - no, the amp does not work that way. When you change the channel (A,B,C,D), the settings for each parameter are changed to what has been saved for that channel, not where the dial is set. Touching one dial will change that particular parameter to wherever that dial is set - it won't change all parameters.
  14. It's all about getting the sound you want, there is no definitive answer.
  15. Tell me about it! I was playing out with my Radial PZ Pre pedal, went to turn off the lead boost switch and hit the mute at the same time! As it was a small (church) coffee house venue, luckily my acoustic's volume let it be heard!
  16. Haha, great translation device you're using! It's too bad you had an issue with your amp - you should have contacted L6 and used this help board when you first noticed the problem, instead of waiting so long. Buying a product from outside your country does have inherent risks - and whatever problem you had may have in fact been caused by damage to it when transported (I assume you had this packed up and shipped in a plane's cargo hold). As I pointed out to you on your last post, the closest service center to your country was Bogata, Columbia. If you had contacted Line 6 when the product was still under warranty, that would have been the closest location for warranty service. There are also service centers in Ecuador, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. The Blues Jr is a fine amp, but it does not have the same volume or capabilities as the Spider amp and many buyers switch out the speaker and tubes for better ones. Good luck with it.
  17. Your question is not clear - are you recording the Pod sounds, or are you recording a dry guitar signal, than re-amping the sound through the Pod? If it's the former, then adjust the sound to what you want for that guitar part, record the track, then go back adjust the sound for the next track, and record! A 'fuller' rhythm guitar part will typically have more mids (low mids specially) in it than a lead part. Metal sounds typically have a scooped EQ (like a smile if you were looking at a graphic representation), which is all the mids turned down.
  18. Not sure what you mean. When you switch channels, the settings change to how those channel patches have been saved. IF you touch one of the amp controls (volume, tone, etc), that will 'wake up' that parameter and change the setting to wherever the dial is pointed at the time, that's just the way these amps work.
  19. Note - Windows has firewall settings, as well, you need to make sure they are turned off, too.
  20. With headphones there really is no such thing as 'flat sound'. Expensive ($99 and more) headphones made for music studio work (not those stupid overpriced Dr Dre things) will have a flatter response curve, but due to the nearness to your eardrums, all headphones end up enhancing bass. For listening to yourself play guitar, don't be overly concerned. I picked up a set of (probably counterfeit) Sony headphones on ebay for $20 - construction is not great (I had to reglue the cloth covers over the ear pads) but they've worked for me for 6 years.
  21. Also make sure you have any firewall/antivirus software turned off.
  22. Not sure what someone would mean by 'headphone out sucks'! Running it into a computer and back out to headphones makes no sense unless you are trying to record the output on the computer. What is different is the overall sound - much of which, with a guitar amp, is the way the speaker pushes the air (and hence how you hear it) and how that sound gets picked up by the guitar's pickups creating a natural feedback/sustain (not squealing feedback!) Any set of headphones will work - even earbuds, although you would need to adapt them to the 1/4" stereo output jack of the amp. Just plug the headphones into the jack on the back of the amp and the speakers are automatically muted. Be careful of the volume - don't damage your hearing.
  23. Expensive repair. I don't know why Line 6 never came up with better pedal solution than the flimsy Cat5 jacks/plugs and stiff cables.
  24. The Spider 3 amps do not have the download capability for tones.
