  1. The Spider 3 does not have computer update capability. However, the FBV MkII Express is a great tool to have if you use this amp live, as it lets you switch between the 4 patches on the selected patch bank.
  2. When did you buy the pedal? Maybe its still under warranty?
  3. Yes, you need to use two speaker cables between the amp's left and right outputs to the cabinet's left and right inputs. This will give you the full 150 watts (75 per side). Most of the sound patches in the amp are mono, the only ones that are stereo are ones that use chorus, flange, reverb or delay FX.
  4. Sounds like the pedal could be at fault, but check with a different CAT5 cable, and check the connector pins on both the amp and pedal - sometimes they can get bent out of position.
  5. Part of that may be due to your guitar - the pickup type, for example. Make sure you have selected the 'Clean' preset channel on the amp.
  6. No, the Spider IV 15 does not have computer connectivity.
  7. No, you can't use the 2-button (up/down) footswitch to control the looper function, you need either an FBV MkII Express or Shortboard. Same thing with saving patches to your computer (or downloading patches and loading them to the amp) using Spider Edit - need to have the USB connectivity from the FBV MkII. Not sure I understand your question about the trio, but yes, any changes done to the settings in the amp will affect the looped sound as well. It's a very limited looper that way.
  8. Have you tried a manufacturer reset? With the power off, hold the A button in while turning the power on, keeping it held in for 5-8 seconds. If this doesn't help, then you will need to bring the amp to an authorized service center for evaluation.
  9. You'll do better posing your questions in a new thread, rather than tacking onto a 3-year-old one.
  10. You should not be getting any kind of 'echo' or reverb. Bring it back to where you bought it for exchange.
  11. Do you have your computer's 'sleep/power save' function disabled? This will often affect USB devices.
  12. It's not programmable, and does not have computer connection. It is a switching device only, and settings would be controlled in the amp.
  13. The Line 6 associates rarely come to these forums, so won't see your question, best bet is to call them.
  14. Most small active monitors don't do well with guitar tones unless you keep the volume very minimal. Even 5" aren't great - I've got some very nice JBL LSR305s that work great for listening to music and for mixing, but if I plug a guitar into my interface and then turn up the volume too far, the sound is not very good.
  15. I used some wireless headphones several years ago (not Bluetooth) with a GuitarPort. The latency was minimal, but there, and there were always dropout/interference problems.
  16. It hasn't been released yet, only shown at NAMM.
  17. Can you buy from reverb.com (I'm not sure if everyone who uses them ships to Canada)? They've always got lots of stuff offered.
  18. Same question I asked the OP (who never came back to report) - are you sure your CAT5 cable is good - does the FBV work with the amp?
  19. How are you planning on using the amp? The Jam has features the Spider doesn't, and vice-versa.
  20. See the other thread - you need to set the UX2 as your sound device for everything in your computer's sound devices menu
  21. No, you have to plug the headphones into the UX2! You can then go into your computer's audio device selection panel and select the UX2 as your audio device for everything.
  22. Not sure what you mean by a 'phone USB'. The USB cable needed is the same as one you would use for a printer, a square, keyed end. Unfortunately, if you broke something, you're the one responsible. I'm guessing you mean the little key-lock part of the jack and that you meant you bought in January 2016?
  23. Why not run just the 8 ohm speaker on that one side of the cabinet until you get another 4 ohm replacement? That way you will not be presenting an imbalance to the amp?
  24. Typically you can't use two USB audio devices at one time with a computer ( you might be able to with a MAC). You need to plug regular (not USB) headphones into the UX2 to monitor that way.
