  1. Sharks, the lot of ye! Hungry little helper sharks!
  2. I'm only dreaming here, but I'd gladly pay the service center that I'm going to go to on Monday to upgrade anything they could hardware wise.
  3. And unfortunately all it will do is keep resetting. L6 logo over, and over, and over..
  4. I've read on some other forums about a lot of DJ equipment having the same problem. and of course I call the service center and they're closed today and not open on the weekends, and I start working full time again on Monday. :/ I guess I better familiarize myself a little more with the onboard controls
  5. well, I just called and they said it's covered under warranty since the pod is only just a couple months old. The nearest service center is about an hour away. I did some research and found that a lot of the USB B ports that are on audio equipment are often the cheapest the factory can find. No surprise there. Thanks for all the responses
  6. it easily fits back into both of the USB cable and the USB port
  7. I'd like to try to fix it myself as I can. Does anybody know how it was affixed?
  8. And now this little black thing came out. I'm not sure if this was in the USB cable or if it was part of the pod, but im thinking it was in the pod. Does anybody know? Should I be worried? It still connects but doesn't seem as sturdy. Thanks for any input
  9. I'm running in direct mode. Patches sound fine through some PA speakers, great through some others, and not too good through some others. Must you be so condescending and negative? The sound guy in question is someone I deal with a lot at a club I play at. This will also be the first time I'm using the pod live. All I'm really hoping for is a good sound, no matter of what might color my tone
  10. Thanks napy. I think I'm going to go the route of a Carvin dcm1000 and 2x12 cab on stage while going FOH together. If the sound guy can't get me to sound good then he can mic me.
  11. Theres a markup when shipping pressurized cans with propellants, which is why getting something like that online costs so much
  12. Thanks for the input Kane. I'm still leaning toward getting this DCM1000 because it's just $20 or so for waaay more power
  13. Unfortunately that's not very metal :/ I'd like to put him in another room altogether.. I might pull the trigger on a used carvin dcm1000 (class a/b)
  14. I've read some mixed reviews about those EHX pedals, will they be loud enough to keep up with a drummer at a practice or a gig that doesn't mic up amps before breaking up?
  15. Some of you might remember a thread I made, comparing the use of my HD 500x running direct through a certain set of PA speakers vs running direct through the power amp section of my Carvin MTS3200 and out of my V30 loaded 2x12 cab... And I think ive found out that those PA speakers were old and sounded more like guitar speakers instead of real FRFR speakers, which makes sense of why they sounded similar. I could barely hear anything coming from those horns! I've come to this conclusion after borrowing an active PA speaker (carvin PM12A). In comparison, the carvin active speaker handled mp3s of songs fine with great clarity and top end, and the cheap PA I was using the whole time sounded like I was trying to play an mp3 through a guitar setup. Unfortunately the active speaker didn't take to the Pod like the cheap PA did. There was the infamous fizz monster in all its' glory. And since the cheap PA isn't mine and won't be in my possession long, I've been looking at options. I've been playing guitar longer then I've known how to do laundry or balance a checkbook, but I don't know very much about power amps or preamp, and I'm just learning as I go along, and could really use some advice from some of the very helpful people here. If I decide that I want to run my pod through my guitar cab, is there a small power amp I can get, that will do for me what running through the power section of my head does? One of the nicest things I liked about modeling is not having to lug around a bunch of heavy gear, as I have permanent ulnar nerve damage in both arms. So, the smaller and lighter, the better. Thanks in advance for any help.
  16. For distorted high end and undistorted low end, I guess
  17. It's stock. All Rondo needs to do at this point imo is make a headless model. Agile are built in the same factory as some of the strandbergs, so it could happen... Maybe..... Or not... But I'd like to comfortably sit somewhere and play an erg without stabbing someone in the face with string ends and a pointy headstock
  18. Thanks George. The high gain stuff seems like the hardest to dial in, but it's getting easier.
  19. @Matt Mine is the only Agile I've touched. Ive had it for a little over a year now. The thing about Agile is they don't really have any QC after the guitars are made and shipped from South Korea. That means when you open the box, it has most likely last been touched by whomever packed it in SK. You almost don't know if you're going to get a dud or not. I know how it may sound, but Kurt at Rondo (they sell the Agiles) has an excellent return policy in CONUS. If there's ANYTHING not to your liking you can refund/exchange no questions asked. Mine came in near perfect condition. The nut is a little sloppy but everything else was fine except some fret buzz on the higher strings. I emailed Kurt and he said I could either adjust the truss rod a little bit, or if I didn't want to, he offered to take it back(!). I'm not too particular about set ups (I usually just do a little tweaking myself) but there was little I had to do besides the truss rod tweak. The pickups are excellent (said to be modeled after the Lundgren M8) and I've wired the coils to split. I love it and it is my main guitar.
  20. Warning, 8 string content: Okay, here's my first high gain rhythm tone I was happy with And here is the Big Bottom/5150 patch I'm working on Also, keep in mind I've only had a pod for maybe two months
  21. I was guessing the F Ball! My first tone matching attempt, I looped the beginning of Rainbow Gravity and I used the F Ball with the the Solo 100 pre Very nice.
  22. I believe it! I ran mine thru the power amp section of an amp head and 2x12 cab in direct mode and it sounded great.
  23. Hey, you're on sso! I listened to this when you posted it this morning. I like it, what are you using? I'll try to post something on Thursday when I have a day off work.
  24. For sure. Just the smallest tweaks can yield big results IME
  25. I get what you mean. I see it this way. I set my GEQ to cut the frequencies guitar speakers don't produce, thus, making it sound more guitar-like. This stays the same for all my patches. If I'm playing guitar (99% of the time) it stays that way. All other EQ tweaks I do with effects
