I just assumed you kept it on one preset. What kind of board you running?

The stories are more than welcome, but pictures of past gear isn't necessary. If I'm playing a gig that doesn't require hi gain, I'd just bring my pod and run direct. I'd much rather walk into a club with just guitar and pod

I like the laptop on the music stand. I personally wouldn't lug a computer around in my situation but your setup looks like a cozy one. How do you like the wireless units?

I run in studio/direct with full amp models and cabs. I tend to try to make presets that work for cabs and FR speakers and I get away with it without too much variation in sound. High gain is the toughest IME

Post pics, talk about what you like about your setup, what your setup used to look like, or what you plan on doing to make your setup complete. Here's mine: Above, my Carvin dcm1000 power amp in a Gator rack bag, atop my V30 loaded Carvin 2x12. And my "Podletrain" board. This setup us pretty new for me, and I've used it at a gig and and some jams/rehearsals. Plenty loud and if I need a little more oomph I have a 4x12 cab too. At this point id love one of those small L6 wireless relays Post up!

Same thing happens to me sometimes. Just save/send, change banks real quick and come back to it and it should be fine

I got mine just a few months ago. I play ERGs in a metal band from time to time and I get some great sounds using a power amp and a cab. I'm the only guitarist and I go from clean sounds with heavy effects to hi gain and back again, so tap dancing on gates, delays and amp channel switchers was getting tiring. But I came from using a less-than metal amp and use the 5150 sim in most of my hi gain patches. maybe wait and see what your other guitar player can do with it or test his out for yourself before you get one. But to answer the question of if the unit is worth its price then I'd say yes.

are you sure your XLR cable is plugged into the pod through one of the XLR outputs, either the right or left?

Really? A floorboard with rackmounts? I've never seen that before... Or there's something I'm missing..

You wanna know how I solve the problem of volume discrepancy? Turn the quiet patches up. I have no Grammy nor am I important, but I sure do know my way around a POD HD after having one for two months

I tried several different active speakers at GC; QSC, Mackie, JBL, and I kept going back to the Alto.

I attached mine to a Pedaltrain board and ran the wart underneath.

Check your usb port. The center plastic square broke in mine and caused it to short out.

Awesome. I'm glad your show went well. While you were at yours, debuting your 500x, I was debuting mine across the bay. My setup was through a power amp and cab because the 2 sound guys at the place I was at have the combined brain power of a drunk slug and couldn't get a sound from my XLR outputs. both worked fine for me when I switched from one to the other with amp/cab but I didn't want to take up too much time so they just miced the cab Because I had to get a replacement pod and didn't have a rehearsal with it (flaky bandmates), all my clean sounds were too quiet but other than that everything went fine.

Select a "new tone" and put that comp with your settings in the chain. Copy that preset to all empty presets
