I'm trying to use my Dunlop DVP5 expression pedal to also control wah by changing snapshots. I want the volume to stay where it is (say it was at 70 from 0 to 100 position) and switch to wah. If I bypass the volume block in snapshot 2 it goes back to full volume and if I remove the volume controller for Snapshot 2 it is gone in Snapshot 1 also. Thank you for any ideas.

That's good to know. I noticed my right hand hitting it and activating it when adjusting globals. All of a sudden, tempo would pop up and then I realized I was touching it with my palm.

I have firmware 3.15 and "Stomp Select: Press" doesn't disable Touch of the Tap button. Just touching it activates it.

I got volume working on the Dunlop DVP5 using a TS cable and changing Preferences --> EXP/FS Tip to EXP1, EXP/FS Ring to FS8, Tip and Ring inverted. I had to press the invert button IN the pedal too. The volume pedal shows up on EXP1. If I change Tip to Normal, the volume reverses but goes back when I set to Inverted again. If I change Ring to inverted the sound goes away and the volume pedal has no effect until I set it back to Inverted AND Reboot the Stomp XL. Sometimes it was showing up as EXP2 even though EXP/FS RIng is set to FS8. Any ideas why please ?

I have a Dunlop DVP5 on my Stomp XL and wondering what's the easiest way to go between volume and wah ? Can I toggle between them with the Mode or Tap switch ? Thanks for any ideas and for helping a newbie to Helix. I got the volume pedal working.

Can the Dunlop DVP5 be used on FS7 and have an additional switch on FS8 (using an Insert Y cable) ? The manual says the DVP5 needs a TRS so I'm confused. I need to buy the right cable and hooked it up with just a TS cable and the volume worked up to about 95% and then muted after that. Thank you in advance for any ideas.

Hi, I just bought a Stomp XL yesterday after years of lurking and wonder if it is possible to name my Snapshots. I saw a post that said I could but when I edited the preset file it only shows the changes in HX Edit and not on my Stomp. I have the Stomp XL so Up/Down buttons change preset and want the 4 buttons (2,3,5,6) to show snapshot names if possible. Thanks for any ideas !

Well it only took me about 3 years but I finally ordered a stomp xl this week with a dunlop dvp5. Is there a site that lists different accessories that work for the stomp? For example external footswitches or those cute rubbery things that go around the switches to light up more? While I wait I'm reading the manual I'm watching lots of videos. Coming from my tonelab le this is gonna be fun.

What is a fully licensed Helix Native software ? Are there different kinds. I'm looking to buy a used Helix Floor potentially and would like to have Native also. I can make sure that the seller has the original receipt for the Helix Floor and I can register it online. Thanks !

It's all good. For me as a non-pedal aficionado, I look at helix as a cool box that has sounds just like the real things. I would never have expected a bypassed effect to alter the sound. In my DAW, bypassing effects totally leaves them out so I was expecting the same behavior. The fact that the engineers worked so hard to model the pedals accurately is a testament to their quality. This latest choice for impedance is really great for users like me that just expect a different behavior. I could also see selectable impedance ranges per effect and even controllable by other parameters like drive etc... to be awesome but maybe not so easy to implement.

Even assigning a varying impedance to a control could be useful. https://www.electrosmash.com/fuzz-face The Fuzz Face has a very low input impedance that will change with the position of the RFUZZ potentiometer (between 5.2KΩ and 8.4KΩ in the simulation). So the feedback network has a negative impact on this parameter.
