  1. Sorry to hear about that - sounds like your unit may have been damaged in the incident that required the original repair. I recommend taking to your local Line 6 service center for diagnosis.
  2. the TA4 connection will power most traditional needs, but you'll need to test it out to see if it supplies the power your AT mic requires.
  3. Sorry for the confusion here - if you have older Relay products (before RF2 was released) it will not have the option to switch between the two. We recommend having your Relay systems updated to the latest software to ensure you can move back and forth as needed - check the knowledge based documents for the procedure. RE; the difference between RF1 and RF2: RF1 works on four carrier waves, while RF2 works on two. RF2 was created to "play nicely" with other WiFI in the vicinity, and offers additional scanning options on the higher end Line 6 wireless units. but if your guitar signal is more important you can run RF1. I have done this in performance situations from Australia to the US to Europe and never had an issue.
  4. ryechua -good to know, haven't tried these. the "low power" mode is easily accessable on the TBP12 (from the Relay G50/55/90 system) as part of the menu. this usually bumps you from 8 hrs up to 10, but does compromise the strength of the output. when in doubt - use the normal output mode.
  5. Here is the gear Van Halen originally used: https://landerstorage.blob.core.windows.net/lander-user-images/LanderUserGallery_33558/image_6fcaa0e3-6153-455f-8431-3128251fbbbb_ set the delay to a 16th note, and use the flanger on the turnaround. lots of reverb is required for those early VH albums ;)
  6. on the song "Life in the Fast Lane" they used a Deluxe Reverb, with Walsh on a Strat and Felder on a Les Paul. you can find more gear info at line6.com/tonetemplates.
  7. great work! you may want to pull down on the mids a bit, but you are so close I don't know that it matters. the important thing is to keep up the great playing - Line 6 can always use more great product specialists!
  8. +1 to Silverhead. All of the amp/effect models should work from the 300 to 400, but 400 has some additional options so they may not be backward compatible.
  9. Here's the early Slash rig from the AFD era, which hasn't changed a lot over the years from more recent rig rundowns. https://landerstorage.blob.core.windows.net/lander-user-images/LanderUserGallery_33558/image_dd118117-aaa9-49a9-addc-62ca3e500d52_ However; keep in mind that the M13 only does effect modeling, so you'll want an amp that has the classic "brittish crunch" to get you started. Hoep this helps!
  10. +1: MIDI on the M9 is not as comprehensive as some other Line 6 products. However; I use an HD500X/Pro for the exact same application and it works great. you can even have the MIDI turn on/off specific assigned footswitches so you don't need to burn channels. take a look at the advanced users guides for both products to see what is the right unit for your needs:
  11. try a quarter note delay with the regeneration (repeats) set the three or more.
  12. it can be done, but wasn't designed to do this. you'll need to be careful with the amount of volume you send from the effect loop, as the TT was designed for "instrument input" and can easily be overloaded (or damaged) from too much input. I recommend you look at an M-series device (5, 9 or 13) for this application.
  13. Sometimes there are limits to what a processor can do, so it may have been the only way to make it work for most applications (but the three wildcards can be changed to allow for multiples of the same effect if you want). However; your request can be submitted on ideascale so the developers are aware if your need.
  14. they are grouped in "families", here is a really simple breakdown of the model set families: AMPLIFi - this uses the "POD Farm" model set. all units in the family use the same app and have the same capabilities, but some how speakers (30, 75, 150) or foot control (FX100) or the table top format (TT) POD HD - uses HD model set (released in 2010). High Def versions of POD Farm, as well as new amps and mics. Fiewhawk (FX & 1500): uses both the POD Farm and HD Model sets Helix: uses the latest "HX" model set - all new models, effects, etc. released in 2015. hope this helps clear it up for you!
  15. +1. a small powered speaker may be the best way to get you started, there are several great powered speakers in different price points you can check out at your local music store. Line 6 L2 units are great for this application, and tends to be the setup when a lot of the presets are written in-house.
  16. another trick is to check where you have it in the signal chain. most users (i.e. Tom Morello/Dime) tend to put this early (or first) in the chain.
  17. Jussa21 is spot on. for visibility - FIrehawk (FX or 1500) can read AMPLIFi presets as well as Firehawk presets, so there are a LOT to choose from. FIrehawk has the POD Farm model set (from AMPLIFi) and the HD Model set (from POD HD), and can be controlled via bluetooth and stream audio (which the HD500 cannot do). HD500 can perform dual signal paths (which Firehawk cannot), and has some additional I/O such as MIDI.
  18. oops - sorry about that! We created a template for CCR but apparently hasn't been posted (yet). Fogerty often used Les Paul into a Kustom K-200A-4, to Kustom 215 Cabinet with JBL® D130 speakers in live performance, in the studio he would use that or a Fender Concert or Deluxe.
  19. as Brue58 stated, having the right gear (in the right order) can get you close before you need to do anything. the Line 6 Product specialists have been doing a lot of research to shorten that road - you can check out what we have so far here (CCR & AIC rigs are already listed): line6.com/tonetemplates.
  20. Billy used a few different preamps back in the day, including an ADA MP2, Marshall JMP1 & Mesa Triaxis. these fed into a mixer that went to a gate, Digitech DHP-55 & Eventide H3000, then to a Boogie Strategy 500 power amp and out to (2) Marshall 412 cabs. I am betting he used the Mesa Triaxis live for this one, possibly blending with the MP2... Hopefully this is enough to get you pointed in the right direction. You can check out more documented rigs at line6.com/tonetemplates.
  21. +1 - just make sure you have the latest software installed on your device to the model pack(s) can be unlocked and you're set.
  22. to clarify on the manual info a bit: the "Master Volume at 100%" is referring to the hardware master volume output, which will ensure that you are giving your powered speaker (or console) the best signal to noise ratio. this is how I run my HD500 and have always had good results. when it comes to the modeled power amp - that is going to be up to the sound you are going for. Marshalls are often very strong, but some other amps (i.e. Fender) may not give the tone you are looking for with the MV at full. some artists (i.e. BB King to Eric Clapton to the Sex pistols) have used Fenders with a cranked master volume with great results, but if you are going for old school clean country try setting the MV lower. for those who are interested - you can check out the current published documentation to see the gear that some artists used on classic recordings, you may be surprised at what was used! www.line6.com/tonetemplates.
  23. yes - we do our best to make the names "obvious", at least if you are familiar with the song title. on Firehawk FX we sorted by style in each bank, so there are banks for "modern metal", "blues", "grunge", etc. http://line6.com/data/6/0a06438916a4755651e331a025/application/pdf/Firehawk%20FX%20Factory%20Presets%20-%20English%20%28%20Rev%20A%20%29.pdf
