  1. Thanks DI. I always appreciate what you post, even when it's bad news. Sometimes you have to say the same thing over and over for it to finally sink in.
  2. You should probably look into the Line6 M-Series PedalBoards. On the flip side, you can use the PODHD like an M-Series Pedalboard for your amp and when not using it this way it can be connected to a P.A. or direct into your computer.
  3. The OP said he used Presets. Don't you have to set the HD500 Send and Returns manually when doing the 4cm method otherwise you won't get any sound ?
  4. Here's an interesting question: I have 2 PODHD Desktops, one is a backup. I wonder if I have to buy model packs for both of them or if I can use the same one on both. Guess I won't know till it ships.
  5. Yes and not available until (best guess) approximately March.
  6. Dude you just insulted an entire country. Australia is a 1st world country. http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/third_world_countries.htm
  7. EQ is the most important thing you can have period. The current EQs in the PODHD are really bad, plus take up a slot, and it usually takes 2 or 3 of them to get the tone you need. Think of Global EQ as a (hopefully) good EQ that doesn't take up any slots. I can't stress how important EQ is. It can take a fizzy, trumpety, boomy guitar sound and make it sound good.
  8. Noise Gates work great for me. That's one of the things I thought Line6 did very well.
  9. Hey DI will the Global EQ be in Db and Hz ? Or do we need to wait for that answer ?
  10. This is great news and I'll hold back on my "thank you" until I see if the Global EQ is in Percentage or not.
  11. Just tell everyone on here the official roadmap and we promise not to say anything... ;) ;) Hey I winked so you know you can trust us.
  12. There was more than few times I almost gave up too. But, atleast for me, perseverance and patience finally prevailed and I got what I wanted from the PODHD. I've checked out everything else multiple times in the PODHD's price range and couldn't find anything as good. So good luck with your search. If you find something, let us know.
  13. I took an old Vantage guitar (ever heard of them ?) and worked on it heavily. Finally got it playing really nice. Then I stuck a SuperDistortion pickup in it, which is my favorite pickup for all my guitars. Now it plays great and sounds great. Took it over to let one of my buddies play it. He's a real stickler for Les Pauls, SGs, Strats, no clones or copies allowed. He was impressed. I put a total amount of $70 into this guitar plus the $50 I paid for it and have a nice backup guitar for every day use. I even take this guitar to gigs as a backup in case I break a string or something.
  14. Hey TheRealZap, I was responding to pianoguyy when he said: ----------------- I mean, think about it, how many pieces of software work exclusively on the top-end Microsoft WIndows versions. I wouldn't even be able use this webpage if I was limited to Microsoft, but the EDIT software runs only on certain versions of Windows. -----------------
  15. Wait a second, I thought HD Edit worked just fine on Macs ? I never thought HD Edit exclusively ran on Windows.
  16. The biggest things that helped me was changing Low Cut under Cab Parameters to 160hz and changing Input Z to 32k. Not that these settings will work for you but try fiddling with these and see if they help.
  17. There's no question that the PODHD takes a lot of time and patience to tweak everything just right. I got frustrated several times and almost gave up - I feel your pain. But I kept think about how flexible the routing was and all the effects and amp models it had. Not to mention things like Input Z and setting Input 2 to something else. In the end I got what I wanted and then some. Keep digging, it's in there somewhere...
  18. He must have got his info about the PODHD being EOL from FoxNews.
  19. What about some kind of keyboard rack or something to put it on ?
  20. Sorry I can't help you there. I only use the PODHD and build my own tones.
  21. Yeah but what do you call a guy that hangs out with musicians ? A drummer...
  22. I've played through a Two Rock once and doubt the PODHD has the resolution and ability to do that amp justice. I really wanted to buy that amp but the price was way over the top. It had been modded and the guy wanted $2500 for a 30watt amp. It was the best sounding amp I'd ever heard. No pedals, no effects, just guitar and a cable into an amp and speaker and it sounded great.
  23. The track I posted uses both hi-gain and almost no-gain as I switch presets back and forth. It's not exactly a squeaky clean Fender sound but it's an ENGL Pre with gain on 1%. That's fairly clean.
  24. This is a live recording using the PODHD 1/2 step down tuning. www.ChildrenOfTheGraveBand.com/GID.wav
