I don't expect anything for a product I already bought. However I'd like to see what the successor to the HD line will be. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

I've tried the PODHD Pitch Glide tuning down a half step with a guitar that was down a half step plus the E string was tuned to D flat. Sounded great for me. This is interesting that some people it doesn't work right and some it does. I'm just glad mine works.

I can live with -1, -2, for tunings if they'd make the EQ in HZ instead of Percentage. Hehe, somehow I had to get that in there.... I don't want Line6 to EVER forget about the EQs.

If I remember right it's 50% for standard tuning and 48% drops it 1/2 step. That's using HDEdit. I don't know if it's different when doing it directly into the PODHD.

Engl and Soldano are my two favorite amps.

Here's a patch that has the Pitch Glide in it. See if this helps you. Right now it's tied to the pedal for tuning down but just change that to always being tuned down. http://www.ChildrenOfTheGraveBand.com/BlackSabbath.hbe Should be able to rename the patch for your HD500X for it to load up.

Shot in the dark but what firmware level are you at ?

Where did you get isolated recordings of the original artist ?

You may want to consider opening a support ticket for this. This forum is not the place for official support of Line6 products. It's mostly Line6 customers discussing and helping each other.

The output mode is just an EQ. Studio/Direct is the full output with no EQ applied to it. Atleast for me, I've found that when using a tube amp and cab the Pre Versions of the amps work better and then use the Low Cut under Cab Parameters to fix the boominess. I set mine to 155hz. Other people have found that not using the cab emulation in the PODHD works better for them. But it seems that it's basically an EQ issue in getting this to work.

I have a PODHD into a Marshall JCM900 into a 4x12 cab. I use the 1/4 out of the PODHD into the FX return of the Marshall and the PODHD set to Studio Direct. I use the Pre version of the amplifier models in the PODHD but I do use the cab simulator in the PODHD. I found that I needed to adjust the Low Cut to around 150hz under the Cab Parameters to get the sound I wanted. These are the setting I came up with for me. They may not be what you need. There's a lot of good suggestions in this thread on how to configure your PODHD. It'll take a little time but you'll have a nice tone when you're done.

btw - I've played out zillions of times of the years, still do, and my gigging guitars look like the day they were bought. One of them is almost 30 years old and the other is 20 years old. Now the amps and speakers show some wear but even that is minimal. But I'm extremely careful and it hasn't been easy. So I'd be pissed if I ordered a guitar and it came in looking like a used piece of crap. I'm sure the OP's money looked good...

I use it all the time and it works great. I have the Pitch Glide as the first FX in the chain, which I've heard is the only way to do it. I only use it for tuning down a half step. I've tried it for tuning down more and it worked fine. Don't know why other people are having problems with this.

My post wasn't just about the OP issues but also stumblinman said he had similar issues too. I don't doubt it's a great combination but when two people say the same kind'a thing then something's going on.

I assume you have Input2 set to Mic and not the same as Input1 ?

pianoguyy makes a good point. I'm sure there's a lot more people that have PODHDs than people with Variax guitars. I'm very happy I bought my PODHD and I'm not even considering a Variax guitar. So grab a Snickers bar cause you're acting like a diva.

I never bought a guitar from Line6 but I've used their modeling stuff for a lot of years. I don't doubt there's some serious problems with the Variax equipment but I've always had great quality and support for the modeling hardware. I hope we don't start condemning an entire company and all their products just because of one product. Even though it sounds extremely bad what this segment of the company is doing.

I wish the PODHD Bean had an effects loop but it's a discontinued item.

The first one didn't have enough amperage. If I remember right the PODHDs take at least 2.5 amps or 2500ma.

Wow, that's not good. Dream Rig sounds more like a nightmare.

TRANSLATION: I bought my HD Pod bean the November 19, 2014. 24 December day I downloaded Line 6 Monkey, connected to your server after you creat my account I downloaded (From Monkey) the driver for my Pc Windows XP ver. 4.2.7.1. and after installing it my computer recognized the HD Pod bean. Then, again by Monkey I downloaded both Pod HD edit 2.23 and also flash memory 2.32. Everything worked fine, new sounds and sounds downloaded went excellently. Today 25 December I rekindled the PC and the Pod HD. I connected the USB cable between the two machines (PC and PodHD) and Pod HD edit software has downloaded from Pod HD. I wanted to make a backup of existing sounds on the Pod and I opened the flag menu "File" and "save bondle and at that point went off the POD HD EDIT and I saw the Pod HD display as if I had off and on again. From that moment forward is no longer operated. I turn on the switch, out in the LINE 6 logo and just, and every 576 seconds flashes as if repeated the selection procedure. I no longer know what to do. the Pc does not detect any hardware device, as if it were not connected. The cable and the USB port I have been tested and work. Monkey don't see anymore and obviously Line6 Pod HD edit. What happened? But above all what do I do?

It took 3 tries to get a one in new condition with no issues ?

In Windows go to Control Panel/Sound and select a different default sound device.
