  1. I'm sure you'd tried reinstalling and rescanning for AU's that's about all i can think to do... with pod farm 2.5x you should have x64 plugins.
  2. with the pod studio you'd be tethered to the computer, which may be a good option for you if thats what you want to do with it anyway. the UX2 will add phantom power that the XT didnt have. and pod farm will allow you some reamp capabilities as well. the pod HD has higher sound quality and can be used stanalone... it does however lose the benefits i pointed out.
  3. they're sorted alphabetically you should be able to scroll down from there... try selecting the first one on the list, then using the arrow keys instead of the mouse.
  4. pod farm replaced gearbox plugin. use monkey to download pod farm, it will unlock the plugin version for you for version 1 for sure... version 2.x maybe (depends on when it was originally registered by original owner)
  5. are you sure cubase is running 64 bit? (right click/get info) there's a checkbox you can switch.
  6. maybe just a short jumper cable like this: http://www.zorotools.com/g/00035349/k-G2949161?utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google_Shopping_Feed&kw={keyword}&gclid=CLa71eqo27wCFfNj7AodU0UABQ
  7. no... but you probably shouldn't be using the full models in an L6LINK situation... like you would in an FRFR situation... you of course could... but anyway...
  8. you may need an upgrade... the latest pod farm has 64bit plugins... if you already have pod farm 2, the latest is a free upgrade (2.5x)
  9. makes a world of difference between sounding like a modeled amp and sounding like the real thing to me... and it's not "faked" haha.
  10. 100% certain that the ilok version will NOT use model packs. with the ilok license you have standard or platinum (which is ALL the model packs) you'll probably want to return the model packs... or at least call support and ask them to lead you through your options. http://line6.com/company/contact/
  11. yeah but going by a non-L6LINK cable gets you into ONE power amp.... the L6LINK cable allows you to reconfigure the power amp on the fly... class A/AB, Negative feedback, etc etc
  12. you need to have an FBVMKII footswitch to go with your amp. this will give you a USB connection to your computer.
  13. if you don't think ideascale is an improvement over the old product forum feedback link, then the arguments over because you can't see the obvious. improvement doesn't always equal getting everything you want.
  14. I don't think its that.... i think for the amplifi for example where they wanted to tone match... they'd have to call up the actual recording etc... that's the line they don't cross... but they are working musicians... and that's their style... it is what it is... i've seen them do other bits here and there... but its just not their thing.
  15. the purposefully play originals, because of copyright issues... they've said as much in a few of their videos.
  16. in all likeliness without researching it... your powertrain option probably only provides DC power, and the M13 requires AC power...so they probably are not compatible. feel free to research it and find out on your own, because i cannot confirm this.. but the difference between AC power and DC power is constantly missed when it comes to these.
  17. the JM4 is basically a foot pedal version of the spider jam amp. i don't think it will work like you want it to. I have done a similar thing with my Boss RC300... but that may be overkill for what you're trying to do.
  18. the nearest i can equate it to is a midi sysex update.... i've had to do these types of flashes multiple times as well... only a guess on my part...
  19. technically there are no addon packs for the x3 either... they came hardcoded and could not be separated from the x3 anyway.
  20. have you considered trying a real DAW? http://reaper.fm for example? its free to try and will work forever... i suggest you do that as a troubleshooting step at least. if it works there... then audacity or its configuration is at fault.
  21. not an official announcement by any means... but i think if they were going to do a desktop "x" they would have announced it at NAMM.
  22. exactly right... just make sure that you add the fx loop to your tone, and whatever other effects you might want.. and that should do it.
  23. you can control reason with the FBV MKII... the problem you are going to run into is that you can't control both the pod and reason at the same time... you can connect to the FBV port OR the usb port. connecting both will default to only controlling the pod. you could get another FBV controller if you wanted to do both.
  24. the biggest issue people have is they try to use "no cab" when using line6 link... the DT amps DO USE CABS. so if you select no cab in the pod thinking you'll just use the speaker as is... you're going to sound different.
  25. have you considered a line6 l3t/l3m or l2t/l3m might be some worthwhile benefits in the L6Link
