the determining factor is that the device must have IOS7 doesn't matter what the list says... if the device doesn't support IOS7 it wont work. (and yes they did have some misinformation on the matter that they are working to clear up...) this is as simple as it can get.

Issue With Podfarm/ux2 Authorization
TheRealZap replied to eRok310's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
have you looked at this? http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/computer-based-recording/pod-farm-pod-studio-toneport/osx-109garageband-10-wont-authorize-pod-farm-2-r609 -
I have no idea what they've looked at or not... I use logic x, but didn't have any issues when i was on 9 either. unless it's something that gets fixed in the course of fixing other things... i'd be surprised if they go too far out of their way to support an older version of someone else's software... if i was you though, i'd call them directly... perhaps they are aware of the issue and know a fix? http://line6.com/company/contact/

Hd500x Any Way To Make It Start With Tuner On Power Up?
TheRealZap replied to The1Slap's topic in POD HD
No. -
no definitive answer for this one... but have you tried changing the amps positioning on the cables, just to see if there is a cabling issue? also try that reset procedure that i stated above on both amps, just to make sure that they are both "factory fresh" as i said... this may not affect the issue... just some things i'd try to zero in on whatever it is.

might not not be unexpected: Q: What should I do If I am experiencing connection issues with the AMPLIFi Remote app when I swtich back and fourth between apps on my iOS device? A: An important thing to note about the AMPLIFi Remote app functionality, is that in addition to the iOS bluetooth connection between your AMPLIFi and your iOS device, there is a secondary 'sync' connection between the amp and the app. Each time you minimize/close the app, the connection between the AMPLIFi Remote app and the AMPLIFi will need to be re-established even if your iOS device is reporting that the AMPLIFi is connected via 'Bluetooth'. In this case, re-opening the AMPLIFi Remote app, will automatically re-establish the connection within a few seconds. Make sure to look at the main menu of the AMPLIFi Remote app and wait for it to indicate that your amp is 'connected' before moving forward using the app. If it does not automatically re-connect, close the AMPLIFi Remote app by double tapping your iOS home key and than sliding the AMPLIFi Remote app window up and off the screen to fully close the app. Than relaunch the AMPLIFi Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the amp.

repair centers are independent.. so be sure to thank them as well.

yes... for SOFTWARE packages on the computer VIA a USB connector... (you didn't mention using a computer... you wanted to use it with a DT amp) it does not output midi.... as in direct out to a midi cable that you could plug into a midi device... sorry if that was unclear... the output of the FBV pedal is a proprietary RJ45 cable that transmits midi digitally to line6 devices that accept an FBV connection... not to ones that do not have an FBV connection... such is the case for the DT amps.
-
you can go back to defaults very easily from the front of the DT's as well without midi if you ever needed to. (pinch/hold topo/pent switch together while powering on, release when lights stop flashing)

Guitar Port Some Year Later
TheRealZap replied to pgianf's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
the standalone program is free... the plugin functionality would require an upgrade... in some cases. much depends on the actual device and what licensing was included when you purchased it. -
you have to use a separate midi interface, and monkey will see them... they wont update through L6LINK or the pod....
-
did you update the firmware on both DT amps and the pods? lots of L6LINK related fixes in there... in fact that's been the main focus of the firmware upgrades in the last year i'd say.....
-
you may have to change presets... or check the input settings on that tone.
-
it's guaranteed to be useful... either as an effects processor or a 300$-350$ rebate on ebay :D
-
1. when using DT amps, the amp will physically change via relays etc to match the amp being modeled... using the pre's eliminated the power amp modeling and makes the DT's much more realistically representative of the amp that was modeled. 2. the out on the DT's will include the full sound, cab, amp, mic... 3. may not be a glitch... you have to tell the pod how to interact with multiple DT's upgrading the cables is a great place to start though... just in case that does factor in.
-
you can't get MIDI out of the FBV pedals... its a digital signal... that and if you think you have "8 preset tones" you very much do not understand the DT amps... not to mention... if you're controlling it entirely by midi... there's no limit to how many "tones" you could configure... (other than whatever limits you would have on your midi controller) again... i highly advise against this.... because there are so many things you CAN'T control via midi... mainly the volumes etc... that you'd blow your eardrums switching around.... best to accept it as a 2 channel amp... just use a pod if you want any more control than that.
-
you're reading the manual all kinds of wrong... no way that works without doing some serious engineering. the FBV edit program only works with a computer...
-
a 500x is identical to the 500 other than some slightly better footswitches and a little more processing power.... whatever you consider "bugs" now likely still exist...
