  1. nice conspiracy theory.. but it doesn't say that Line6 is going away or shutting down.... just new owners.

  3. totally good idea! there's probably just a trick to it.. sometimes you have to omit certain numbers are add certain letters. you can always call...
  4. although i prefer the SSS pickup configuration, the 69s models just don't look good to me... the pickguard just looks sloppy and elementary, no thought into it at all.. just "let's cover the hole" so if/when i get a 69 it will probably be the non "s" model. i can always drop a bucker sized p90 or something in it later if i feel the need... with all the modeling i'm not expecting to be that needy though :D
  5. I'm not aware of it being a common issue, it is a minor annoyance, but shouldn't make any difference ultimately as you don't have a warranty on a 2nd hand purchase.
  6. Yes, i have the 59 and just never bonded with it like i'd hoped... thinking a 69 might be in my future.
  7. have you updated your pod to the latest? I'd do that first. I'm not sure how much different of an experience you'd have with the floorboard, seeing as how you'd need a direct comparison.... i'd pick one up and try it... you'll probably have some time when you could return it if its no better.
  8. all the us ones i saw there were full price. was surprised to see that they offer the older models still! 300/700 acoustics, and the 300/600/700 standard variaxes... all at pretty much standard street price from when they were newly released.
  9. Couldn't speak to how it happened, but sounds like you've confirmed the hardware issue. there isn't anything on the board that's changeable... except the whole board itself.
  10. you can use the FBV longboard as a controller... however, to update the amp you'd need one of the newer MKII pedals... they have usb ports to connect to a computer (primary difference)
  11. I'm pretty confident, but was not told any specifics that i could cite.
  12. all of them that i've seen like this, needed new motherboards.. in other words... dead. you can find a service center to verify, but your money would probably be better spent finding a used replacement.
  13. you might try an older driver... worked for some others.... (may not work for you...) To remove driver 7.3.6 1- On a terminal run this command sudo pkgutil --forget com.line6.driver.xtaudio.package (enter) 2- Then this sudo pkgutil --forget com.line6.driver.xtmidi.package (enter) 3- Reboot To install driver 7.2.9 4- Downloaded driver version 7.2.9 http://line6.com/sof...a.html?rid=5675 5- Run the 7.2.9 driver package to install it and ended the process with a reboot
  14. thats the point and much the same for all of us.... only difference is that the models liked change from person to person.... i've never heard anyone say "i use them all on a regular basis"
  15. sweetwater always has USA jtvs listed: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/search.php?s=jtv&sb=popular&pn=2 they could probably order something they dont have as well.
  16. the models are tuned to the body/style of the guitar... so not really any difference... that's not to say you won't hear one... afterall you might play slightly different etc on the different style guitars... i know i do... so it makes a different in my playing it makes a difference in the sound... but that's not really a difference in the modeling!
  17. no idea about other details... the topic has just came up before and that's the answer... the dsp chip is directly soldered to the board and not socketed.
  18. a DSP upgrade will never happen.... unless its a whole new product.
  19. Line6 do pay attention to ideascale... confirmed. 100%. just because nothing is visibly happening... doesn't mean it isn't... we all know that they are generally quiet about things they are working on...
  20. you need to use the FBV MKII or FBV MKII express floorboards as far as i know... i've not heard of anyone doing so direct through midi (doesn't mean it cant be done... i just don't know.)
  21. the valid license it sees is for pod farm 1. you can have both installed...
  22. i've seen some posts that indicate that it should work... some users have had to use older drivers though.
