Question: DT amps + new Model packs?
TheRealZap replied to ColonelForbin's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
yes it will select the correct amp topology and settings for the particular amp selected. (that's just sending the right midi commands to the DT, no update required) -
I haven't had a chance to try it out with an acoustic yet, wouldn't want to alter expectations without hearing it first.
-
its not in edit... its on the systems I/O menu on the unit itself.
-
I thought it was ok, competent enough. it works very cleanly, and doesn't add alot of flavor. hard to be too glowing about an amp that does that! i love my actual JC120, more for it's built in chorus sound than the amp itself... but it is the amp that i use with my stomp box rig... and it does let the pedals do the talking so to speak.

No DT updates.... but the dream rig will still work as expected... only difference is that you cant setup the DT to work with the new models standalone.

Workbench compatibility with Pod hd500x and variax 300?
TheRealZap replied to ioscommuter's topic in POD HD
answer what? its long confirmed that 1st gen variax will not be implemented in the hdx models or any pods going forward. congratulations... if that makes you right.... you win. nothing. -
they've previously stated that the 1st generation variax and its associated workbench are long unsupported and will not be implemented into the HD pods going forward. the original non X versions are the last to feature compatibility.
-
don't think that the global EQ is supposed to be in edit.
-
the missing amp models thing is mostly coming down to people not knowing the Line6 Amp names.... AKA small tweed=champ

Spider IV 15 and FBV Mk II Express
TheRealZap replied to Lexikatscan's topic in Spider IV / Spider Online
doesnt work for those models: (according to the FAQ) Q: What is Spider Edit? A: Spider Edit is offered as a free software editor for all Spider IV (75, 120, 150, 150HD) amplifiers owners. Spider Edit required USB connection to a computer using a Line 6 FBV Shortboardâ„¢ MkII or FBV Expressâ„¢ MkII Series Controller device and CAT-5 connection to a Spider IV amplifier. -
*except the models brought over from the X generation (mostly metal pack)

Not sure if this is the answer.... but try this. you *must* reset the global setup options which includes resetting the Setlist names and pedal calibration by: Disconnect the USB cable connection between HD500 and host computer. Power off the POD HD500. Power on the POD HD500 while holding the LEFT ARROW (<) button while plugging in the power supply to the POD http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/pod/pod-hd500-hd500x/pod-hd500xhd500-pedal-calibration-r161

the pre versions do not have the amp modeling... just the preamp... they were created primarily for use with the DT amps... but can of course be used with any power amp without adding a modeled power amp sound on top of it.
-
save your tones, and then re flash, without saving your tones.... just to see if the update process may be having issues with the earlier tones.
-
they are not named like the real names...
-
needs some simplification... especially if you're looking to come to the forums from the main page.... if thats what you mean....

Can anyone help me? line6 pod farm 2.55
TheRealZap replied to kpe1979's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
if you bought it new it should work... have you registered the UX1? http://line6.com/account/registergear/ -
No, the cabinets that were released are explicitly stated in the model pack descriptions if they are included. as you noticed... not all amps come with cabinets.
-
it has nothing to do with any L6/Yamaha merger. here's a link to the windows download... worked for me... http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=5251 you may have some sort of security software or pop up blocker stopping you.
-
instantly took me back to the vintage one i had years ago... far too gone to do any A/B but i'm happy to have it.
-
pretty sure that just adds the security and licensing stuff needed for the model packs.
-
I think it's pretty easy myself. just because you have the ability to deeply tweak stuff doesn't mean you have to.... but throw together an amp and some stomp pedals.... and play... easy. in fact they say as much on the video.
-
love the new champ... such its own thing... reminds me of the little POS champ i had decades ago... good fun... not your typical fender.
-
very cool.... recognize many of the forum guys :)

the pro x has also been released.
