yes thats what it means.
-
take it to your friends place or try a different machine.
-
Ok.... but it is free for the update itself.... and you're not required to make any purchases. and your pedal that was great before the update is at least still great after....
-
its also been stated many times that the looper doesnt take up DSP. believe me if the ability to disable the looper gave them any substantial DSP availability that ability would have been added long ago.

POD HD & DT - channel B?
TheRealZap replied to lukazhalfar's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
sounds like you thought you could run channel A AND channel B in a dual amp type thing on one DT amp.... yeah... not possible... its a single amp with 2 channels (a pair of different settings for standalone use) it's not 2 amps. :) -
most likely they will just have the 2.61 changes wrapped into the 2.60 release on those units. but who knows... they were trying to make matching firmware numbers between the units so they may just release it as a 2.61 either way i'm certain any fixes will be wrapped into whatever number they release it as.
-
sure the hardware is the same... but either you are on different firmware levels or you have different settings... there are system settings that do not come with the tones.... different output modes.... and different input settings. sounds like you need to upgrade yours using line6 monkey.
-
that was space that was talking about the cards.. they are for recording. they could have limited the device to the point where you'd never see the message... but you'd probably hate it because then you'd have one amp etc... one input... one of each type of effect... or whatever other limitations they would have had to artificially put in place to keep you from seeing the limit. they could have doubled the price and added faster processors etc... but then nobody would buy them... so that doesnt work either.... the majority of your problem is the dual amps... you have to pick and choose your battles... if your tone is that distinguished... stop adding sh*t to the chain. also dont use things that are just there to turn on from time to time... an off effects counts as DSP.... better to remove it... and save an identical tone next to it with the effect on and whatever else removed...to make it work.
-
get rid of the dual amps... or at least change one to just the preamp version.
-
its all hardware... the tones being equal... the hardware settings are probably where the difference is.

FW 2.6 and License Manager problem with Pod HD (Bean)
TheRealZap replied to xpanmanx's topic in POD HD
correct, pack will work with no extra charges. -
check the output mode and input mode (as well as input z) settings on his pod....
-
you have to have a pod hd pro x or 500x at the moment... the others will be released soon.
-
Certainly not official just repeating the last official public statement.
-
Jandrio is right you can't delete. Just overwrite it.

i haven't tried yet... but typical Line6 licensing allows for 4 devices/computers from a single license. i don't believe that you would have to re-purchase anything.

POD HD & DT - channel B?
TheRealZap replied to lukazhalfar's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
theres no reason to do this... channel b is really only standalone amp use.... channel A changes "channels" everytime you choose a new preset with a pod (l6link) turning the amp off in the pod will switch to channel B on the DT and it will be whatever you have channel B configured to be in the DT.... BUT... you will not hear any post effects you have setup on your pod. -
just stay away from the hammer... for 2 weeks.... damn... how many times does it have to be said... the update for the 500 (+hd pro and bean) is coming.
-
the guitar will continue to work for a long time... and a user that cared enough could keep a machine with the older supported operating system loaded up... whats not supported is the newer 500x as an interface.... the older gear works as it always did. but yeah... variax isn't for everyone... no surprise there.
-
its not in edit.. its on device in system menu.... its global.... to the unit... not something you can adjust on a tone by tone level.
-
it will need to be connected at some point... not while or during the purchase.... (can be at a later time on your home computer etc) after the purchase.... you will log into your line6 account with the license manager it will see the model pack purchase and see your pod (when plugged in) and you will authorize the pod (after you do all the needed firmware updates etc) after that you would not need to connect it and the licenses should work fine offline etc... this question was to see the model pocks in the computer editor offline... you may need to be online to do that, i have not tried yet. not something i would typically do since i'd want to hear the tones i'm dialing in.
-
there is a check box you can select that will remove the https requirement.

they charged for model packs on XT and pod farm too... nothing new.. and not a required purchase. also the hd500 is obviously just different enough to need it's own version of the firmware... someone had to be first.... of course they are going to choose their current in production model... the important thing here is YES they are creating the update for the 500 users as well... 2 weeks isn't very long to wait.... especially when you were kind enough to suggest making everyone wait until they were all ready.
