  1. not sure... they've actually added new models as an optional add on with the downloadable models of the JTV 89 (all its pickup positions) i know that some of the models changed with the variax 2.0 software, perhaps they got rid of some in the process. in any case the older firmwares are still available of desired... there would be tradeoffs of course... you may lose features, fixes, and functionality... but the sounds are available none the less.
  2. that's the way to go... future proof, cross platform, and easy... i'm sure there are advantages to the way its done now... perhaps less latency etc.... but for your general setup/soundcheck etc... the web method would probably be acceptable.
  3. let's vote the idea up and show them that it's what people want! http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Sell-Amp-and-Effects-models-individually-in-an-online-store/714980-23508?submitted=1

  5. i've installed it on 2 devices with one license no problem.
  6. it wont show up if you keep your tones....
  7. it was technically not longer supported at 10.7, it just happened to work anyway, because apple hadn't made any changes that affected it. there are probably 10's of older drivers that may work.. yes some may cause issues... since clearly they are not designed to work with that OS. i'm just trying to give you ideas to help you help yourself... not official by any means... officially it's simply not supported any more. i hope you can figure something out.
  8. i'd suggest opening a support ticket, and maybe calling them (M-F 9-5PST) they can probably walk you through some options. http://line6.com/company/contact/
  9. you know the biggest benefit to Line6 to do individual amps that noone has mentioned.... the used market... suddenly the used pod you bought has options.... but unlike now... line6 can make money off of them, rather than just taking the occasional support calls etc.
  10. can't say what the issue is, but sometimes software on your machine can affect monkey. might try another machine if possible.
  11. sorry dude i was trying to be funny and thought this was the pod group where 2.6 just came out. what variax do you have?
  12. I've installed the license on 2 pods without an issue. historically they allow 4 as nico said.

    2.6x fixes

the latest one always includes all previous fixes. the changes in 2.62 are just to address some minor bugs with the new features of 2.6/2,61
  14. you need to open a support ticket: http://line6.com/company/contact/
  15. first you build a delorean.... then you find 1.2 jiggawatts.... mash the gas and hit 88mph. if i had to field a guess for 3.0, you might try 2017
  16. True. You can do a lot more with the short board. Just costs a lot more
  17. You won't see anything. Unless you changed the setlist names previously as the would revert to factory names. The tones are unchanged.
  18. The difference is the Usb connection it will work just not supported and no longer sold so was never tested. Many guys have used them.
  19. uhm... totally and completely last in the chain... right before the output.
  20. you do know that Line6 would have replaced the tranny for free.... sounds like you're getting an upgrade though!
  21. in all my mysticism and pondering.... I've come to the conclusion.... that perhaps they just released it when it was ready :)
  22. you can use the regular 1/4" out with the wireless device..... and it will work like any other guitar. the wireless VDI is a common request... they've not announced anything, and i would be very surprised if one were to come up anytime soon!
  23. nice theory! :D it helps that im pretty familiar with the cast of characters... and can pretty much predict which threads are going to hot button which users! :) in truth we are all fairly easy going... new posters don't often get the humor in some of our posts... but if we couldn't razz and joke with each other a little i doubt we'd hang out as much as we do....
