  1. I don't think there's that much difference in the x models.... if you couldnt get your head around the DSP limit before... the X is only a modest difference.... however with the DT amps... if you update the DT... you can run the reverb entirely off the DT amp saving the DSP which can be a big saver... i'd keep the DT... but its not going to cure your desire for more DSP... you need to manage that on your own.
  2. by the logo you'd think it was a variax HD bundle!
  3. yeah i can see that.... very easy to run out of DSP that way... but not so hard to manage if you don't do that.....
  4. you can use the model pack with either.... 1 or 2 BUT the model pack will not work without a full license... as in no.. it wont work with the free version of pod farm.
  5. No changes have been announced! :)
  6. try a physical "fix" like these guys: http://line6.com/support/topic/2283-disabling-looper/?hl=chapstick&do=findComment&comment=14544
  7. i have no idea what you guys are doing... the DSP limit is something i rarely run into and i can generally manage it... work around it whatever.... you can never get rid of it... there will always be a limit...even with dual chips... and of course there will always be someone to complain about it. i'd say you'll find more people willing to live with the DSP limit as it is.... than you'd find people willing to pay significantly more for extra DSP that they will rarely utilize. sure more DSP would be great! but at some point you have to assess the value and the consumers desire to pay.... i'm certain that Line6 has stuff in the works... i'm equally certain that it's not going to be free! i believe the quote was "year of the guitarist".... so we can determine that winter NAMM was not a full reveal.
  8. It goes out of stock a lot but they do offer it in the website store when available.
  9. I love mix craft. Not free but it's worth it for the way it eases the workflow and technology areas and keeps you on the music. It's the closest thing to GarageBand and logic you can get on windows. I use a lot of plugins mostly UAD, toontrack, and waves. Not free but worth looking at when you get a few bucks.
  10. yeah but steinberg created VSt's and cubase... which in my opinion is the least usable DAW... unless of course you started way early in the game with cakewalk etc... then it may feel normal... but its far from intuitive! in other words... im glad we can mix and match and choose....
  11. http://www.vst4free.com/ http://www.vstwarehouse.com/ http://www.vstplanet.com/ in other words... they are everywhere! i would look for more like this though: http://www.musicradar.com/us/tuition/tech/the-27-best-free-vst-plug-ins-in-the-world-today-277953 where someone else has checked them over and recommended them.
  12. surprisingly... the fender would have a higher value if it was older and beatup than if it's new... i don't think you'd get any new sonic turf by trading... and the value is really similar.... the bigger difference if you plan to flip it.... is that the deluxe will play to a wider market.... more tube snobs/cork sniffers out there than there are digital aficionados... so it might sell/trade faster if that's the route you're going.... i don't think the trade would be worth the effort myself... unless it's something you want. new toys are always fun..
  13. pod farm only works with cards that have ASIO drivers.... meaning the same hardware has to be selected for input and output.... that's not to say you can't have the output feeding a different interface etc... or be creative about it in some other way... but that creativity will have tradeoffs.
  14. it's a 2000$ mixer.... the argument can be made that people who can buy one... can also buy a 200$ ipad. sure android would be easy for you since you already own one.... and i have nothing against android.... if that stops you from buying one, maybe you just don't want it bad enough?
  15. why not reduce the string volume a bit on the acoustics.... another trick if the main 6 string models don't work for you.... turn off the octave strings on the 12 stringers=2 new 6 stringers....
  16. game of thrones is awesome! agree on house of cards.
  17. i think you have to involve ilok.com in the process. make sure the license can even be transferred. they dont allow that option for every license.
  18. i watched and liked revolution. (Jericho is along those lines as well... good show) and agree on house of cards... they really didnt leave him anywhere to go when they made him president. and Claire is just acting spoiled.
  19. you can't really pirate an ilok license, since it's all 3rd party and requires hardware. although its unclear if you're buying an ilok device with the license on it... or a license that you will be transferring to your own ilok.
  20. worth a binge watch on netflix... just saying... :) pretty dynamic show watching it like that. its much harder to watch at a regular scheduled time... breaks up the action too much
  21. not every android is perfectly capable of running the software, as they can be significantly different. There are only a few tested android devices. I had no such issues with mine (LG Gpad7) you should open a ticket and call support, they may have ideas for you. http://line6.com/company/contact/
  22. i just checked the link and it works for me. I do not know the answer to your question... but if you add the idea to the site linked above, the community may rally behind it and the product managers will see the demand.
