I'm positive that there is a fix... go to the service center and have them look at it.... you're on a forum with a bunch of users not electronics repair experts. if you want an official line6 response... call them or fill in a support ticket... this is not the way to get that response... your issue is really not as widespread as you'd like to believe. http://line6.com/company/contact/ and no... noone asked about warranty coverage, because everyone's unit is far past their warranty... because their units lasted far past their warranty... sorry none of that is what you wanted to hear.... but you will get a more official response by pursuing the correct path to get that response.
-
you don't have to break things... for them to end up broken.... quality of power, handling, environment and many other things factor in. but if the issue didn't exist for the length of the warranty.... then the issue isn't covered as a defect anyway.... a warranty covers defects for a set length of time...

i'm not the least bit shocked that queensryche was not included.... however, you can try http://customtone.com to see if any like minded user submitted any.

SonicPort VX and PODFarm 2.5
TheRealZap replied to makoelsch74's topic in Sonic Port devices / Mobile In
it will work, don't believe that it comes with pod farm. and some users have complained about the latency... i didn't have any issues myself.... worked acceptably for me. -
i'm surprised it works at all! condenser mics typically require phantom power which the pod does not deliver... you might need to add an extra component... something like this: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/art-tube-mp-studio-mic-preamp this is a preamp.. but it provides phantom power... you'd still run it through the pod for effects\feed to software etc...

replacement grille for xd 75 hh 12
TheRealZap replied to ingofix's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
You'll probably need to have your local line6 dealer special order it for you. the page from the store should have the part number that they'll need. -
there are plenty... they usually pop in when users alert them to poor forum behavior or abusive threads. there are none tasked with reviewing the forums daily use... and even then... you'll be far more likely to see the support manager or a product manager... it's extremely rare to see a service tech or engineer, which is what you are asking for. I've suggested a support ticket or telephone call as a means of assuring contact. your odds aren't that good by any other means.
-
It's a user forum... it used to be used for support. there is noone official from line6 that would answer you directly... there may be engineers etc... service techs... but they would just be users trying to be helpful... you can also call a line6 authorized service center from their list and ask for their ideas...

if it's a spider valve MKII i don't believe that you can edit your tones on a computer... think that only applies to the Spider IV models.

What kind of function thinks you to added in USB port of AMPLIFI?
TheRealZap replied to mekayama's topic in AMPLIFi
they won't say ahead of time... I'm sure it will be made useful though! -
every change is different... no idea whether you will like/dislike the changes i suggested... i didn't suggest them with any sort of tone in mind... i suggested them solely with the DSP in mind.
-
No i'm saying that there is newer software available that you can use to edit your XT, it's called gearbox. go here and you should see it: http://line6.com/software/ should also show available in line6 monkey if you have that installed... and also.... you can download tones directly from here: http://line6.com/customtone/ outside of edit.

I was just saying that recalling a tone on the pod, will recall the preset on the m5. if you wanted to change the preset on M5, that's something you'd have to figure out yourself... I didn't have the need myself.. was simply offloading the reverb to the M5 so that i could have more DSP for other things on the pod... the m5 is not programmed or controlled by any FS on the pod in my case... (the effect on/off is still easy enough through the FS on the M5) if i want to change the m5 preset i'd change the whole tone on the pod. but if you are in a pod tone 1A and change to 3B the pod will recall a new M5 setting if one is saved in that tone..

the HD500 patches aren't natively compatible with the HD500x.... they will work... but 500x won't directly use them without at least changing the file extension.

Last i heard lincoln brewsters patches were for an x3 not an hd500.... but i don't follow him, so i can't be sure....

you dont say what kind of FBV you have....

HD500x turns on variax mode on JTV89F when I switch presets
TheRealZap replied to bobwilken's topic in POD HD
sometimes the presets have different inputs assigned to them.. hence the zero volume. believe it or not though... sometimes hum and hiss are a part of the tone.... (cant speak for intent with your referenced presets though...) did you get the hd500x new? doesnt sound like the out of the box preset experience to me... volumes all over the place... and the presets not being very desirable.. yes.... automatic variax models, odd inputs, no volumes, excessive hum/hiss... not so much.... -
works great... ive used my m5 in this manner... select tone on the pod... then select PRESET on the m5... hit save on the pod.... next time you call up the tone on the pod, the m5 goes to the previously select preset.. no other config needed. i didn't do anything more advanced than that... but what else to do other than build your tone and preset to your liking?

TheRealZap replied to Ujinomoto's topic in Sonic Port devices / Mobile In
yes, you can use it to record directly into any DAW windows or mac without using an iOS device. -
HD500x turns on variax mode on JTV89F when I switch presets
TheRealZap replied to bobwilken's topic in POD HD
sometimes i hate being wrong... but yeah, i was going by the fact that the xt live has it... seems strange that the xt pro doesn't but i did confirm in the manual that you are correct. i wasn't confused, i have the hd pro x, i simply assumed wrong. not all tones are created for the same purpose... that accounts for the volume differences... and they are huge sometimes! but what works in a bedroom or headphone environment won't work for a live situation, etc.
