  1. the FBV2 should also work: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FBV2?device=c&network=g&matchtype=&gclid=Cj0KEQjwveufBRDlsNb3kb-twMIBEiQASNH0xjRI58yjIETkgGdmf9E77xutLdVPW7sPs1UzUW3lHN0aAjkr8P8HAQ the express and shortboard FBV (MK1, and MK2) but they'd probably be overkill for your amp because the boards have alot of features that your amp can't use... you can basically use any line6 pedal that has FBV in the model name.
  2. I don't think its "officially" discontinued as its still listed on the site.... i also imagine you can find a new one with a little effort... but i do think that Phil is right... been "unofficially" discontinued for a while.
  3. i'm happy with the hd pro x... BUT... its identical to the HD pro as far as how it operates etc... so if you didn't like it before you won't like it now.
  4. they are at the bottom of this page... : http://line6.com/dtv2update/ the links look like regular text so they might be hard to spot.
  5. PUT is at the top of the memory window that shows your tones... (along with GET if you want to bring a tone from the device to gearbox)
  6. there has never been an official commitment to support android. they are certainly looking into it... you can add your voice/vote here: http://line6.ideascale.com/
  7. a handful in the store... https://www.globalfulfillment.net/gfsnet/line6/10Browse.aspx?cid=194 different logos you may have to call the support number during regular hours http://line6.com/company/contact/
  8. you're talking about a mature device that's been out over 5 years... if it's not yet an epidemic problem... its a safe assumption that it wasn't one.. .and won't be one... the people here: 1. cannot physically look at your device 2. are not affiliated with line6 in an official support capacity (myself included) 3. are merely giving you suggestions you can try in order to isolate the issue 4. are giving you options besides the cold, and unfortunate possibility that you need to visit a support center. having said all that... here is where we find ourselves: http://line6.com/find/service_center/
  9. I agree that getting to the forums is kind of a hassle... but i always found the official product info fairly easy to locate, and the forums can be a great supplement to that info sometimes...
  10. check here for the drivers: http://line6.com/software/ sometimes getting them and installing them outside of monkey helps... is it a windows machine or a mac? can make a difference.... also the recording inputs can be adjusted through the control panel/system preferences.
  11. dude... those units were released about 5 years ago... there is not an epidemic issue... sure you could have a bad unit (there i said it, happy?) but if its a used unit, and has been away from the factory for a number of years... and if you aren't the original owner... then Line6 doesn't owe you anything... neither does anyone on the forum that has been trying to help you... if you truly believe its a hardware issue as your document suggest, then you need to get the unit to a service center to be repaired... because we can't help you.
  12. well you bought a used unit... it could be a problem with the unit... but since someone else had it first no telling... everyone here is trying to help you... be upset... but be smart about it... noone here sold that to you... not even line6.... yet we are all offering suggestions...
  13. it's a common request, so i'm sure that they have looked into it... because it was not designed for this function, they may be coming up against hardware limitations. you can make an official request here: http://line6.ideascale.com/ or try to find a similar request and add your voice/vote.
  14. it's normal, the m20d is not a realtime audio interface for recording in that manner.
  15. the toneports and pod studios are nearly identical and both work with windows 7 (and windows 8) the primary difference is the included software and licenses.... for example... you would most likely NOT have a pod farm 2 licence with the toneports (pod farm version 1 would work though)
  16. I do not believe it's possible to do so, primarily because line6edit/gearbox is a critical piece for properly formatting the tone files.
  17. no reason to mess with the license manager or worry about registration at all with the pod hd products... as there are no secured licenses etc. the only exception would be that the product needs registered to get support... but not within monkey... within the site... which sounds like that part is fine. honestly it's probably not worth pursuing if the simple things suggested don't correct it... since using monkey would be a rare occurrence and that's the only place you'd likely see that message.

  19. yes, as stated... pod farm 2 is an upgrade... but not always a free one...
  20. i think digital igloo basically said "challenge accepted" as a hint that he has some things in the works he can't speak of... things that will exceed the current dream rig by the context of his post... i think its an obvious interpretation... but obviously he can't come out and say any more or he would have... so remain cynical if you must.....
  21. wouldn't be that hard to just get some right size bolts... then slip little bits of rubber hose on the protruding parts really... probably less than 10 bucks and you could experiment with the size and get a nice snug, secure fit.
  22. you should never do any updates on anything when its in working condition and you're in the middle of something critical.... so to answer your question, what you would do if you're smart is wait. in many instances, the ability to perform updates is a system issue that exists outside of the pod itself... no idea if that applies to you or some other scenario.... have you tried multiple computers? that'd be the quickest way to narrow it down...
  23. set the master at a comfortable level... try the tones... raise or lower the channel volume (THEN SAVE) after doing this the master volume will raise and lower all the patches reasonably...
