  1. the 89 and 89f electronics and tunings are identical.
  2. an XT Pro should have a variax connector... perhaps you have a pod pro? the previous one?
  3. if there is a question in there i missed it, welcome aboard i guess :D
  4. if you happen to be on 2.x playing with workbench a cool trick to get a couple of extra acoustic models to play with is to turn the octave strings off on the 12 stringers....
  5. usually just a digital path to your DAW... nothing major.
  6. Line6 are not ignoring the issue on the forums... they simply do not conduct support in the forums..... if you want input or assistance from line6 please call or open a ticket: http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  7. try switching the less dominant amp to a PRE (or both) version rather than the full model.... also try assigning the pedal to control amp channel volume rather than using the volume control pedal effects.
  8. Not where I can watch the video. But it does sound like you're confident that the variax isn't faulty. Which has got to be good news on some level.
  9. should work fine, I don't think that you'd have any latency issues... just turn off monitoring for your vocal track.
  10. its on the unit itself... go into setup page 7 Choose whether you want to assign all your Variax settings on this Setup pg 7 screen on a per Preset basis or Globally.* • When set to “Preset,†all the parameter settings shown on the Variax Setup screens (Setup pages 7 & 8) are saved and recalled individually per POD HD500X preset. You’ll see additional options in the screen when you have a Variax connected and choose “Preset.†• When set to “Global,†this provides complete manual control over all Variax functions, regardless what Variax settings you may have saved within the POD HD500X presets.
  11. its a setting in the unit... if you have it set to preset.. then yes... but you can set it to global... and it will never enable the models automatically.
  12. third icon from top left in post edit screen gives you the media option to embed videos.
  13. be great if they are.... it was of course unofficial... and more than a few firmwares ago... but should likely still be a good ballpark.
  14. someone did that a while back: http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/50339 sadly I don't have the document though...
  15. most sellers have a 30 day return... sounds like bad timing though, couldn't be prevented because it had to come out sometime.

    OT: iWatch

no joke though... the petersen strobe tuner app is a revelation. (albeit an expensive one for an app, but amazing, nonetheless)

    USB port

I can't be certain what will become of the usb port... I know some would be happy if it simply charged the iOS device... I do know that they have plans for it, and that it won't be long before those plans are unveiled.
  18. you've asked your question on the user forums... not many users have the hd300.... you need to contact support: http://line6.com/company/contact/ you can open a support ticket or give them a call.
  19. they're going to come out with the iTip a special attachment to your trem bar for poking the apple watch! :D
  20. all you have to do is download the license manager and authorize your computer. your purchased licenses are tied to your line6 username and will not require a license or registration code.
  21. I've pretty much likened the upgrade to a midi sysex type update.... which is to say that it could indeed work exactly that way... if you've ever done any midi sysex upgrades to equipment you'll know what i mean. very similar to loading a config in a cisco router (if you're an IT guy)
  22. sounds like the motherboard you replaced (used maybe?) came with licenses? if you actually own the model packs just open up the license manager and reauthorize them.
  23. you are correct... there is currently no control over the amplifi except for those with iOS7 apple devices.
  24. not really possible... HOWEVER... a user has taken the time to recreate them manually: http://www.benvesco.com/blog/tones/2008/bass-pod-xt-presets/
  25. I think it's highly unlikely that they would add more models. pod farm uses the previous generation of models, and they would be more likely to add HD models in the future... or whatever comes after that.... anything is possible... just thinking that it's unlikely in this case.
