  1. it will only connect to one device/computer at a time... not multiples.
  2. no... the packs also work with pod farm which is an active product... if you love the XT enough it will be worth the purchase... the packs did come free with the x3 models.
  3. no... only some original owners that registered their x3's in a specific timeframe. certainly not all x3 owners.
  4. did you pay for a pod farm 2 license? only a pod farm 1 license is included with the x3 for free.
  5. the hd500 won't play through your mac speakers if that's what you're trying to do... you can trick your mac into making it work... but the resulting latency etc is not going to make for a good experience.... if you want to do it yourself... google mac aggregate audio and i'm sure you'll get the info. ideally you just want to plug speakers/amp/headphones into the pod.
  6. according to the part number and the fullcompass site they are the same cable. I'm pretty confident it will work. I too have the ipad 3 and would be curious to hear your feedback. I use my VX with some newer iOS device now with the lightning cable.
  7. didn't notice the graphic! nice one... much easier to explain with the picture.
  8. have you reset the amp to factory defaults? pinch the pent-tri\topo switches together and hold while powering on... it can stay in standby... and only release after the lights respond with some quick flashing.
  9. just to be clear... 2 different things being talked about here... "update flash" is different than the line6 logo reboot i was referring to... I do not have specific examples of anything other than a bad tone causing the issue... but it could also be caused by corruption in the global settings, firmware, or hardware faults. in the instance of "update flash" I've found that installing and updating from a different computer has helped me a couple of times. might have to do with security software/firewall, or even malware disrupting the communication during the flash...
  10. did you buy the model packs? also be sure that you authorized them. get the latest version of monkey: http://line6.com/software/ then run the license manager that will install... log in and authorize your computer.
  11. you need to call or open a support ticket if you want a response from line6 http://line6.com/company/contact/
  12. It reliably works when a bad tone is the issue... there could be other reasons why it would exhibit this behavior.
  13. ASIO requires 1 hardware... if you're trying to use more than one hardware interface.. you're going to have mixed results... and as a result mixed quality... not worth doing... get you a condenser and one of these: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/art-tube-mp-studio-mic-preamp?pfm=sp
  14. the 1/4" left and right out would be ideal.. but you could connect to the headphone port. may require an adapter from your speakers... but its common. you wouldnt need to be connected to both... all sounds would come out of the x3
  15. you need this cable: http://www.fullcompass.com/product/457008.html
  16. yes that's correct... you can use headphones to test.
  17. is the output set correctly? and speakers connected to the x3?
  18. well the x3 needs to be connected via USB and the drivers installed (run monkey) then your pc should see the x3 as an option.
  19. all would be solved if you just plugged your computer speakers into the x3 and forgot all about your internal card. set x3 as default soundcard in windows, and make sure the x3 output mode is set to match studio/direct then all your computer sounds will come through the computer speakers (that are now connected to the x3)
  20. its a last resort because it's not really ASIO drivers.. they are FAKE ASIO drivers... meaning that they are a good option for your standard card that does not have real ASIO drivers... but it is a bad option for a soundcard or device that has actual ASIO drivers. real ASIO has hardware dedicated as part of the soundcard.... fake ASIO (AKA ASIO4ALL) uses software as a means of pretending it has actual hardware....
  21. look for the sound desk... that's the guy/location that's going to have the best sound...
  22. no interface has zero latency.. but it will have low\acceptable latency
