Riff works and windows 8
TheRealZap replied to geeman37's topic in RiffWorks Line 6 Edition (Legacy)
the line6 version is no longer supported nor has it been upgraded for a long time (i think it only supports xp) you can pay a few bucks and get the full version at a discount by crossgrading the license: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/Riffworks_Crossgrade or you can get the free version (T4) from the same site either option would work. -
much depends on why it stopped working.... if you plug it into a pc and launch monkey and monkey shows ESN 000000 then your security chip went bad and there is no way to recover... other than replacing it (cheaper to buy another used one) however if monkey shows an ESN with actual numbers and not just 0's you can probably reflash it and get it to work.

let me be clear... my reply was not an answer. it's the simple truth.... you don't have to like it.... noone here is saying that there wont be updates... begging for updates just to have them is silly.... there's pages and pages on ideascale of people asking for specific updates (where that belongs...) but just generically asking that the version goes up and you get a new blinky light.... silly. there most likely WILL be updates to the 500 and 500x my responses have nothing to do with that.... i just think that your expectations as a consumer are what is making you angry here... when the reality is... they can update it or not... under no obligation... truth.

if you're not happy with what a product can do when you buy it... why buy it.... sure it can be made better... always...that would be a bonus.... but you shouldn't suddenly become unhappy because it's not "made better" it's still the same product that you happily bought.... not rocket science... updates are a gift.... fixes may be a different (but noone is saying fix problem "x" here... they are saying give me "more") L6 and many other tech companies are historically generous with these updates... there will surely be updates in the future... i just dont see how that should affect your happiness with the product now.

you're way off dude. not every idea on that site is even possible... some may be in the next generation product... and they 100% do read and use those ideas... you got what you paid for... anything else is purely bonus... if/when it happens.. no reason to be upset....

the older non mk2 is long discontinued... the main difference is a usb connection.. the mk2 will have that. and yes you can control more than just presets.

POD HD500x cd/mp3 input issues on L2m
TheRealZap replied to bluekim's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
if you're trying to get a stereo in... just ignore all the input mess and add an effects loop to an empty (or populated as you please) tone... and go into the effects return... it is TRS stereo.- 6 replies

Relax, they are working on an updating the software... noone said that they were not going to address the issue.
-
nowhere was there even a hint of PC/Mac link... if that's what you're waiting for... prepare to continue waiting... the android hint has been acknowledged officially and should be "soon"
-
the error you're getting was common when people tried to install the older version in the Yosemite beta... so was just a guess... not sure what's going on there then.
-
you have an older version of monkey... you need the latest.... i installed the latest though... and it won't launch. i'm certain there will be a new latest shortly. :)

that's just a list of the models they've tested... pretty much like saying that a windows program will only work on dell computers... it's highly likely that the release will work on many models not listed.... looks like 4.2+ is nearly a sure thing as long as the device has bluetooth and wifi... anything earlier we'd need to wait and see.

supported is the line6 EX1 period. however 3rd party companies license and support as well meaning mission engineering... anything else and you're on your own... they either work or they don't.... no calibration.

Updates for Mac OS X 10.10 'Yosemite'? Drivers, HD500XEdit, Monkey?

no change after doing this. -
you can't calibrate expression pedal 2, you are either using one of the supported ones... or you're not...

i knew by the model it wasn't new... but it came from the factory with the better resolution: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/specs/imac-core-i5-2.7-27-inch-aluminum-mid-2011-thunderbolt-specs.html maybe they refurbed in a lesser screen (which would be a huge disappointment, or perhaps they list the specs wrong...)

check check and double check the drivers available and software compatibility for the operating system... you don't say which version of osx is on it.. and some software will require a paid upgrade for certain versions etc.. 27" modern imacs should have a display resolution of 2560x1440 seems odd that yours says 1920x1080

same thing happens to me... no messages... it is running just no show... you can force quit it... it bounces like its going to show and doesn't.... i'm sure they will be releasing a fix soon. -
The amp models are notably better. Give it a try to see if it's worth it for you.
