you can't use USB anything as far as speakers or headphones... you need to plug regular speakers/headphones into the device... and set the device as your default soundcard... and then all of the computer and guitar sounds will come from the same headphones/speakers.

There is likely a ribbon connector loose internally... just a guess... since it's affecting mutliple switches.... feel free to chuck it in my trash if you want neighbor! it does ultimately end up in the force quit window as "not responding" but icon stops bouncing and it never opens. dock icon wont even start bouncing again or attempt to launch until you force quit and start the cycle over...

you have to buy a FBV shortboard.

just go to the power amp in on the front... none of the controls on your amp will work... you'll be controlling your tone entirely from the pod.

i would download the drivers, pod farm, and license manager independently from the downloads link and try those.... that error sounds like it's an operating system or network issue.... i'm merely suggesting a possible way around the issue... no clue how to fix it.

the pedal isn't necessarily programmed to do anything out of the box.... that and it may need calibrated if you've updated the firmware.

i believe we were discussing a genuine made in japan fender strat. not a clone.

just search for it in the app store on the ipad... thats the only way.

I have a japanese strat.. and yes they are better than Mexican made.... not really better than USA... although not far inferior either... but the pickups are never cited as a strength for a MIJ strat... rarely cited as an issue either... but the wax potting on mine had deteriorated and required them to be potted again... in the interest of keeping it original... although i did consider an upgrade.

there is no variax out... only variax in... and not worth risking because both the variax and FBV port have power... and would surely damage something if you plugged them together.

on the pod hd... function 1 and 2 will engage the looper, or switch setlists.... nothing major really. i don't think they do anything on the bass pod versions... but if you have both why not just push the buttons?...

yeah if you have enough DSP, you can simply switch amps at the same time as you turn off the delay... which will keep the trails. (or whatever version of this fits your tune)

also might try using the deep edit parameters... specifically the master volume... if you turn that to say 9 oclock and then raise it through the channel volume etc... that helps. (or some similar approach.. i seem to recall)

none of the pods do trails on their own when changing tones... they will keep trails from the loop (as in from your dl4) if you work from within the same tone... you may be able to get something going with an hd500.... say have one switch programmed to turn off the delay and turn on a tube screamer or whatnot... it will keep trails within the same tone....

I can't say for certain... BUT... the cables can CERTAINLY make a difference.... when carrying a digital signal the cables can be less forgiving.

no supported way... although some have experimented in the past.. very risky since you risk send the connection sends power as well...

yes you have to use an apple or android tablet or phone with the amplifi software to edit the settings.
