  1. the known hardware problem is known to only affect it when used with certain hardware.... in other words.. changing your computer... can cause the problem to show itself. of course the known issue is regarding the x3 live... is yours the live model?
  2. nope.... read above... digital igloo is the a line6 product manager... and he would know!
  3. you likely need a hardware fix for your unit.... call or open a support ticket: http://line6.com/company/contact/
  4. the missing washer is odd... and unusual... the impression leads me to believe that it existed at one point... so the amp may not be as new as you were lead to believe..... having said that the thump or other noises when changing topologies is normal... as is SOME amount of hum.... if it's excessive that's not normal... and tubes can help....
  5. gearbox is legacy and won't be updated. Line6Tony stated this in another thread. It's not Yosemite, compatible.. because of whatever changed in Yosemite... some clever user will hopefully figure out a way to make it work again... but the program itself isn't going to be updated or supported.
  6. he stated earlier that gearbox is legacy and won't be updated. sorry.
  7. best to contact support: http://line6.com/company/contact/ either call or open a ticket. i don't think that updating via midi is an option.
  8. not worried about ASIO drivers with a tascam interface... surely they will have ASIO drivers! but yeah, you will need to buy the 2.x upgrade.
  9. might try tricking the download page by saying you have windows 7 and trying to install.... wont hurt... might not work... though
  10. yeah... mostly because a hacker would rather target 85% of the worlds computers.... infecting a small fraction of 15% of the market place doesn't equal the same as a small fraction of 85% of the market place... those pop-ups generate fractions of a penny each... you need lots of those to equal real money... which is their goal. apple is far from immune... just not that attractive of a target...
  11. you need to unplug the usb cable afterwards to allow it to control the amp like normal... (if you have both plugged in it should just be for updates, or spider edit....)
  12. no... will not save EQ. drive, channel vol etc.... will only save amp models and amp specific settings that you change.... anything you can dial in on the front... is not saved..... it will always use the settings of the actual knobs... nothing saved.
  13. mostly right... you might have to work out where to control the volume though... depends on the amp... some amps the master on the amp wont work... and the pod will be your only control... but you'll figure out if thats the case quickly...
  14. doesnt show what version of monkey you have... the latest will install and get past this... it works for some people... (i'm not one of them....)
  15. i wouldn't disable anything... try plugging the pod into the effects return... and then ignore everything else... craft your ton on the pod.... use the combo output mode on the pod for what would likely be the best results.... however... remember there are no rules... if you prefer the cabs turned off... do it... if you prefer a different output mode... etc etc....
  16. i wouldn't even use the 4 cable method... with the options coming from the pod it will surely sound great direct into the "return" on the effects loop.
  17. uhm... yes loads cool about license manager.. as in before that Line6 hardware was required... now we can use pod farm with ANY compliant hardware. your guitarport perhaps didnt have the plugin license... much depends on what you're other line6 hardware is... (assuming there is other...) but yes... having 2 licensed devices with different licenses for the same product can cause issues.
  18. i dunno man... the candy in the box might go stale if you wait too long :D
  19. a good middle ground is DMX cables... the are slightly lower ohms than AES/EBU but higher than analog.... MUCH cheaper! i got mine on amazon.com for cheap... they are digital cables commonly used for midi applications like lighting etc...
  20. there can be noticeable differences... or not... meaning the quality of the cable is what really determines that... you can use a regular xlr cable without issue in many cases.
  21. the script logo is an older unit.. there is minor differences with what foot pedal it will accept.

no problem... you just mean pulling out the master knob right?
  23. keep in mind its STILL a 2 channel amp.... best strategy is to put your lower gain amps on one channel and your higher gain ones on the other... because remember... it reads the tonestack and channel volume etc for all the topologies on the channel... the settings that sound killer for that fender twin... will rip yer friggin head clean off if you switch to the uber..... just get your midi connections and get one of these: http://line6.com/support/topic/124-user-created-dt-editors/ much easier than trying to midi through it yourself. :)
