  1. yes it will basically make the X3 your soundcard and any sound your computer makes will play through your monitors.
  2. as Tri suggested... you need to use a single ASIO interface... and not try to use multiple cards.
  3. plug your monitors into the usb and make sure the x3 is set to match studio direct output mode.... super simple.
  4. yeah you really need to ditch the USB mic... it's going to complicate things.
  5. the issue exists with lots of laptops.... and yes i meant power supply for the mac... better shielded and better grounded etc... the UX is picking up noise generated from your power.
  6. they do post.... rarely... and they NEVER post about what they are working on.... so threads like this are always just other users speculating... they will not give you an answer here... having said all that... i'm positive that they are not done with stagescape etc... surely more to come... and they would probably tell you as much... but nothing specific.
  7. it's clearly picking up noise from your computers power supply. not much you can do other than trying to get a better power supply or possibly a small UPS
  8. go to the device manager and right click the ? that's installed and uninstall\remove\delete (not sure which...) then reboot and try to install again.
  9. you might also try a slightly older version of the driver package: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=5577 the driver packages have been mostly updated for newer products and the DI-G/UX2 drivers have likely not been changed much at all.
  10. the ? means it can't read what version the firmware is... the dash appears in place of the version number... all happens because the driver is not installed (which we knew...) the driver signing thing was a longshot, but one that could have easily been missed. have you tried unplugging both devices and run the standalone driver package from here: http://line6.com/software/ with nothing plugged in? try with 1 device if that doesn't work (in a different usb port than it was originally...)
  11. I think you should save your money. :) there are plenty of other reasons to get an interface though... more inputs for example. I use another interface (UAD Apollo)... but for simple dry tracking i think you're setup should be satisfactory as is.
  12. might be driver signature enforcement... you try something like this: http://www.repairwin.com/disable-driver-signature-install-any-unsigned-driver-or-program/
  13. there wouldn't be any real benefit unless your other interface also has a SPDIF input so you could record wet and dry at the same time. IMO
  14. I would open a support ticket and let line6 advise you directly: http://line6.com/company/contact/ I'm certain that they would have given the repair center the part information. you can also call them...
  15. Only idea i had. i would call support or setup a support ticket. http://line6.com/company/contact/
  16. try a hard boot on the ipad... hold down power and home button until it reboots.
  17. yes, but you will need to request the firmware from support via support ticket.
  18. that's not what you said in your initial post... perhaps the edit software is wrong, have you verified what is actually on the knobs? i don't have an 89, but could be a bug.

    USB port

Not for me to say... I'm sure it will be officially announced, along with other exciting AmpliFi news when things are ready.
  20. Your amp is adding color to your sound that is not being recorded. You should either mic the amp, or use an FRFR solution such as studio monitors. a couple of quick observations... hopefully you get a few more ideas from other users as well.
  21. I had a similar problem. May not be the same... but my interface would lose sync when i opened Garageband or Logic because the project had a specific setting specified. If you lose sync when opening your DAW or other software you may double check there. as i said though... my issue might have been completely unrelated to yours.... just an idea.
  22. It needs the above referenced cable as well as updated to iOS7
