  1. If you seriously have this issue, I'd encourage you to call them and speak to support, they can help you. The issue clearly can and has happened. They are aware of it, and they can do things to help you. (perhaps even outside of the warranty length) I'd suggest that Sheaky specifically call the support number and ask to speak to the supervisor. since you had talked to support previously, they should have your history. All i was saying previously is that it is not a constant or recall level occurrence.
  2. only thing i can think of is possibly an issue with the port on the XT internally, since you tested cables and other pedals.. the problem is most certainly the XT... but what i don't know.
  3. I'm out of ideas, have you contacted L6 support? http://line6.com/company/contact/ might open a ticket or give them a call.
  4. that may be normal. i can't recall... i haven't had the stock models loaded for quite some time. but in low volume mode you are adding back the power amp modeling.... in regular mode, you might need to turn up the master or channel volume depending on the model. if you ignore the difference between low volume and regular mode, can you dial in an amp worthy volume?
  5. the answer is No. the x3 midi out is fixed and cannot be changed... you'd need a device in the middle to convert the x3 midi output to something your amp could use.
  6. I would try using the customizer. if you get the same result.
  7. I don't have the issue. could be bad defaults. had you loaded up one of the dt customizer programs and changed it around or reset the defaults?
  8. that works with preamp tubes.... maybe he gets lucky.... or likes the difference with cold/hot tubes... i personally wouldn't do this, or recommend that you do.
  9. if you dont use a pd, then there's WAY more reason to do the update.... becomes a complete amp factory... you can customize all the topologies and other amp setting to anything the pod offers.... as well as make combinations of amps not possible on the pod.
  10. from my understanding, previous acquisitions by Yamaha have been very smooth. time will tell.
  11. highly doubtful you'll see any updates for the spider amps that currently exist... wouldn't be terribly surprised if there is a new spider in the works somewhere.... don't think spiders are dead... but given the age of the current models, i think feature enhancements are unlikely. (purely my opinion AKA speculation.. i'm not "in the know" on the matter) Line6 is still run independently, they are just owned by yamaha. don't think you'll see many drastic changes... companies rarely buy companies that are poorly run or have little to offer.... just saying... Yamaha likely saw something they liked.
  12. that's called the longboard. what are you plugging it into? (that makes more difference than what board you are using)
  13. oh wow you've doubled my estimate... it surely must be a massive conspiracy by line6 to deploy defective usb ports throughout the universe. i'm sure that none of them happened because of someone stepping on a cable or something... surely not a single one. it's perfectly fine to be unhappy because it happened to you.... but to project it out into the world as some sort of epidemic issue is flat wrong. have you tried contacting them... pickup the phone... there may have been a problem batch and they may be willing to help you. to my knowledge that's not the case, i'm merely pointing out that the issue isn't as widespread as you would have the world believe.
  14. your presets should still be there, the setlists names may have changed though (back to the default names)
  15. Kind of... but still worthwhile as there are some fixes to the amp model defaults and some L6LINK enhancements.
  16. yeah its so common you saw less than 10 posted in an internet forum dedicated to problems. of the 10,000+ they've probably sold.
  17. yeah because dead guys log onto the forum and tell you they are dead. for real dude? that gripe has no business in this thread.
  18. not a shock to me at all... the lower resolution amp models work on slower, cheaper processors. they put those whole things together with decent speakers and bluetooth functionality.... they were clearly targeting the bedroom player or a practice\jam along scenario. neither of which are areas where people want to spend a great deal of money. the HD500x is still 500$ add the speaker and bluetooth etc, and they'd have to sell them for like 800$ the amplifi with the X-series models offer a great value at an affordable price. and no... that's not marketing or Line6 propaganda speaking.... that is my honest opinion. I don't own one... doesn't seem like something i need or want... but i can see the value in it.
  19. yes the HD is the latest and greatest.... and has superior modeling sounds. he was merely expressing his preference.

  21. Right-click on a file, folder, or files you want to zip Select “Compress Items†Find the newly created .zip archive in the same directory
  22. no, never included... always an additional purchase.
  23. thats NOT a "VDI cable"... its only for use with the workbench interface... not supposed to be useful for anything else! a real VDI cable has both metal ends.
  24. if you buy pod farm STANDARD, it will work with your model packs.... just saying... no need for you to buy platinum.... you can buy pod farm standard and ANY interface of your choosing... Line6 or otherwise.
