  1. No need to shout! This has previously been discussed at great length - see the reply from “Camelot_One” for the fix. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  2. Not possible - add another cab block and mic! One of my biggest gripes with Helix. Why not - ye gods - it is possible with AmpliTube!
  3. Don’t get confused! They maybe part of YGG, but there are not as many employees at Line 6 as you may think. If you really need to get the attention of anyone who works for Line 6 try posting on TGP, or the many groups on FarceBurk.
  4. It is now, but that post was made in 2016.

That could be a very long wait. Quote from Digital Igloo, over on TGP - There will be no "Helix 2." That followed on from his comment regarding firmware updates. ”Well, we didn't spend all that time and energy building Helix Core just to extend the family's life by two or three updates.”
  6. Line 6 have said previously that the channel switching function cannot be guaranteed to work with every model of amp - too many variables I guess. Let's hope a new TRS cable does the job, or you will have to use the one that Orange recommend for the amp. Technology, eh?
  7. It might be due what system your amp uses for switching - some use a method of shorting, others can be more complex. Check this video and see if it assists. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  8. Windows 10? Click on the "?" next to the “My Account” button in the lower left hand corner. This should also bring up the Preferences and you can see your HX Edit version number there. Not sure if there is an "About" menu button (Mac User). Mac OS. Click on the “About” option in the menu bar.
  9. I mentioned it because you gave two different versions in your post. You stated 3.10 and 3.11 Please check to ensure that they are identical. The date of purchase is not relevant - it is common for new units to ship with older firmware installed. If they do not match - you will have issues. Plus when changing any HX software on your computer, or firmware on the unit always make backups and have a “fail safe” copy of all your stuff.
  10. The Firmware and HX Edit should both be on the same revision number - that is currently version 3.11 If they are not the same you will have problems. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  11. Mmm… well that’s not quite true is it? Many people are using HX Native on a daily basis without any issues. Me, for example, and also a long time Mac user (right back to the Mac Plus). I rather think that the crux of this situation is brought about by the changes made to the OS by Apple, although many people are using HXN with Big Sur. Furthermore, what exactly do you mean by “That doesn’t tell you ALL the places. For example, the library files etc.”? Go to > Library > Audio Plug-ins and ditch all the ones you don’t require, i.e. inside the folders named Components, VST2, VST3 and AAX. It’s not complicated.
  12. Hi, Knowledge Base > Recording > Helix Native Best thing for you to do is read the Helix Native Pilot's Guide and on page 6 you will find the detailed info you require, under the heading "Removing Helix Native". http://uk.line6.com/support/manuals/helix-native/ Good luck. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  13. Interesting first post - you quoted a post from almost 2 years back and ask, “You still selling?” The post which directly followed that one was also from “Jetpilot00”, who simply stated “Sold“. Don’t expect a reply from him, as he hasn’t visited here since December 2019. You could try asking “HelixNeylon13” - the post above yours - he is asking $200 Hope this helps/makes sense.
  14. Hi, It’s not meant to be “passive aggressive” - it’s reality - the truth is out there. Hope you get it fixed.
  15. Really? Are you serious? Start here! Then find a witch doctor or someone who understands the voodoo involved with USB, or click on question mark in the black dot in the lower right hand corner of this page and follow the link named “USB Connection Issues” under the Common Product FAQ heading. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  16. Yeah, I thought I had seen him over there. That could be a long wait - SOOOOOOOOOOOON!
  17. Most of which would probably have been posted by “spikey”, who had a thing about the tuner. He hasn’t posted here for quite some time - last visit back in March. Guess he has gone over to the dark side now, IIRC he did mention getting on the list for the Neural QC. I did point out that I wasn’t sure if that had a tuner in the editor ;-) link: https://line6.com/support/topic/59600-quad-cortex-and-hx-effects/?tab=comments#comment-371078
  18. Hi Gerald, Oh, dear - There was a major change to the Core Operating System within the whole range of Helix products at firmware v.2.8. Although, you can theoretically update straight to 3.11, it is possible that you have encountered a glitch which has screwed up the update. Generally I would advise that you update to v.2.8 first and then proceed to v.3.11 Here is a link to the release notes: First try this to re-flash the firmware, plus also you need to ensure that both your firmware and HX Edit are on the same version number. That’s something that could be overlooked. Any reference in the instructions that mentions -ALL OS- “, referes to your Mac OS and also “Helix” means your Helix LT. Good luck.
  19. Hi, Okay - go here and follow the instructions given, to the letter, unless you are using a Mac, where you should select your Mac OS from the “- ALL OS -“ option. The other instructions are essentially common.
  20. Hi, Not my thing, but I suffered with the wind over the years. :-) No seriously, this should be painless and simple, in fact there is a contributor on here that actually uses a Helix with a Bassoon! IIRC, there are also a couple of Sax players using this stuff. Hopefully, one should chime in to point you down the right path. If not, just go for it, there’s not much you could harm. Hope this helps/makes sense. LATE EDIT: Found this link:
  21. I keep saying that I will stop doing this, but here we go - one more time. Firstly go to the "DOWNLOADS" menu at the top of this page and from "-ALL HARDWARE-" select HELIX then go to the "-ALL SOFTWARE-" menu item and select HX EDIT, now select your Windows OS from under the "-ALL OS-" tab, the click “GO”. From the next page you can select HX Edit 3.11 for your HELIX. Then you will also need the Firmware 3.11.0 Flash Memory. On this page you will find the Line 6 Updater version 1.23 - you will need this too. Download all these items to your computer and note where they are. Then: Remove all the previously installed Line 6 software from your computer especially the Windows drivers and then restart your computer. Now run the HX Edit installer, this should now install the latest drivers for your system. Quit the installer and restart your computer once more. Make sure to turn off the power to your HELIX. Unplug the USB cable from the computer and HELIX. Disconnect your computer from the internet and ensure that no other audio functions, or background applications are running. In fact do not have anything running that may interfere with the installation process - do not allow your PC to enter sleep mode. Ensure that HX Edit is definitely closed and that you have your HELIX reconnected to your PC by USB cable (do not use a hub, some front USB ports on PCs act like a hub) and hold down “FS6 & FS12” while turning the power on. This will put your HELIX into Safe Boot Mode ready to reflash the firmware - You may see a black screen on your hardware, but keep going. Now, launch the Line 6 Updater Utility and select "Offline Mode". Your HELIX and the current firmware version should now show up in the window, click on the dark green coloured band and you should now have the option to select a local file - point it at the Flash Memory file you downloaded and let it get on with the update. When it concludes you need to perform a Factory Reset. When it completes you can install the new HX Edit v.3.11 software and you should be good to go. Here’s a list of reset options for the unit. Reset Options Helix Floor/LT Button Combination Description 2 LED light Fun 3 & 4 Test Mode 5 & 6 Global reset 7 & 8 Reset setlists to factory, Keep IRs 8 & 9 Reset setlists to factory, Clear IRs 9 & 10 Reset setlists to factory, Global reset, Clear IRs 10 & 11 Upgrades existing presets to latest format 11 & 12 Clear current preset 5 & 12 Clear setlists, clear IRs, Return system settings to default 6 & 12 Safe boot mode To use Reset Options: Power off the Helix Hold the desired button combination Power on the Helix Release the button combination Please note: Buttons are numbered from top left to bottom right. No guarantees are given or implied, you do this at your own risk. If it doesn’t work, raise a ticket with Customer Support. Hope this helps/makes sense
  22. Hi, Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but forum user Malhavok (Ben Vesco) created this quite a while back, check it out. http://www.benvesco.com/blog/vescos-helix-patch-sorter/ Hope this helps/makes sense.
  23. He appears to be very well informed about the cheese grater thing - could be a case of practice makes perfect!
  24. Oh, no - he will be back again now with another whinging complaint about trolling. For all his pi$$ing and moaning about MIDI CC needing to be referenced to the Command Centre section, he never noticed that the original response from “phil_m” specifically pointed him to the use of Command Centre as the real solution. Jeez, even if you lead people by the nose to the thing they need - they can still miss it by a mile. There are none so blind as those who will not see!
