  1. Pretty good post panaman!! Good Idea on the fix.
  2. You always have some good posts Col Forbin. I tried up-voting them but I've used up my voting rights fore the day, LOL. Thumbs up to You!!
  3. Even after years of playing/tweaking I always find more tonal possibilities. Personally I have fun doing it as I seem to learn more and more that way. Your on a Roll Pete keep Twamm'in (Tweak'in and Jamm'in) your sounds are great!! Everyone appreciates your uploads too. :) And as usual Rads has posted an image that brings a smile to my face, lol.
  4. Maybe you can give the guy who made that video a shout on youtube, he might be able to tell you if the chip needs something special after installing it.
  5. You know I didn't even think about the AMPLIFI, sounds like that would've been the way to go. Good Eye!!
  6. I just watched that clip, Hahaaa. Brings back memories man, :) radatats you make me laugh all the time with these clips and images, lol. Thanks And on the positive side for the OP, to get where you want to be, just be persistent at learning it and know when to back off and come back. If you can find someone in your area that you can learn with "one on one" so to speak would maybe be the quickest way to learn all those things you need for your concert although there's nothing like experience and time spent with a device to make a solid show. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask more questions as you work with it. RockOn!!!
  7. I've spent years and am still learning something new every time I use these things, granted I was never a sound engineer/expert, LOL.
  8. You might need a powered usb hub, someone recently had a similar problem and a powered usb hub fixed it. The usb ports on the computer must have been underpowered.
  9. I just tried to see if CustomTone edit works and it does for the HD500 patches but not my GX or UX2 patches although I can make sure I can edit them before uploading since the GearBox has the options. I didn't really realize that, lol. Thanks for getting me to check again radatats.
  10. I've been having the same problem for quite some time. I tried using IE and Mozilla and no go on the editing the tone. Thanks for sharing the tone you created Peter.
  11. Thanks Martin, Nice PDF. I was unaware about this so I should check it out when I can. :)
  12. If you have the HD500X you really don't need to access the hidden features, just plug in using the L6 Link. If you want to fool around with them you have to use something like the M-Audio MIDI Sport UNO to connect to your computer and use DT Edit to manipulate them.
  13. Yeah the tubes can get weird. My originals went making me think it was something else like a transformer but then my mechanically oriented brain said wait I better get new tubes, learn how to replace and bias them. 1st rules of mechanicism "Always go back to the Basics" then systematically eliminate things by testing, if able.
  14. LOL, Maybe I better get some for my DT50 before I need them, oh wait but if I do that I won't need them, Hahaaa.
  15. Glad I could help, Thanks for the Thanks! "Rock On" and "Blair Those Blues" :)
  16. Sorry if my explanations aren't very clear. I think you are doing correctly. The window your seeing is just asking what program to open them with, select HD500 Edit. I think you can also click "open Files" in the menu in the mienu (top left) of HD500 Edit to geth them in the set list. After you get them in there you need to elect either the patches you want or the set list and "send" them to the pod. I forget the actual number of patches it holds but it A-Lott, way more than I'll ever use, LOL. The tons of memory give me much playing room. Keep in mind "downloaded" patches may not sound very good with your rig. Some tweaking is required, usually. Welcome to Forum, Hope you have fun with your HD.
  17. Yeah that's weird, maybe it's not the knob but just the slight vibration of the knob turning that releases the view button. It's possible some sticky liquid got in there once and now it just sticks a little. Glad you got it though.
  18. I hear ya on the "hard to find". I'm finding that things I used to have an easy time finding years ago are now not so readily accessible. If you buy these things get more than one, lol. :)
  19. drag those files into HD500 Edit and/or put them in a folder in the HD500 tones folder. I usually download to the HD500 Tones folder and create a new folder there. After you get them into HD500 you need to save them them to the HD500 so they stick.
  20. Playing thru the HD500 using the computer monitors is not very good your better off using headphones from the headphones out on the HD500. I can monitor on my PC the way you are wanting too but I don't do it. If yor using a desktop take the speakers from that and plug them into the HD500 instead of the computer.
  21. I don't know about the DT25 but there is a fuse in the DT50 near the Power Tubes on the PCB.
  22. Have you tried to install the drivers manually? Go to the downloads and find the applicable software download it and install it all manually. Just a thought. Hope you get it going.
  23. I recently had a click in my monitoring and recording while using Ableton Live Lite 8 with my TonePort UX2 what I did was changed the buffer from 512 to 1024 and that cleaned it up. Concerning the hotter output since I haven't been using a volume pedal before the pod I turn my guitar volume way down and then create the patch. A volume pedal before the pod would be better or if midi controller that would control the volume pedal in the GUI.
  24. I know this thread is for a DT50 but maybe the DT25 suffers from the same thing. >>> http://line6.com/support/topic/10123-dead-dt50-repair-fun/ A diode gave out!!
  25. I seen that before too although I still had the sends in the DAW, have you opened your DAW to see if it works? Audacity doesn't apply. You may need to reinstall your DAW. Which DAW are you using?
