How do you set the DT25 and PODHD master volumes when connected together?
Brazzy replied to GazzaBloom's topic in DT50 / DT25
No, it's outside that. When I use the DT50 I set the master to about 1/4 throttle, the HD500 master I use at around 1/2 throttle. This varies though as long as your not overdriving the amp too much the digital models stay more clear when you ramp up the amplifier master. This is my very own taste and opinions will vary and of course all the other variables such as venue, etc. I always start out low and work my way up. -
DT50HD Output Suddenly Went Silent, Any Ideas Why? And More...
Brazzy replied to Brazzy's topic in DT50 / DT25
My DT50 power tubes lit up for about 15 minutes and then went out. Your saying that the tubes in yours are lit and there's no sound. Still could be a power tube though. You can easily change your 12AX7 to see if that is the cause.- 56 replies

I think overall technology has come a long way and products developed today are better than days past. I'm absolutely amazed I have a device that has a bunch of different effects in it. These are the very first guitar related devices I've ever owned. I'm having a great time playing with guitars now that I have some of Line 6's devices. All of them are working great and I've had my X3Pro since 2008 and even my UX2 is working great, I love them. Although with mass production comes some products (many) that may not make it in the long run. Overall, I'm happy.

I've had the UX2 for quite sometime and never got a footswitch for it it so I decided to make one . Since I have the basic hand tools. a drill/drills, soldering iron/related tools, light wire and quarter inch 6 ft guitar cables all I needed was 2 quarter inch mono jacks, 2 momentary switches (light duty) and a box all of which I found at Radio Shack. I added 1 more switch and jack so I can run to something else tha'll use a momentary switch. It works great and It makes the UX2 so much better. Sorry to hear your having a bad time. I wonder since I read your in ME and seems like your out there in the wilderness (I know the ME woods) that maybe your having power issues. Do you use a sort of power conditioner to insure a smoother 120v. Just was a thought 'cause I know digital equipment is sensitive to voltage drops/spikes. Hope Best of Luck to you. I agree and also with zaphodboy.

Certainly is very wierd stuff. You sure haven't been watching the Stephen King Marathon lately? LOL. seriously hope you get it resolved though. Thanks for posting the symptoms.

I would say it's probably not that difficult, although in the same breath If you're going to do it yourself you should read up on tube amps, how they operate and how to handle the insides so you do not accidentally ZAP yourself a new hair do.

Hasn't worked for me in quite some time. I tried different browsers and no luck. I think if after you save your patch to your computer and open the properties up you can add a your comments or notes there and then upload it like that.

The title of this thread alone got me laughing, LOL. You guys are too funny.

Anyone getting feedback when using blue comp treb pedal?
Brazzy replied to alphadog808's topic in POD HD
Thanks for the input stumblinman and thanks for all your help since you've been here, I usually practice using the X3 out the L mono into the Guitar input of a Spider Jam with just the clean (green) channel with the master at 10 oclock to keep the volume down and still be able to hear the model clearly. Using "direct" into the 'puter by way of USB I record most of my riffs going into Audacity with 96Khz 32 bit then mix down to m4a. This was 2001 Diamond Plate Amp, but just switching to 2003 Connor 50 and many others sounded good without tweaking. When I turn master up on the Spider Jam it really sounds "Sweet Dude", -

Brazzy replied to alphadog808's topic in POD HD
I was fooling around with the X3 Pro and tried your screamer settings, although the screamer in the X3 only has a tone control, gain and drive. I set the gain and output at your recommndations and just went through the amps and just played. Not bad. So I recorded "Oh The Drama", LOL. -
Dt 25 blowing tubes and fuses, unequal bias on matched tubes
Brazzy replied to Martijndrift's topic in DT50 / DT25
I'm not having the same exact issue as the OP, although I did what you've posted.... I switched the tubes and checked after heating them up for more than 15 minutes, same results. I replaced all the tubes with EH, the recommended tubes and still had the same results/readings. leading me to the amp is the cause of the imbalance somehow. Although, like I said the bias balance has improved a wee bit with time, it's not exact, which I think it should be pretty close to being equal on both tubes. Even on the bias check after 10 hours when the bias seemed to be closing in a bit, I tried switching the tubes and the same readings. Switching the tubes didn't help.
