  1. Good Point BB, The higher gain the amp model and the higher up you turn the the gain knob there is going to be some idle noise use a noise gate if you need to. Also if your right in front of your computer screen or any other RF emitting device your guitar is going to pick up that noise. I can get some good high gain with my Kit Tele (which is the noisiest next to my Strat) with the guitar volume at the lowest level. Then all I need to do is turn the volume knob on the geetar to get more gain. When I use my Active EMG guitars I get a nice clean signal from the guitars, those active humbuckers work. Also, try out the PAD input.
  2. There's Gremlins in that there Device!!!! I love that picture, LOL and the Gremlins movies. :) Good One!!. Also Great post BB.
  3. Sounds like what your hearing is what I would consider normal.
  4. I would imagine that the rubber that stops the plunger from hitting the button is there to keep a loud noise from happening if it gets slammed before actually making the switch. I like mine the way it is. Also it'll eventually wear in, since it's rubber were dealing with here.
  5. I use a UX2, X3Pro, HD500 into a DT50/DT25 Cab, a Spider Jam, Jet City Picovalve/JCA12S+ Cab, and even a VOX Mini3, lol. Sounds Great with all of them. Depends on what you results your trying to get for the application your using it with. I think it would it would sound great with stereo PA speakers. I use the two tube amps I have in stereo and the sound just blows me away.
  6. Hope you get a speedy fix.
  7. Cool Man, Your, Welcome & Thx !!!!!!! Scary sounds are in but only for a limited time, lol.
  8. I didn't know 'bout this adjustable pressure switch of which you speak, you're full of good info Dude. :) I agree it's a small thing, although some will be hard pressed to depress it.
  9. That's messed up. You might want to ask a Line 6 Tech.
  10. You can use Instrument & Mic 1. Instrument will be routed to sends 1 & 2, Mic 1 will be routed to sends 3 & 4.
  11. It's shame they didn't mount the switch a little closer to the fulcrum. That would've made it a bit better, IMO.
  12. You can set the volume pedal but sometimes you need to reassign it to Exp 1. Check to see which one it's assigned to first. Don't forget to save your settings change. Check out this part of the manual
  13. Can't seem to make beautiful music? Make some downright, screamingly delicious, synthasticly panning, screeching verb NOISE!!!!!!!!! What can I say I have fun with this stuff. For these all I used was a guitar, TonePort UX2, GearBox and Audacity. "Halloween Sounds"
  14. The TonePort GX will not recognize the mic part of your headset it's only for stereo listening. As far your computer you would need a port which uses a port with headset and mic combined. I'm not sure if it work the way you want it too. Probably the UX1 would be better for mixing voice and guitar.
  15. LOL, I hear Ya!!!!!!! Your idea involving the evolution of the HD300 sounds great.
  16. Well I'll Be.....lol. I just got done looking at that NAMM vid. This little device looks like the hot ticket. Thanks BB Bro. That's a big thumbs up!!! :)
  17. Is anyone using a drum machine pedal that has good variation of drums? I'm open to any and all suggestions.
  18. I have the DT50 Head & DT25 Cab and am so glad I got them. I would go for it if you you really want it. I didn't ask anyone about it I just looked around and made my own decision to get it. I also use the HD500, X3 Pro and UX2.
  19. That sounds horrible. Sounds like your clipping somewhere or everywhere in the chain. Have you tried turning things down and working up? I'm sure if I worked on that sound clip I could find a use for it, Halloweens here!!!
  20. Your Welcome. Maybe the HD500 needs the firmware reinstalled? Just a long shot. I was thinking that fuse was for the tubes but I just couldn't be sure. Hope you get sorted out.
  21. There's a little fuse in the chassis maybe it blew. I was in there looking for it when I actually had a power tube problem.
  22. That's right, the one with the microphone section.
  23. I think it's kind of normal what your experiencing. You need to pull it out a little so the tip makes contact with the part that locks the plug in. Over time this locking part which is a spring steel gets loose and doesn't positively lock the tip as it should. pulling the plug out a bit makes the contact. I've had to take things apart before to bend the tip contact so that it locks the plug in better only to find out the spring steel is bad quality. Your not going to be able to mess with the 1/8 part very easily.
