  1. Check this out >>> http://forums.guitarnoise.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=5719 You can get bleedover in many ways. It could simply be just your headphones cable acting as the receiving antenna. Sometime being a sound guy isn't very easy. Good Luck
  2. 1 time for the HD 500 it was a case of having to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and software and for the UX2 the same thing once and another time it was a matter of increasing the buffer in Ableton from 512 to 1024. I think the 1 time with the HD I was tweaking using HD 500 Edit a little too fast and must have corrupted something. I also remember 1 time I had to reinstall firmware too. Most like likely cause I was tweaking the knobs too fast. Lol. All in all I've had a great time with it.
  3. i Thanks, hope you get cleared up. I had noise like that before although I was using the HD 500 via usb recording.
  4. The Devil on left shoulder says "Come on dude what the heck ya wait'in for, you could die tomorrow" The Angel on the right shoulder says "Be a good boy now or you won't appreciate it" LOL
  5. Yeah that's a weird noise. Have both the pod and amp been updated? Have you tried it with a different guitar like say a single coil strat?
  6. I've noticed that when assigning the guitar input to be recorded with the spider jams recorder the aux input's effects & tone stack are disabled. Like radatats said, read the manual when you get chance to freshen up on it's controls. Routing a Pods output to the cd/mp3 port on the pod sounds good, although I've run it into the guitar input using the clean green model, turning off all effects with the tone stack straight up and recorded with good results as well as the aux with good results. Depends on what your looking for.

You may already know this. Thought I would suggest that whenever you want to go into the guitar input of the Spider Jam with say an EQ, Pod, or other you may want to use the "Clean Green" channel with the Drive, Bass, Mid, Treb at the 12 O'clock positions to start. Although there is nothing set in stone here.
  8. That's a good line for sure, first thought when I heard it was "Can ya Schmell it?" LOL
  9. Cool Dude! Funny that just the other day I mentioned the "Crooked Man Walked a Crooked Mile", LOL
  10. Oh the Controversial subject of Amp and Cab and Cabs and Amps, lol. You can get them to sound good you just need to be willing to get it all tuned in. Just heads a up though, IMO Speaker cabs are particular to environment/venue which is why there are so many different kinds.
  11. Not sure what "lollipops" is but it sounds good, lol. I have about as much support as a three legged chair can provide

  14. Why not open it??!! Your unopened box of a nice noise maker inspired me to make "Why" .
  15. OOOOOOLALA!! I cant' believe you took a picture of an unopened box that has an AMPLIFI in it, lol. What ya wait'in for? It ain't gett'in any fresher. :) Hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas. Ups, hope that was PC.

Sounds like you've had experience with quite few noise makers indeed ;). I still may get that MXR10 someday, lol. That 12ax7 pedal you see there is Persuader from ModKitsDIY. I put that together along with the Persuader Deluxe and the Piledriver. Had fun building them plus they do sound good :).

I really like the Spider Jam too. Took me while to get to know how to use it and I'm still learning but that's kind why I bought it in the first place, lol. As far as the EQ is concerned, sure why not put between the guitar and amp. When I use the HD500 with it that's basically what I'm doing 'cause I look at the Pod as a kind of Very Elaborate EQ. I was thinking about getting the MXL EQ a long time ago but I just held off 'cause I thought I should take time and really use the Pod first. I too jump around from the Spider Jam to the DT to the DT with the Pod to the Spider Jam and Pod to the UX2 and Computer to the X3 Pro and Spider Jam and on and on...... LOL. It's fun for me what can I say :)
  19. If you want to monitor with speakers you'll need powered monitors or a guitar amp. If your just going to use it to record with USB to a computer you'll need ear phones.
  20. AES/EBU XLR also has the benefit of better shielding. Basically your paying for a better cable all around, but one doesn't really need it unless issues start to surface due to the environment or venue.
  21. Sounds good to me though, Thanks Personally I think it's not that critical for most people that use a DT amp with the L6 to link a Pod.
  22. I've used a 5 ft Hosa XLR AES/EBU and a 20 ft XLR Monster cable with no problems although not in a band or gig. You may run into problems with RF infiltration using a cable less than AES/EBU standards.
  23. Here's a good PDF of explaining speaker matching. http://mesaboogie.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Speaker-Impedance-Matching-and-Hookup.pdf
  24. No Problem. I just saw the other thread LOL, Glad you got it going!!! :D No one is exempt from theses sorts of problems.
