  1. If nothing works give Line 6 a shout you should be able to get it work. Which OS are you using? If windows maybe make sure your in Admin mode, not sure if that's the problem though.
  2. I had to listen to it with my phone and it still sounded great. Good Play Pete!!! Thanks for sharing, now where's that patch??? lol :)
  3. I think you need a load on the head anytime you turn it on, I always do.

    Sd Card

Have you tried formatting the card to fat32 with your computer? If that doesn't help I'm not sure what will. Maybe you should contact Line 6 either by support ticket or phone call. See what they say.
  5. Almost forgot, lighter attack of the strings can get ya cleaner tones along with how you hold your pick if your using one.
  6. I find I need to have my guitar volume at it's lowest position in most cases in order to get clean tones that are loud, then it depends on the amp model your using. When I build a patch I start with the guitar volume at it lowest position so I can just turn it up to get crunch and open it up to get alot of dirt.
  7. :), It wouldn't hurt for you to ask if you can try it out first, even connect it to your computer if possible, just to see if works. As a heads up check the condition of the USB Port.
  8. A lot of people use studio direct to the guitar input of an amp. I do it with a Spider Jam and other amps. Heck, I take my UX2 analog out and run that into them as well.
  9. I just had the same problem with a TonePort UX2 and GX. I had to open Monkey and select the device I wanted to connect to even though it didn't connect. Then sign in if it wasn't already. I selected the driver and clicked update. That took me to the website to download the driver which I had to open and run. After it was done installing I restarted my Win 7 laptop and once it restarted I plugged in the USB and opened Monkey again to get Pod Farm installed. Hope it helps.
  10. I don't think you need to reregister it in order to get updates as per other threads I read. If it's already been registered the owner needs to unregister it in order for you to register it to your account.
  11. Try setting it, then move the pedal, then save it.
  12. Cool, Tip: If the tip comes loose, as they do after initial use, you'll need to tighten it good. When the tip becomes loose the heat will not transfer correctly which will throw you off. The one shown in the picture of my last post needed to be tightened up real good and after the first time I never needed to tighten it again. Also keep a damp sponge handy so you can keep the tip clean.
  13. You can use a pencil tip. That's what I use on almost everything except pieces of metal larger than the back of a pot. I used to use giant soldering irons that would be brought up to temp with an oxy/acetylene torch for soldering things like radiator tanks and auto body parts. These little soldering irons feel like toys, lol. Your solder sounds good.I know there's a specific ratio of tin to lead but most available are the correct ratio. The chisel tip could work also if it's not too large. The main purpose of the tip it to be able to get the flat part of the tip flat against the material for better heat transfer, but for the small things we're talking about here it doesn't take much to get up to temp. Use only enough heat to get the solder flowing nicely around all parts then get out of there. I should add that if you feel uncomfortable when get ready to actually take it out and put it in just back off and come back to it and do this as many times as you need to till its done. Sometimes you just have to work like this when working on fine things and when the environment your in is prone to distractions.
  14. You can do it, just put your mind to it, focus and before you know it you're DONE. I used to solder microchips with a regular iron years ago it's all feel, kinda like playing the guitar.
  15. Just had a another clicking problem recording with Ableton 8, Ahhhhhh, but I knew I had to increase my buffer from 512 to 1024. So I recorded "Play'in Electric Guitar in the Library" LOL.
  16. My X3 Pro headphone Jack does the crackle fizzle out thing when I use 600 Ohm headphones but is good when I use 36 ohm headphones. Have you tried a set of 36 ohm headphones.
  17. That's a big thumbs up "Good Buddy" 10-4 with "4 on the Floor"!!!!!!!! I remember ones that has had so much RF you didn't need an amplifier to hear it, LOL.
  18. Hey Triryche, I should have metioned there was other noise along with that clicking but the clicking was the most prominent noise. I never used the guitar in front of one those CRT monitors but there's plenty of other things available to mess with our sound, LOL.
  19. In the Library?, lol Not a bad idea, thanks for the idea :).
  20. Hope it works for you. I use it all the time at home. The 1/8 to 1/8 male stereo cable is pretty common.
  21. As phil_m mentioned. Why can't you just plug the iPad 1/8 out into the 1/8 mp3 in on the Pod? The iPad sound would then be unaffected.
  22. Wanted to have some fun and play some guitar thru my TonePort UX2 and while I was making a hi gain tone I hear this steady clicking noise. Took me a minute to figure out it was a laptop power supply (not mine) that was located about 2 feet from my guitar. This particular PSU has some awful RF. So out of curiosity I took my laptop PSU which is also 2 feet away from my guitar and put it closer to my pickups and wow this sucker is quiet compared to the other one, must be higher quality. Hope this helps someone who has a similar problem. Oh. I had to put that clicky PSU 3 feet away from my geetar. :)
  23. Nice to know. thanks for sharing your success story. Do you have a picture handy of the relay and diode in the chassis? Would be nice in case I run into it, LOL.
