  1. Just to clarify, the orignal tubes that shipped with it "I think" lasted me apprx. 100 hours, then I started having wierd noise issues and finally no sound at all. After that it would work normal for about 10-20 miutes at that point there was no sound and the power tubes were out and cooling down. That's when I geared up for the power tube service. I'm still using the recommended replacement tubes. No fuses in the amp were blown. As far as tubes lasting only a few hours? I would say it's possible to get tubes that aren't quite mnufactured correctly. As others have mentioned tubes can be a hit or miss kind of thing. I'm sticking with Original Equipment tubes for now.
  2. I had a similar issue with trying to get micro matched tubes balanced in the bias area. I started out with 36 and 32 on my DT50 and after rechecking it after approx. 10 hours of use I had 36 and 34. Seems like they are closing in. Don't know why it's like that, I can only think that the amp's design is in play here. Meanwhile I have more than 20 hours on it and have yet to recheck the bias to see where it stands. Did I mention it still sounds great and everything works fine. I've had this amp for about 10 months and have approx 120 hours on it currently and this is it's first set of replacement tubes. You can check out this thread I created when for the first time I expereienced tube failure >>> http://line6.com/support/topic/6699-dt50-head-output-just-went-silent-any-ideas-why/?p=61241
  3. After reading this thread I still like my HD500, X3 Pro and UX2. For a 36 yr ol guy who never had a guitar, amp or stomp boxes it made learning guitar fun. Darn near everyday I use them all and they still look and sound great, although I don't get rough with them and they rarely get moved alot. I've never seen the axe but the OP along with others here seemed to make alot of sense to me. Carry On & Rock On!
  4. You can use it either way. Usually I don't use the pad. If you have high impedance pick ups on your guitar or use a stomp box in front you might find yourself using it.
  5. Hey thanks alot on the usage rundown. I did the power tube replacement after my DT went silent after making some wierd sounds. A little time reading and buying tubes and a tool. It's not hard and after the first time I askew myself why was I worried, lol. Knowledge is key.
  6. Good to hear you have a backup amp. I suppose your out of waranty on the broken DT. Just out of curiosity have you ever put tubes in it yourself and approx how much playing time do have on the current tubes? Whatever you do I wish the best. Thanks for the update.
  7. Same here, you gotta love the convenience of having it at your finger tips. I still use HD edit but I'm just as fluent with the pod itself after consistent use. Always still learning something though. I'm gonna try out your setting later. Thanks :)
  8. I know it's early but I was wondering if you found out anything?

    SD Card

Some of the new SD cards are a higher class rating, which class is the card your using now? I use a 1gb class 2 SanDisk SD in my Spider Jam which I think is similar to your device. I think the card with no class is the safer bet, >>> http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SD2GB-2GB-SD-Card/dp/B000YH5FOK/ref=pd_sim_e_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0C2YHW0NPEGPPZEFAYGH Haha...no class....go figure,
  10. Time to call Line 6 or do a support ticket to try and get to the bottom of it. Maybe this is what it does when a fuse is burnt.
  11. Right On jarokka, Hope your amp spews music when your done. :)
  12. What's up Line 6 Brother Zap, I often edit posts to clarify what I'm trying to convey, I almost never get it right the very first time, lol.
  13. Hi Jarokka, Sounds like you fixed it. So the reflash worked but the reset didn't?
  14. I don't know why it's doing that. I haven't had this behavior with my DT50 Head but if I did I would do a reset. If that didn't work I would reflash the firmware. You didn't mention if you have say an HD500 connected via L6 link. So I'm guessing it's the DT doing it on it's own. Check this Picture>>>
  15. I remember walking through the crowd at a concert once and the music sounded great in one area and like total garbage in another. I suppose it's never really perfect in the whole venue. Probably the best place for a listener at a concert is somewhere in the front middle or closer to the front middle.
  16. Looks like you can use 2, 8 ohm cabs or 2, 16 ohm cabs. Glad I could help some. I did a 16 ohm cab and an 8 ohm cab, in parallel, and went into the 4 ohm out jack. Sounded pretty good to me.
  17. You can run 2 cabs. Check out the manual >>> http://line6.com/data/6/0a06434d8eea507efb30bdbdd/application/pdf/DT50%20Quick%20Start%20Guide%20-%20English%20%28%20Rev%20D%20%29.pdf
  18. Open a support ticket or call Line 6 and tell them what kind of brick wall your running into. As for the DT50 I recently had to put power tubes in it, did it myself.
  19. I'm really not sure but I don't think it'll work.
  20. If you want to use a dual patch you're going to have to plug into the front or go into the DT's power amp. I do this sometimes and get good results. I think since there's so many options switching patches with the Pod you don't need channel B. What I do sometimes is set up the Jet City Picovalve half stack and the DT50 half stack as a stereo system using Stack Combo Amp and/or Studio Direct.
  21. You may try to uninstall and reinstall the driver for your computers video card. If it's windows you can find it in the device manager. I've had to do this several times with this laptop (Sony Vaio AR630E). When I do it I just uninstall it and then in order to reinstall it I must restart the computer, when that happens windows update will look for the software and reinstall it. You can always find more info about your particular computer online if you search for the original drivers.
  22. If somehow the card becomes corrupt or even the firmware your bound to have a malfunctioning digital piece of dookie.
  23. You may need to reflash the firmware. Oh wait make sure you try to format your 1 or 2gb SD card with the Spider Jam first to see if that fixes it.
  24. Quite a bit of time went by before I adjusted mine, LOL.
