Ahhhh Yes Master! Hahaaaa I loved Kung Fu especially when he had to move that hot caldron by lifting it with his forearms and ended up with the permanent burnt in tattoos.
-
So true, if it sounds good it is good doesn't matter how you get there.
-
It's been so long since I used the UX2 like that I actually forgot. Lol. Way to go BigChase52!!
-
You may need to use Pod Farm 1 so you can set up a dual path patch, one for your guitar and the other for the mic.
-
There is an instrument and mic option in the inputs like BillBee said.

I should have mentioned I'm all for trying any combination available 'cause ya just never know when you'll get a pleasant surprise. I did try the full amp models with my DT50 going into the front, that was just at home and at a modest volume, I didn't dislike it. I switched back to the pre amp models using the L6 link 'cause they didn't seem to need much tweaking at the same level. Of course, if you amp it up you'll hear things you didn't at lower volumes which should go without saying. Give it try when you have time at those gig volumes you might be surprised.
-
I think it was deigned to use the pre amp models in this situation.
-
I agree, phil_m that this fizziness doesn't equate to any real problems and there is plenty of good music out there that supports that. It doesn't bother me the slightest as there is plenty of sonic adjustments available in these devices.
-
I think it's a high gain thing mostly. If your playing a Strat with single coils it doesn't help unless your using those two positions that are noise canceled. High gain amps have some noise floor (fizz) associated with them normally so the amp models won't be any different.
-
The Resonance turned to 0 does make a big differance.

Was just playing around with the T 75 Cab sim and it seems it's buzziness depends greatly on the Amp Model you use. Noise Gate was not on and I tried the Bomber with the drive at 0, turned the tone stack and presence down some too, added a mild red comp and it was still buzzy like. Switched to the Tweed Bassman leaving everything else the same and it was way less buzzy. I ran the Cab sim with the 57 on axis right up to the speaker. Tweed Bassman Patch Bomber Patch

Don't forget to try a mod of some sort in case that patch doesn't do it. I remember when I was trying for that sound I was changeing settings in hurry (burn'in the plastic feet off the mouse) 'cause I was running out time, lol. Have Fun and good luck. Thanks for the link it now sparked a good memory of my very early childhood :)

I have my own idea of this using the saying "There's no replacement for displacement" this pertains to amps in a very similar way. Meaning that if you want clean go with an amp designed for clean and if you want dirt go with an amp designed for dirt. Athough I've been able to get some clean tones from high gain amp models and other times not in a couple cases I was able to Gate & /or EQ the fizz out, if it was actually the fizz, lol. :)

I'm glad you got your J-Station (I'm unfamiliar with) working again. I love it when I get an old device working again, it's like exploring new territory sometimes. Thanks for the good comment on the "Beer Breaker", hope you got laugh from it!!.I did that the very last minute, lol. I actually uploaded that into the RiffWorld RiffRumble24 with a few minutes to spare. If I recall correctly I used the American Classic Pre-Amp and the Q-Filter Stomp Box set to Band and shifted the frequency manually but I'm not positive I may have used a Modulator but I know I manually shifted the pitch. Here's a link to the patch I used > D-104 Microphone Pitch Shifter , also I used an X3 Pro and a UX2 to do this. I'm sure there are a few ways to get a similar result. I wish I took notes on how exactly I did that, but I saved that patch so I think it's how I did it. Thanks for the Good Karma (Right Back at Ya) and glad you took the sweaty plunge into the re-flash. I don't recall knowing the ole geezer~rat salad era now I'm going to have to try and search that out. :) Have a Great Day and have fun with your J-Station again. I looked it up and it looks like a cool little device.

Problem With Line 6 Spider Ii Chorus Effect
Brazzy replied to edruiz94's topic in Spider I / II / III
If you play with it cranked the vibrations form the speaker is most likely moving the the chorus pot which engages it. If you can figure out how to tighten up the pot shaft somehow that may do the trick. Just must opinion here 'cause I don't own the particular amp you have but I have a Spider Jam and I think it's similar in this respect. -
Yeah Man Dirt Bikes and Dirt Noise the only way to fly!!

https://code.google.com/p/dtedit/ You'll need something like the M-Adio Uno if you don't have it already. http://m-audio.com/products/en_us/Uno.html

Show Us Your Dream Rig.
Brazzy replied to Django_Oconnell's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
I didn't realize that stand can hold the HD Pro like that. I've been using it for a speaker cab for a while now. Thank you very much for the image 'cause now I know I can use it to hold my X3 Pro like that if need be. -
Pod Hd Pro Dry/wet Recording Questions Before Purchase
Brazzy replied to Giordanocir's topic in POD HD
Sounds like bjnette knows Pod the is finicky and needs a specific driver such as it's own, looks like it might be a typo of sorts, 'cause I read all over these forums ASIO4ALL is no good with the Line 6 stuff. Glad someone made cleared that up though. -
HD500 with studio monitors FRFR vs dt25
Brazzy replied to ioscommuter's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
When I first started reading about the X3 Pro I remember a post about how good they sound just going into a PA from the XLR or 1/4" outs. Later there was another thread about the HD500 using it the same way, so I eventually I tried it and it sounded really good, this set up eliminated the lugging around of heavy tube amps for gigging musicians saving there backs. There is no dought in my mind that the HD500 or even the X3 Pro run into the PA via XLR is all you really need. That video jandrio posted sounds purty good and I like the Who and that song. -
Oooooh Yes I did, I too do a prayer and get ready to say by by to whichever device I reflash. Although, over the years with all the computer software work I've been doing, even some hardware work, working with the GX, UX2, X3 Pro, HD500, DT50 & Spider Jam my confidence level has increased greatly. Ya just never know though until it's successful.

So I went to turn on the drums and nothing happened. Grabbed a SanDisk SD Card in hopes that reflashing would fix it. One of those 2 GB Micro SD Cards with the adapter, which I was using to capture recording with and worked fine for that but when it came to trying to format it with the Spider Jam it didn't work didn't hurt anythng just didn't work. So I fomatted the card to FAT via computer and loaded the bin file onto the balnk card and tried to relash but no success. So went digging for the card I used years ago which was a standard 1 GB SD Card SanDisk style (Blue). Formatted via the Spider Jam with success and then loaded the bin file to that blank card. After that the reflash took about 5 minutes and with succsess. Firmware must have gotten corrupt somehow since the last time reflashed was at least 4 years ago.

I'm not sure how the echo box is going to sound going into the guitar input, like BillBee said normaly your going to use an effects loop built into the amp and the Spider Jam doesn't have that. I usually use things like distortion boxes and sometimes a modulation box into the front. For instance, I have 2 stomp boxes, I made, in line after that there's a Line 6 Otto Filter and those are routed to the guitar input. Give it a try if you have issues with the sound your getting with the echo box going into the a preamp you'll understand why it normally belongs between the preamp stage and the final amp (or power amp) stage along with some Mod, Delay, and Reverbs. When I got the Spider Jam I went with the UX2 so I could get a bunch of different effects that would sound decent going into the front of an amp 'cause it was designed for it. Finally, "if it sounds good," "it sounds good" regardless of what I said. Have Good Time and Rock On!!
