Interesting "S" although it's no surprise to me, lol. Everything is eventually gong to fit in a "tiny little package" in the future :) I remember a time when my truck was "HEAVY DUTY" and even the car was built like a tank, lol. But now I see people driving 'go Karts" on the very very dangerous roads of today, Hahaaa. I kinda agree with you "H" although since so many people are mobile the "energy" is most likely going to go into the smaller package.

Direct monitoring POD X3PRO
Brazzy replied to BloodWorkStudio's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
If it's the setting I'm thinking of it's in "Line 6 Audio MIDI Devices" settings. Just turn it all the down. I could be wrong, lol. -
LINE6 UX2 - WITH NOISE - WIN7 64BITS
Brazzy replied to pudim's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
All I can offer is use the Line 6 uninstaller and remove all related software then restart the computer and reinstall everything. -
Have you tried setting it up the way you want yet? If so what kind of results are you getting? I find most of the time I end up using guitar amps with my 5 string, lol. Yes I know you don't want to use them. Some very funky tones can be had with the pods. Good info Ed!!

UX2 Flashing Clip Lights
Brazzy replied to KanashimiNakada's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
When you say it won't install does it look like it installs and finishes succesfully, does it stall out in the middle, or doesn't even get started. I've expereince a long install once, it looked like it was stalling so I waited and it eventually finished. Also usually your going to be asked to allow this program to install at least once. Found this too: -
Oh YES!!! It works good. Don't be hesitant to try any configuration to see what ya get. More experience means more fun.

Sorry if I implied you did something like that. It was just intended as an example of what not to do. I recently got a Beat Buddy and was plugging my guitar into Line 1 and the BB into line 2 and had what I thought was pretty good sound and options. Used line 2 with no effects for the Beat Buddy recorded into Ableton with the 2 channels independently. I was actually surprised that the guitar sounded good going into the line inputs 'cause for the longest time I just used the guitar input.

Nice Photo Man!! Thanks for sharing. Hahahaaaa, Cup holder and a built in frig for the "Beverages". :)

I could see damaging it if you introduced a speaker output from a tube amp into the ux2, lol. So it sounds like it's broke eh? I recommended to someone here to try out the device if buying it used or from an untrusted source. Although this is not fool proof, making sure it at least hooks up to your computer and plays makes it a much safer buy. I hope you get good help, Thanks for the update!!

How Can I Use Inputs On Ux2 Without Pod Farm Open?
Brazzy replied to IcaroPaiva's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Hit the "Windows" button or open the start menu and then type in the search bar "Line" you should see "Line 6 midi" as an option to select. -
Sorry, I deleted that post, lol. I was trying to tell you to use the Aux in for dry but it's easier to use the CD input. If you plug into the Aux and while playing change the record select option while playing you can switch between the amp models and the Aux tone stack. Try it to hear what I'm talking about.
-
What's up Blubarb? I have to retract what I said about the AUX input. The best way to go for dry sound is the CD/mp3 jack.
-
The saved blanks is a good idea. It saves on wearing out the butons and knobs too. Recently I've been using just the pod and starting to get good at making patches as needed with minium tweaking so as not to torture the knobs and buttons much, lol. Also I hope you get that android app!!

UX2 Flashing Clip Lights
Brazzy replied to KanashimiNakada's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Have you tried starting the computer with the UX2 plugged in? More info about your computer, OS, may help a bit. Are you running the computer/PC in ADMIN mode? -
Most of us have been where your at now, saying the same things to ourselves when the light bulb over our heads lit up, lol. I'm not afraid to admit it ook me quite some time to become comfortable with it but now It comes natural.....almost, lol. :) Rock On!! PunkyBoy I wanna hear some more of that punk rock you deliver.

Sounds like you want to reset a patch to "blank" after trying an amp or other effect. Hopefully you already figured it out. All I do is select the "block" I want to change back and just scroll the selector knob back to "none".

Toneport UX2 and Pro tools 11
Brazzy replied to ablank85's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
You can probably record 8 tracks at the same time with your DAW, I use Ableton and do it sometimes. Flying Squirrel is most likely correct. I haven't used pro tools yet. In Ableton, just open 8 audio tracks and select the input you want it to record and you can process independently. Make sure you arm all the tracks. If you play with it long enough you'll figure it out. Somewhere in internet land there must be a video explaining it. -
Your Welcome, Hope you figure it out sooner than later. Like fflbrgst said, there may be a noise gate somewhere activated with the level turned up? Going by the pictures you've posted it doesn't seem to be in PodFarm 'cause from what I can see it's turned down. Whatever software you start using, keep reading about it whenever you get the chance so that you know it inside/out. This makes for a more enjoyable experience.

Good information!! You don't need to use PodFarm or GearBox as I've used the UX2 with Ableton's effects and have gotten some good tone, but PodFarm and GearBox are made to work with the UX2 and give you more tonal abilities. I use these programs almost all the time. I don't use CubeCase as of right now I'm using Ableton 9, Reason Adapted and RiffWorks Standard. Added: Have you tried turning the output or mixer output in PodFarm Down while trying to record to CubeCase? Added: What does the output knob do? doesn't it control the dB level? the dB level still goes up when I have the output on 0. The recording still works too. What I thought was that, the output is 0, so nothing should be recorded. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The meter is reading the input of the guitar but you can change that in the settings for the device. The output controls what flows out from the Analog outs L & R on the baxk of the device. Added: Guitar - Amp (Blackstar HT-5R) - Emulated Output from my amp - Line 1/L input on UX2 - Pod Farm 2 - Cubase 5 However, I want to bypass the Pod Farm 2, so I have nothing on Pod Farm, just the mixer You can record your amps Emulated out but your going to have to tweak the levels, Start out low and work your way up. You should probably read the manulas on this software, there is quite a bit to it and reading has helped me to better understand the UX2 and related software better. I know this might not be helping exatly the way you want but for me it kinda hard to explain which is why I say read the manuals as they do help. Have you tried restarting the computer then connecting the X3?
-
Your clipping somewhere really bad for sure. Can you explain exactly your set-up, the programs your using, guitars, and how your routing it all. Maybe even a screen shot or two or three of anything you might think may help you and others with this same problem. Are you are you plugging into the PAD on the UX2? It's unlikely your UX2 is broken, but not impossible. These units are pretty tough and either tend to last forever or peter out rather quickly.

There's always something missing isn't there, lol. It would be nice if it worked with the FBV Express MKII like it does with PodFarm (MIDI).

I've got big hands too, LOL....That was Pretty Cool Punkyboy!!! Rock On Bro

How Do You Use Your Expression Pedal Besides Volume And Wah?
Brazzy replied to stumblinman's topic in POD HD
Good Thread. When it comes to pedals I'll try anything once, lol. Some freaky sounds can come pouring out of these devices. All great ideas everyone.
