  1. Glad you got it sorted out. Many FX blocks in Helix have multiple pages of parameters. You can tell whether there are more pages by the horizontal bar that appears just above the parameter display. If the bar is only partly lit up it means there are more pages of parameters.
  2. I would try a couple of things before replacing it. 1) Rotate the knob back and forth quickly, through its full range of motion, many times. This could dislodge some dust and dirt that may have built up in the shaft. 2) Use a cleaning fluid. Search for ‘cleaning a potentiometer’ for materials and method. DON’T use a common household lubricating fluid such as WD-40.
  3. You can apply Global EQ to either or both of XLR and 1/4”. See page 2 parameters for the Global EQ block. (See manual. I looked it up for you to provide this answer)
  4. Firehawk FX is not a successor to Amplifi. It is a floor model rather than an amp model but the underlying technology is very similar if not identical. Specifically, I'm not aware that there any differences re: Bluetooth implementation. There is no speaker included with the Firehawk FX. There is a Firehawk amp product but I have no experience with that. At its best, this technology is not really in the same league - tonewise - as your Helix. As I said, I have not had any serious issues with Firehawk FX. That's certainly not to say that others will have no issues. But bear in mind that this forum is a support forum. It's not surprising that most people who visit here are having issues. What this forum does not reflect is the number of users who are perfectly satisfied with their Amplifi/Firehawk products. There's really no way to even estimate or compare that number. Having said that, it does seem - based purely on the number of problems reported - that the Amplifi/Firehawk product series has been more problematic than most Line 6 products. I won't try to steer you one way or the other in your considerations. You may love the Firehawk or you may hate it.
  5. You’ll find the pedal Min and Max settings among the Controller parameters for the pedal. Press the Menu button and select Controller Assign. Select the Vol FX block and set the parameters as desired.
  6. There is a Mix parameter in the IR block that controls how much of the dry signal is passed through. Experiment with it. I’ve found that setting this at less than 100% can sound better.
  7. I agree. I use headphones, a pair of Line 6 L3t PA speakers, and a pair of 5” studio monitors. Over time I have tweaked my go-to presets so that they sound good on all of these devices. Not identical among any of them, but good on all.
  8. You should not see the VOL pedal in the scribble strips because it is already assigned to the EXP 2 controller. The scribble strips show blocks that are assigned to the FS controllers. Is your Mission pedal a latching or momentary controller?
  9. I have been using Breyer Dynamic 990 Pro headphones with Helix and other Line 6 devices for several years. They sound very good to me. As mentioned above, Helix Native will give you a good idea of how your headphones will sound with the Helix LT. Bear in mind that the soundcard you are using will have an effect on the sound as well. The Helix LT is an excellent soundcard, so if you try Helix Native with a standard computer soundcard the LT will sound better. EDIT: We we’re posting at the same time. I see from your post that you understand the difference between your computer soundcard and the Helix LT.
  10. @cfitch13 I suggest you read the section in the manual entitled USB Audio. This should give you a much better understanding of what we’re talking about. There’s a subsection entitled Reamping through Helix. Ignore that section and use Helix Native instead.
  11. I think you misunderstand. Helix Native is not used TO record. It’s used AFTER recording. Try the suggestion from rd2rk above. Continue to use Helix as your audio interface. In Logic Pro arm two tracks for recording with different Record Inputs as above. Record both track simultaneously. After recording, apply Helix Native to the dry (unprocessed) track. Put your guitar down and transfer the Helix preset you used for the recording into Helix Native. Use this as the starting point and then tweak the Helix Native preset as the recorded track plays back.
  12. I believe the HX FX has two external pedal jacks. Have you tried the other one? Also make sure your EXP pedal assignment (1 or 2) matches the jack you are using.
  13. Are you using Native on pre-recorded track or while playing live? From your description it sounds like the latter. If so, set Logic to receive only the dry guitar signal from Helix (USB 7 or perhaps 8 by default). Sounds like you maybe applying Helix Native to process the already processed incoming signal from Helix (USB 1&2).
  14. Test#1 would be the cable. Try a different one. Test#2 would be the EP1. Try it with a different device if possible. Test#3 would be a change in the Helix settings for EXP2 (e.g. an inadvertent change to the Max position). Then try a factory reset on the Helix (after creating backups, of course). If the problem persists after those tests come back with further details.
  15. Yes. You can’t change the spacing so the only solution is simply to become more accurate with your feet.
  16. HX Edit (which I assume is the SW you are referencing) does not pass audio to the Helix device. It sends and receives command and control information only. The audio is produced by the Helix. If HX Edit seems to be working but you are not hearing audio make sure your speakers or headphones are connected to your Helix, not your computer.
  17. Yes. You will find it in the Bypass/Controller tab in the HX Edit window, beside the Edit tab. The word Snapshot appears among the selection options.
  18. You can place a Helix preamp anywhere in the signal path shown in your diagram and assign a footswitch to bypass it. The key is the bypass state of the FX Loop. When it is bypassed there is no signal running to/from your physical amp’s preamp section. You will want either your Helix preamp or your physical amp’s preamp active at any time - one of them, not both. So assign the FX Loop bypass to the same footswitch as your Helix amp bypass, and save the preset with one of them active and one of them off. After that, the assigned footswitch will toggle between the preamp sections with one of them always on and the other always off. Alternatively, you can create a single preset with multiple Helix preamp blocks (up to the DSP limit) and use snapshots to ensure that only one preamp section (modeled or physical) is active at any time. All of the FX blocks that appear in the signal chain before the Helix preamp and the FX Loop will pass though whichever preamp is active.
  19. You don't need a Helix device to install and run the Helix Native product if you pay full price for it. With a new Helix device you will be able to purchase Helix Native at a discount, or even get it free at certain times depending on any Line 6 special offers. Try downloading and installing it. It will give you a free trial period. Note that Helix Native does not run standalone, with or without a Helix device. It is a plug-in, designed to run within a DAW host (an audio recording program).
  20. Glad you got it sorted out. Hope you enjoy the bundle!
  21. Q1: When you press the two leftmost switches together (the up/down switches) you are presented with a flashing display of all 8 snapshots. When you press one of them to select it, it becomes the active snapshot and the display reverts to its previous state. If that previous state happened to display the snapshot 'labels', the newly active snapshot is (or should be) highlighted. Of course if the previous display did not show the relevant snapshot label you won't notice any change in the display. Q2: Yes, you are missing something very important. In order to change parameters using snapshots you must first assign the parameter to the Snapshot controller. To do this, press and turn the knob controlling the parameter. The value will appear in white brackets indicating that the assignment has been made. You will now be able to save and restore different values for the parameter in different snapshots.
  22. There will be no hardware updates unless certain existing components become unavailable, as happened with the Pod HD500 necessitating a minor upgrade to the HD500X. But nothing is planned afaik. Current firmware is v3.11. Regular updates are expected to continue for some time yet.
