Certainly. Assign the Level parameter of your EQ block to the Snapshot controller (push and rotate the parameter knob; you will see the value turn white and become bracketed). Select each Snapshot one at a time, set the desired level, and Save the preset before moving to the next Snapshot.

Thanks. Out of my wheelhouse but will give others something to go on.

That's tough. Describing a sound is very personal. Can you give us a hint or example of what you consider to be a 'good, heavy tone'? What you have in mind could sound like bees in a tin can to me. Conversely, what I consider good and heavy might sound like it belongs in a kid's lullaby to you.

So, back to the original question….. If you don’t have that model you need to upgrade your firmware.
-
I’m probably looking at an old manual. Thanks.
-
Strange, but I don’t see that model listed in the HX Stomp or Stomp XL manuals.
-
The drivers must be downloaded separately. The Win 10 driver is available: use the Download filters to get it.
-
Try opening a support ticket.
-
That's the correct procedure. Have you tried restarting your computer after the update?
-
Describe the update procedure you used
-
See the USB Audio section, specifically DI Recording.
-
Reinstall the firmware. If that doesn't fix it open a support ticket. Back everything up first (or during), of course.
-
Try reauthorizing it using whatever procedure you used to initially authorize it.

It’s not global. You assign it per patch using the Controller settings There’s a Controllers tab in HX Edit. It’s very flexible. For instance, you can assign it to control any FX parameter (e.g. Delay Feedback) to vary from a minimum to maximum setting other than 0% or 100%. In that case sweeping the pedal controls the number of delay iterations you will hear.

Are you sure that EXP-2 is configured as a controller in the patches where it’s not working? You can try reinstalling the firmware.

Helix Looper Question/Advice to Avoid Tap Dancing

Thanks for the info. I guess never tried the looper again after the introduction of the Command Center in a firmware update. -
Helix Looper Question/Advice to Avoid Tap Dancing
silverhead replied to Vanderdecker's topic in Helix
@Jack310West: You are describing a standalone fully featured looper device. Problem is the internal looper in Helix or any other Line 6 device is not one of those. @Vanderdecker: The looper included in Helix is not really designed for live play. It’s more of a practice and tone shaping tool. I have tried and never managed to integrate the required tap dance into a live performance. There seems to be no practical way to avoid the complex tap dancing. If you need easy looping for live performances you should use a standalone fully featured looper. -
Two mutually exclusive suggestions: - consider placing the Rockman before the X3 Live input, between your guitar and the X3, rather than in the X3 FX Loop. - tinker with the FX Loop settings in the X3, particularly Send and Return levels.

There are settings to specify which Outputs the Volume knob controls but you need to address this at the Input stage, not the Output stage. You can use the Global Settings -> Ins/Outs -> USB In 1/2 Trim parameter to reduce the level of the signal coming from your computer. Or you can manually reduce the Volume level of the signal coming from your computer using the computer’s audio settings. Either way the level of the incoming signal from your DAW can be balanced as desired with your guitar signal.

I would ask the repair tech to contact Line 6; it shouldn’t be your job to give him/her information about how to do theirs. If the repair is beyond their ability then they should ship it to Line 6 for proper repair. And that shouldn’t be at your cost. I would also escalate the issue by opening a support ticket and requesting that Line 6 Support intervene on your behalf.

Mac Problem : unable to open downloaded tone/patch.

What Line 6 device do you have? Use its editor program to transfer the downloaded tone file to the device.
