Also, learn about the 4-Cable Method (4CM) - its purpose and signal flow. Decide if you would find that useful.

I don't know of a way to determine which *'l6t files are compatible with Pocket Pod. Nor do I know of any location other then Customtone to find them. Using Custmtone you can select Pocket Pod as the product to filter a search but I don' know how accurate that is.

Yes, performing a reset will restore the Factory presets. It will also overwrite existing preset so save anything you want to restore later.

With headphones, if you want to avoid the pop turn the volume down before powering off.

You must first assign the parameters you want to change using Snapshots to the Snapshot controller. You can do this by simultaneously pressing and twisting the associated parameter knob. When correctly assigned the parameter value will be coloured white. When editing snapshots I find it easiest to set the Global Settings -> Snapshot Edits to Recall.rather than Discard (best for playing, not editing). I don’t own the Stomp so the details might be different. See manual for complete and accurate info.

Turn your speakers off first. That’s standard practice with audio equipment. Work from the inside out (sound source to speakers) when turning things on and front outside in (the reverse) when powering things off. So, when powering on plug in your guitar first, then connect anything between your guitar and the POD, then the POD power switch, and finally your amp/PA/monitors. Reverse when powering off.

This thread was started nearly five years ago and the last post was almost two years ago. The guy you’re responding to hasn’t frequented here for a long time. At this point an iOS versionof POD Go Edit will never happen. Perhaps you’d be better off buying a device that has that capability from the outset rather than buying a device without it and hoping it will be added.

Can I create a shortlist of presets on the HX One?
silverhead replied to ScalenSwish's topic in Helix
Thanks for the correction. The HX One librarian is indeed NOT HX Edit as I had stated. Apologies for any confusion. -
Does POD Express EDIT software have it's own manual/user guide...
silverhead replied to strat1968's topic in POD Go
Yes, first time posts need approval by a forum moderator. I have also moved the post to the POD Express forum (part of the POD Go forum). I don’t own a Pod Express so will leave your other questions to others.- 1 reply

Can I create a shortlist of presets on the HX One?
silverhead replied to ScalenSwish's topic in Helix
Try using the editor/librarian for HX One called HX Edit. You can export and import presets between the HX One and your computer. You can choose the import destination (preset location). This will allow you to export your target presets to a folder on your computer and then import them to whatever location you want. Of course this will overwrite any presets currently in those locations so you might want to back everything up first. Check the manuals for both HX One and HX Edit for details. You’ll find them in the Support area of this website (see top of this page) in the Manuals section. -
I don't even know how to explain my issue in the title HD500X w/ Variax
silverhead replied to djspleen's topic in POD HD
The quieter, less gain symptom suggests a volume setting. Check the Vol Knob controller in the Variax settings for the preset. If it’s set to Don’t Force there might be something unusual going on as you switch among presets. Try setting this to a specific value and test again. -
Where did you get the files? Not all l6t files are compatible with Pocket POD.

Help with connecting a noise suppressor in amp’s effects loop, 4CM
silverhead replied to cdtreadwell429's topic in Helix
How does that reduce cables? Don’t you need cables into and out of the NS-2 no matter where it sits in the chain? Try it both ways and find out which sound/tone you prefer. -
Click on the Customtone link at top of this page, select Pocket POD as the product, and search for ac/dc. I get 15 tones (presets) available to download and audition. The Vyzex editor is a really old product now and I’m not really surprised to hear of issues on current operating systems but keep plugging away with it and you might get it working. If you have access to old computers you might have more luck with them. I know you’ve searched YouTube and have probably seen this but here’s something I found quickly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCnCchbqXNQ In order to transfer presets you need to learn about using Vyzex to sync your Pocket POD to the editor.

Many amps have FX Loop capability, which includes a Return input. Unfortunately your amp doesn’t. That means you can’t easily get a signal to your cab/speaker without going through the Marshall’s guitar input (preamp section). You could experiment with using the amp’s MP3 input which probably bypasses the preamp section and feeds directly to the cab/speaker but you’ll need to experiment with levels. If that doesn’t work well, that means you should not use an amp model in the POD Express preset; select the OFF amp model. Your POD Express ends up being an FX only device. For best results using the POD Express for amp modeling you will need to use a physical amp that has a Return input. If you then want to use the POD Express cab modeling, consider abandoning a physical amp and use a decent FRFR monitor, not a guitar amp cabinet. Ideally, use two studio monitors if you want to take advantage of stereo FX.

You’re right. There is doubling going on. Actually, probably a double double! (That can be good if you’re Canadian, but I digress.) If you are connecting the POD express output to your Marshall amp guitar input then you are using two amps: the amp model in the Pod Express and your Marshall preamp section. That won’t sound good. And, unless you do some editing on the POD Express preset you are also doubling up the cab/speakers: the default cab selected along with the amp model in the Pod Express and your physical Marshall cabinet. Again, not good. What you want is: - connect the POD Express output to the Return input on your Marshall amp - edit your POD Express preset to select no cab, the OFF setting (see manual pg 20) That way you are using only one amp (the POD Express) and one cab/speaker (your Marshall).

Guitar Input & AUX input not working after updating to firmware 3.80
silverhead replied to kbarre's topic in Helix
Did you perform the recommended factory reset after updating? Are you sure the affected preset has the Input block set to the Guitar or Aux input? -
Seems to me that in true bypass mode it should send only the mono input out of only the L(mono) output. In other words it should bypass the device entirely and route the mono input directly to the mono output. I’m actually surprised that you’re hearing anything out of the R output. Seems to me that if there were a stereo output it would not be true bypass.

You could start here…. Another very useful resource, especially the Tips and Guides area. https://helixhelp.com/tips-and-guides When your Headrush speaker arrives make sure you put it on a stand. The word on those speakers is that they sound very boomy when sitting on the floor. Are your headphones wireless/Bluetooth? If so how are you connecting them to the Helix LT? Can you try wired headphones connected directly?

There are (or at least were) several such web- based preset-viewer utilities available for Helix but I don’t recall ever seeing one for the POD HD series. I know it’s not what you want to hear but….. Maybe someone else has more useful info.

What computer are you using? It sounds like a USB a connection issue. Try using different USB ports.

Make sure you have assigned the parameter(s) you want to control to the Snapshot controller. Simultaneously push and rotate the parameter knob. The value will appear with white brackets around it when properly assigned.

Using POD Express with iPhone – Interface Question
silverhead replied to anihilus's topic in POD Express
The POD Express supports a 4-channel USB interface, with USB 3 and 4 each sending the dry, unprocessed POD Express mono output signal to the receiving program. So look for a way to configure Amplitube, JamUp, or AmpKit to recognize either USB 3 or 4 as its input.
