  1. You’ve done all the right things to recover it. Open a support ticket. Maybe it can be recovered but my guess is it’s headed for a service centre.
  2. Perhaps the Stadium is sending a MIDI PC command whenever a preset is loaded, and perhaps the Power Cab is responding to that? You can turn that off in the Stadium’s Global Settings -> MIDI.
  3. A couple of reasons come to mind... 1. Not everybody uses Snapshots. It could cause a lot of confusion for those people. They're meant to be used intentionally. 2. In the original Helix there was a limit of 64 parameters that could be controlled by Snapshots. I'm not sure whether that (or another) limitation exists in Helix Stadium but if it does it could quickly be reached. Again this could cause much confusion for people wondering why their Snapshot parameters suddenly don't seem to be working in a given preset but are working in other presets. But many users might prefer what you're suggesting. Feel free to submit a feature request. https://line6.com/company/contact/productfeedback/
  4. Variax support is pending, as described above. You can use Combo view to achieve the switch layout you want, as described in the manual. But you’re not alone…
  5. You’re right - the poll was ‘later with Showcase or earlier without’, but still clearly unfinished with other promised features yet to come. btw…. my earlier comments are my own. I don’t represent Line 6 in any way. They might not want to characterize current owners as early adopters, nor would they say that it was released in early-dev form. Both the initial version and the subsequent Showcase version were released when the features they offer were considered sufficiently robust and stable while at the same time meeting marketplace commitments (release in the fall of 2025). I look forward to many more years of Stadium development and ongoing feature additions and enhancements.
  6. I can understand your disappointment. Of course, disappointment is a corollary of expectations. Recall that, late in development, Line 6 publicly polled users with the question “Would you prefer a more complete and finished product that will be released later, or a less complete product available sooner?” The clear user preference was sooner, with additional features coming later. Accordingly one should not expect a complete product at this point. You’re absolutely right that promised features like proxy capture remain unfulfilled, as expected. Will other features like preset spillover be added in a future firmware release? I certainly expect so, but I’m not putting any timing on that. Helix Stadium is still very much in its early development. It will, and already has, been much improved. For instance the Showcase feature was not released in v1.1; it arrived in v1.2. Also, v1.2.1 was released very recently, fixing some 50-odd bugs. I think anyone who owns a Stadium device now should consider themselves to be early adopters, complete with the associated bugs and glitches. You don’t have to use it yet. You can wait for several more months until it is more complete and less buggy. Most users responding to the Line 6 outreach wanted it sooner rather than later, and that’s what Line 6 did. Who knows what Stadium will become? Recall that the original Helix product has evolved significantly since its release. It is hardly recognizable now compared to that time. The same will happen with Stadium. As you point out it is currently unfinished. Of course, your feelings are your own and they are legitimate based on a certain set of (reasonable?) expectations.
  7. Anyone experiencing this should open a support ticket to officially bring it to the attention of Line 6. Also, no need to reinstall if versions 1.2.1.1314 (firmware) and 1.2.1.3 (app) are visibly installed.
  8. Double check that the latest firmware version (1.2.1.1314) is actually installed. Use the latest app (v1.2.1.3) and check the Help->About info. The firmware version wil show as v1.2.1. Click on it to display the installed subversion. If it's not 1314 reinstall the firmware.
  9. You can do this in Command Centre. There’s also a flag for that in Showcase. You can also assign a physical Output (e.g. 1/4”) to Instrument level. Or, place a Send block anywhere in the signal chain and adjust its Level to suit.
  10. Are you logged in to your Line 6 account on the Stadium device? If so you should see an update notice with the Downloads icon on the main menu. Perform the update.
  11. A firmware update was released yesterday. I believe it fixed this bug.
  12. The firmware update released today claims to have fixed many bugs with Snapshots. Anyone tested it yet?
  13. Being a brand new product there are a number of bugs that have been discussed in this forum. As already mentioned, being a support forum that is to be expected. People don't generally post here to report that they are completely satisfied. Also, a bug fix firmware and software release was dropped just earlier today. By my quick count it resolves more than 50 bugs. Some other remaining bugs are identified and workarounds provided. Helix Stadium is quickly becoming a very reliable product. Let us know what you think after you've tried it.
  14. Be aware that the Stadium device ships with a microSD card already installed. Is that not working? Is this a rhetorical question or are you actually having a problem with your own cards? Have you been able to format them using Stadium? If so, have you tried using them?
  15. I spent most of my career in technical training and education in the private sector (i.e. a business, not a publicly funded institution). Prepare for a potential short term expression of ‘need’ (desire, actually), followed by a deafening silence once the actual cost per student for business viability is known. But please, everyone, surprise me! Indicate in your expression of need how much you would be willing to pay per hour of learning.
  16. Great post! I also would like to have such resources available, and it may be a great opportunity for somebody- but probably not Line 6. It’s a highly educational pursuit as you note, and would take Line 6 well out of its core business - DSP hardware and software. I certainly can’t see them doing this for free, and if they’re going to startup a new line of business they will need to be competitive. I expect the free market of existing education companies or entrepreneurs will determine whether or not there is a good business opportunity here. If so we will begin to see Helix Stadium educational products at a price. If not, well that probably means it’s not a good business opportunity. When you get down to a business case discussion I suspect you will quickly realize that the global market of Helix Stadium users (customer base) is really not very large. One existing example in the Helix world is a very educational book called the Big Book of Helix Tips and Tricks available at a very reasonable price at Sweetwater. There are also a lot of free Helix tutorials produced by Line 6 available (see the Support link at the top of this page). A quick Google search will show many others produced by people outside of Line 6 who are doing it for their own reasons, perhaps purely altruistic and perhaps as a driver for their own business pursuits (e.g. Helix Marketplace offerings). In any case I don’t think we’ll see Line 6 picking up the ball on this unless, as I said, they want to start a new business line in the education domain. But I’d love to see somebody do it.
  17. Perhaps the Level control on Path 1A Output can be used to cut/boost the (silent) signal entering Input of Path 2A?
  18. …. or Original Generation if you prefer….
  19. Well, if you want to wait you'll still have to turn it on to get the new firmware. Might as well test it out first. If it's sane, try updating to the current firmware. Then you'll be ready to update to the next release comfortably when that happens. I don't believe it was a firmware issue. I expect you just got a lemon. It happens.
  20. Fear not. It’s under warranty. Open a support ticket to get it recovered or replaced.
  21. Yes, since OG Helix presets can be imported into Helix Stadium the entire existing libraries of Helix presets are candidates. There are certain restrictions in the short term (e.g. Marketplace presets can’t be imported yet).
  22. This is probably a known issue. Several bugs with Snapshots have been identified and will be fixed in a future update. I suggest you get along as best you can until then and revisit this after the update.
