  1. Please could someone with this unit open it up for me and take a picture of the small power board inside near the power socket? I'm looking for the value of the green resistor on the bottom right of the board (looking from the back and top). My resistor has popped somehow so I can't tell what value it should be. Much appreciated.
  2. Hi all Im very new the world of wireless. Recently bought the Relay G90 and ive jamming with it for a few months and a couple of local shows with it and it worked a dream. Only problem i have now is, i had my first international support with it and the headlining band was using wireless systems aswell. My wireless was cutting in and out during sound test and i had to use a guitar cable in. Can anyone provide any help on why this would happen and how to fix it. The G90 runs off 2.4ghz digital wireless system as im sure most of you are aware. Im not sure the exact system the headlining band was using.

Hey all, wondering if anyone else has had this problem in the past with their Relay G50/G90 transmitter: My guitarist made the error of using his with a set of "cheaper" Chinese-made rechargeable batteries. I'm not sure if it was a problem with overcharging, heat, etc., but they're now stuck in his transmitter. The battery door still closes, and the transmitter still functions, but these batteries can not be removed. Almost as if they've expanded in size to the point where they're stuck. Has anyone developed a trick for dislodging batteries that have gotten stuck in these transmitters? Hoping I don't have to send it off to Line 6 in order to get this issue solved. I also don't want to attempt to disassemble the unit myself in order to remove them, as I'm sure the company wouldn't recommend that. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
  4. I'm using a Line 6 Relay G90 wireless, Helix Rack, Gibson Les Paul Axcess, through the band's front of house PA system, plus monitors. The wireless system is currently plugged into the Helix return 1 to save putting a lead round to the from back of the flight case to the front where the Helix guitar input is located. Due to some very cutting/harsh treble sounds, I'm now using the cable length setting at about 80-90ft on the wireless. I also note that I get a much better guitar sound not using the wireless system (using a standard cable) and using the guitar input on the front of the Helix. Am I missing something obvious to get the Relay G90 working better with the Helix rack system? Now I know there are plenty ways I can vary the Helix set-up, but I'm more interested in getting my source sound sorted, otherwise no amount of Helix tweaking will improve the overall sound. Are there any tricks, tips, hints, etc for G90/Helix use. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Peter.
  5. I have a dead (flashing lights G30 bodypack.) Replacement is 1/2 the cost of a whole new G30 system complete... Anyway, from what I have read, A G75 can be used with monkey updater to re-slash\firmware update the G30 bodypack. Can this also be done with a G90? I have rented a G90 for the next gig, and figured since I have it on rental for a few days, I might be able fix my G30. Appreciate any help!

    G90 dropping out

    Bought the Relay G90 in September and after a few shows it began dropping the signal...while live on stage. I have read countless forum posts about this problem, spoken to Line6 on the phone, and have tried every single suggestion to fix this problem but no luck...countless hours wasted It is so bad I can be standing in front of the receiver that is not even in the rack - 12" away and the signal drops in and out...and unfortunately for me and my band it happened in the middle of 3 live performances only a couple weeks after purchasing it new. I have been asked to send it in for inspection/repair (and still have not received the return shipping label or info yet...you're using email here right?), but to be honest after reading so many horror stories about this particular problem happening with this specific unit I am apprehensive to rely on this unit again while on stage. It is disappointing to say the least that money spent seems wasted... If the unit is this universally flawed then Line6 should be replacing them no questions asked with units/models that do perform or offer a full refund since online purchases only offer 30 days for a return and the G90 system seems to tank within approx 30 days or less... At this point I feel I have to wait for Line6 to send shipping labels so I can send it to them for a few weeks to be "fixed" so that I can go and trade it in on a different brand that will be more reliable for live performances....but in the mean time I am stuck with an expensive/useless unit and no wireless for live scheduled live performances unless I put up more money and go buy another model wireless system.
  7. Hey there - I'm noticing a very considerable difference in level when connecting via the g90 vs. connecting straight to the amp. This is detrimentally increasing the noise floor and causing a great deal of squealing and feedback through the amp. I've moved things around the signal chain and tried alternatives with gain structure and am confident this is not the issue - the only variable that seems to change output level is the line 6 g90... FYI: I'm not currently utilising the 'cable tone' setting on the g90. Signal flow is - Guitar> Line 6 G90> Line 6 Pod HD500x> Amp>
  8. After 2 TBP12 transmitter broke down,i think i need to have g75 with reliable 516G type transmitter. But my rig pack is all rack-mout,the g75 is not suit for rack. So when you guys upgrade the rack-mout reciver G90 to work with 516G transmitter?and is this in the future plan? Thx
  9. After 2 TB12 transmitter had broken down,i think i should switch to the G75 and get the reliable TB516G in gigs. But my gear is all rack-mout,the G75 cant be put in my rack,so when will you guys upgrade G90 to the next generation?its time to upgrade the flagship wireless system!

  11. Hello I recently purchased a Relay g90 to update my wireless needs. I love the sound of the unit but have been running into one major problem. Everytime I jump or move the body pack, that is attached to the strap and in a case, hits the back of my guitar I lose signal. The transmitter lights flash red for a brief second and then comes back on. As a very active musician you can see where the problem is. I love the metal case but it doesn't seem to be stopping the interruptions. I read that it could be caused by the battery connection being broken. Is there something I can do to fix the problem other than wrapping the whole body pack in bubble wrap? I have tried new cables and the problem still occurs.
  12. I searched but I couldn't find an answer. I usually am the only one with a G90 system but the other guys in the band are also using them now. This weekend of the 4th we'll be using all 3 live on stage for bass and two guitars. It'll be an outdoor gig at a large park in a large metro area. It's too late to buy the paddle antennas (and too costly atm) and I'm wondering if I might have problems? Any ways to make reception better? They will all be racked in one 20 space rack for convenience and are in the top 3 spaces with the rubber duckies on. Of course we'll bring cables for backup but it'd be nice to be able to use these live. We're not planning on being any further than 25 feet from the rack.
  13. I have had a G90 Relay system for about 3 years now. I recently tried to change the batteries and noticed they were not connecting properly and actually rattling around in the transmitter! The old dead batteries were not and still fit and connected well. Both Energizer brand. The old batteries are actually a millimeter or 2 longer than the new ones I had bought. Same with new Duracell's I bought. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a fix? Seems like they are making AA batteries shorter now which for spring loaded devices it's no big deal but for this transmitter its the difference between it working and not working.

    Hd Pro X and G90 wireless in a rack.

    I have a G90 and HD Pro X. There is no guitar in on the back of the Pro X, only on the front panel. The G90 only has guitar out in the back panel. Would you use one of the line in on the Pro X? If so L or R.
  15. Hi, i'm considering buy a G90 with active pair antennas and would like to know the difference between them. What's the range improvement? I play guitar in very crowded places and most of cases i have a lot of people surrounding me and they are usually between receiver and transmitter.

    Hi, I have 2 questions here. 1. I have one G90 system bought from Hong Kong, but I live in Taiwan. I'd like to buy one more TBP12 transmitter. How could I do? 2. If I want to improve the signal range of G90( more than 300 feet), what can I do? Such as change antenna or something else?
  17. been using it for a week now. its fantastic. no breakup sounds much better than a cable. i use it with no cable simulation and its much better. no tripping over cables. love it. basically I've been trying to reduce my cabling for a long time now and this is the solution. cable length is the biggest suck of tone. so i have this into a pod hd pro x and L6 into a DT25. perfect combination. love it. i was thinking about getting a variaz but it doesn't seem to support that?
  18. Deutsch Français Q: Can I use multiple transmitters with 1 receiver? A: Yes, you can use multiple transmitters with 1 receiver, however not at the same time on the same channel. The best practice for that type of usage is to have Transmitter A on channel 1 and Transmitter B on channel 2. Then switching the channel on your receiver from channel 1 to channel 2 will toggle which transmitter you will be hearing. You can do this with as many receivers as you have channels, provided each transmitter is on a different channel and you change the channel on your receiver accordingly. You can also set multiple transmitters to one channel, and turn them all off except for the one you'd be using. This way, when you switch instruments, you'd turn off transmitter A on the first instrument, then pick up the next instrument and turn on transmitter B. Just be sure that no one else using a Line 6 wireless system is using the same channel. Q: Does USB 3.0 create interference in the 2.4GHz frequency range? A: USB 3.0 computer cables and peripherals, including hard drives, are known to emit radio frequency interference throughout the 2.4GHz band, which results in reduced range and/or performance for any 2.4GHz device in its proximity (including wireless keyboard or mouse, WiFi, etc.). We recommend placing any digital wireless receivers at least two meters away from the USB 3.0 device and its cabling. Will there be clipping or distortion of the output? A: No problem with either impedance or input level. The Relay transmitters (TBP06 and TBP12) will handle 6V inputs. Q: What does the red audio LED mean on the G50 receiver? A: It means the incoming signal is clipping. This will not produce an audio dropout unless the red LED is on for a few seconds. Comme-ca, si vous changez les instruments, vous pouvez éteindre transmetteur A sur le premier instrument et allumer le transmetteur B du deuxième instrument.
