talwilkins 95 Posted May 28, 2016 Try searching for: Accu NP-F550 Or one ofe these: NP-F330, NP-F570, NP-F750, NP-F930, NP-F530 They seemto be the same battery. They're for some camera's. Maybe you can get those in Israel. Worst case scenario is you blow 15 to 20 Euro
silverhead 8,809 Posted May 28, 2016 Don't think Sweetwater ships/sells to Israel?

stevekc 185 Posted May 28, 2016 The Line-6 Tyler Variax batteries have an Echip to verify conformity and being s genuine Li-Ion type for the Line-6 product. It's not Line 6's fault, has more to do with the global CE IEC safety standards that became effective 2012 and are now enforced and i was thinking of buying a Helix...Use a Variax VDI Ethercon cable and you don't need a battery when used with any Line-6 VDI port equipped gear ( Helix, HD500, XT Live, Vetta) Or order the Line -6 Variax TRS 1/4" Power adapter /DI box Never worry about battery life again with the Line 6 Variax Cabled Power Kit. Line 6 Variax Cabled Power Kit Features: Power your Variax at gigs or in the studio without worries XPS A/B box works as a direct box sending your signal to your amp or mixer Includes 9V power adapter to power XPS and your Variax

silverhead 8,809 Posted May 28, 2016 Oh - so it's not availability that's the problem. It's cost. Are electronics in general more expensive, including shipping, in Israel? In any case, I don't think it has anything to do with Line 6 service as stated in your original post. They're not responsible for pricing and shipping in other countries. Costs more in Canada, too. Charlie_Watt 432 Posted May 29, 2016 Don't blame Line6 for your countries ridiculous tariffs. The battery is about $50 in the US.

brue58ski 631 Posted May 30, 2016 Almost all of the Variax peripherals are out of stock at Line 6 http://store.line6.com/accessories/guitars.html That's a bit scary.
noble2g 0 Posted November 4, 2016 I heard you can use Sony camera battery as replacement for tyler variax. Does anyone of you had an experience trying this one?
Charlie_Watt 432 Posted November 4, 2016 Does not work. It's been tried. Wrong Battery ID code..
snhirsch 91 Posted November 4, 2016 Yes, "cash-flow protection mechanism" prevents use of non-Line6 batteries.
psarkissian 355 Posted November 4, 2016 Correct, camera batteries won't work,... - The pin-outs are different - The drain rate is different We have enough overheating or exploding Li-Ion batteries out there, so don't use any substitutes. Used to see similar problems with Sony Discmans and Toshiba laptops, back in the 1990's. Substitute batteries,... ... don't go there.

psarkissian 355 Posted November 4, 2016 It's like that with everybody's products, not just Line 6. Less about cash flow, more about keeping the Samsung scenario from occurring.
TMOLLO 0 Posted March 21, 2020 I own a JYV 69 variax guitar. Worked fine for years . Now, I cannot get any of the special effects. With battery ( not showing any green lights) or using the power adapter. Any idea what is wrong?

Do you have something you can plug the VDI connector to to see if that works?
psarkissian 355 Posted April 21, 2020 Israel,... try Wild Guitars, they are a Line 6 authorized service center. Check with them.
