I'm virtually always using it in a verb-ey pad underneath or with other things, so the constant vibrato is always a help to the way I do things. But yes, if I was using it straight, it would probably get kinda old fast.
-
B) very cool indeed.

Funny, I was recording today, and when I used a clip on tuner that works GREAT for me when I use it live with my acoustic, something sounded "off". I retuned with the Helix tuner and everything sounded better together. Ya can't win for losing'...
-
I use return 1 for my acoustic signal and FX 3 and 4 for mel9 and POG 2
-
I am reasonably sure this will not solve the "problem". Only using Snapshots will.
-
Same for me...

This fact might be key. The tuner is more accurate, perhaps, than the string... Seriously... I think it is the granularity and accuracy of the tuner which makes it a GOOD tuner that is throwing some of you. Either that or you're all tuning DOWN to the note... or something'... btw, are we talking new strings? Because old dead strings are really tough to tune anyway.

Don't sweat it. The only dumb question is the one that isn't asked. Did you get it sorted/=? Hint: 1024 IR probably sound just fine in the mix if you find yourself hitting the CPU wall.

Bundle exports are entirely worthless.

It can do it in snapshot mode. It will never do it in patch mode. Just like Axe never will. Nobody would pay an extra grand to have this feature and latency issues that come with it. They know this.
-
I never thought I'd say this. "I miss Monkey"...
-
Is this in the editor? It sounds like what happens when you upgrade the firmware but you're using an old editor.
-
Just use a different bank for your presets and you won't easily accidentally over-write them.
-
Learn to get the most out of snapshots and you won't need this impossible feature.
-
I most certainly don't want to insult anyone... but are some of ya just doing it wrong? I find it weird that I have zero problems with 5 different instruments and some of y'all can't get your guitars in tune at all with it...
-
Well, the tuner IS stable... (runs and hides...) B)
-
Reading between the lines... I'd like to offer this: if you are asking a tuner in a multi-function box like Helix to be preferable to standalone devices that were made solely to tune and with no other function, you are asking too much. So if the real question is "Will the Helix tuner ever be as good as or better than a Turbo Tuner or StroboStomp" not only is the answer yes, but the answer is "Yes, and PLEASE Line 6 don't sink a bunch of development time into this... model new amps and FX instead..."
-
I guarantee you that a LOT of the pros who use this live would NOT EVEN CONSIDER it if it had such a feature, though. That is anathema to live use. Always want an ALWAYS ON box for that.
-
Nope. you DO NOT want that in a piece of gear designed to be used for live performance on stage... not imho anyhow.
-
At a reasonable price, my Sennheiser HD 380s sound GREAT with Helix. But even better, most of the time, is my Share 215 IEMs. IEMs work differently than standard headphones, and with my Shures I can actually tweak for stage use and it works. I can't do that with any conventional headphones.
-
I leave my Helix on for long periods (sometimes a couple days at a time). No problems. No overheating. Don't worry about it. I turn it off when it's not in use when I can remember to, because I don't want to waste electricity and money, but i often forget and come down the next morning and it's still on.
-
Neck pickup. Tone down. The tuner is very specific and "granular". So it looks jumpy. How hard you hit the strings and how old the strings are makes a difference, too. Honestly, I have no problem with Helix Tuner. I do prefer my Strobostomp, but get along with Helix's tuner well enough that I rarely even get the Strobostomp out anymore except to tweak intonation on guitars.

I had the 60W original version of that amp. That is an AMAZING and underrated amp.
