  1. Have a look at the acoustic dt patch I put in customtone. It has a 'flat' send to the pa via the effects loop and then rads great patch to the DT for a great on stage sound. enjoy...
  2. I ended up changing midi leads to flash my dt25. The 1st set wouldn't work...
  3. Yes, Dream Rig is fine when it works! I've had probs with the footswitch lights & the dealer here (Andertons - I will never use them again) was at 1st very helpful then said "oh we can't fix that". It made me realise how dependent we are on the components. OK, I have a spare guitar, but if the POD goes down? I've ended up buying a cheap A/B switch that I now keep in my bag so at least I can go from clean to dirty if it does! at"
  4. I'll try and pop down but as I'm in London please dont be offended if the 9,000 trip makes me a bit late! ;-). Hope it goes well!

    POD HD500X

The view button cycles you through the the main views. I prefer the one where you can see the four patches available on the selected bank.
  6. As jandrio says, the two are not interchangeable. You might get more out of a DT25 as the 'valve tones' may suit your ears. If you can try both and see which you like best. You will need to get to grips with the 500x to get the best out of it. I found using the edit software pretty easy - although it's limiting if you can't make a few tweaks on the pod itself. Also there are loads of patches in Customtone so maybe look there, download a few, then tweak them so they sound best to you. Above all, have fun!
  7. I had the same problem so built a patch based on one by Rad (who makes great tones). It's in customtone here: http://uk.line6.com/customtone/tone/817430/ It has a split path with the main tone coming through the fx loop but with Rads tone to the DT so that you get a great 'on stage' tone too!
  8. If you put the strap on its longest - or maybe attach a longer one from the hoops could you not wear it over 'both arms and round the back of your neck' like its a back pack? I used to ride with my school bag like that and its stops it swinging round! Best of luck!
  9. I have the line 6 bag for my 500x and a JTV in a gig bag. The strap on the 500 bag is stong and I often sling that on my back then the guitar over my shoulder. ok on a bike you would need to be careful of one swinging round but I expect its possible! all the best!
  10. Yea, a portable version of Edit would be good. I have taken a laptop to rehearsal on occasion but I normally feel the need to tweak something when I haven't planned to!
  11. Yes it is but I have found that when I need to make a minor tweek at a rehearsal/gig I have no idea how to do it on the POD. I'm getting there but must learn to be better at that
  12. Yes, as the others say Edit is very easy. If you have a number of set orders that you use regularly then you could use 'save setlist' to make a copy of the different orders and then load the one that is nearest to the set you decide to play.
  13. Just had a chance to load up the patch and It sounds great. Thanks Lee! I hope to get a chance to try it out 'properly' on Wednesday! Peace out....
  14. Fully appreciate what you say Lee. I have a Dream Rig so sounds should translate between gear however, there are lots of posts here saying 'this or that doesn't sound right' and what people seem to forget that we all have ears and what sounds good to one person might not sound good to someone else. We can only help each other with the tech! I really hear wht you say in "all I know is it works for my situation". I hope that that is what all if us are aiming for! Thanks.
  15. Not sure as I dont use the patch. The treble side is not bright enough to make the riff audible to me. This whole thing started because Charlie wanted a patch with the pitch drop and this is the only one ive ever found where it works on a 500X. I got it from CustomTone but it dosent seem to be there any more. I didnt want to post it back there as, frankly, I dont want to be associated with it! if you have one please post it or put a copy here as it would be great to have a good one! Thanks!
  16. Lol, that was the wrong file! Try this one.! BlackKeysLonel.zip
  17. I saw in another thread that peeps are attaching zip files. Can you get it from here? Peace... LonleyBoy.zip
  18. I have the bit between my teeth now! You just need to visit that page and do whatever you would do to download a file! failing that message me an email address and ill send it to you!
  19. Load the html page I made - the one called 'lb.html' then right click on the link and hit download. That should sort you!
  20. OK, visit this page - there is a link here: http://msbco.co.uk/lb.html I'm not sure that it is worth it!
  21. The file is at that location. If you copy it and paste it in the addess bar it should open in Edit. The file name has a space in it so shouldn't cause a problem. When i next put the pc on I'll try imbedding it in a page
  22. OK, so it won't let me attach a 500X file! Can I use html to make a link? Try downloading from www.msbco.co.uk/lonley boy.5xe See if we can do it!
  23. Ah, where did that go then! I'll try and sort it tomorrow.. Did you wash behind yo' ears?
  24. I was using a keyboard amp to get as 'uncoloured' sound as I could but the DT has such a better tone im glad I switched. Yes, its heavy but I try not to carry it too far! I've managed to split acousric patches so I send a feed to the PA through the fx loop then pretty much use the DT as a monitor with a greatly reduced volume. Horses for courses....
