Thing about most religions is that they don't allow for humor, and their adherents have no concept of "context".

Be more specific. The problem being addressed was that Cakewalk would "hang". Is that what's happening? If 1.97 is completely off your system, you could try re-installing Cakewalk.

Instead of wasting your IR block, try these (attached). 2 to 1 uses a FS to switch L/R Inputs into a single signal chain. 2 to 2 allows use of both Inputs into separate signal chains. This example is configured for guitar and bass but could just as easily be configured for acoustic and electric. Input 2 to 1.hlx Input 2 to 2.hlx

Are you sure that you UNINSTALLED v1.97 and didn't just ROLL BACK to the previous driver?

People have been known to handle live rattlesnakes... walk on hot coals... walk around the neighborhood at night... well, that last one is pure foolishness, but you get my point! :-)

That was a fun experiment! Connect MIDI IN and OUT (or use a MIDI Routing SW if connected), turn off MIDI PC SEND and MIDI THRU (to prevent a MIDI LOOP). Then set a FS to BANK/PROGRAM: Bank CC00=0 BankCC32=Destination Bank# (0-7) Program=Destination Program # It works. HOWEVER - if the destination preset contains a similar configuration wherever it points is where you'll end up. In that case it seems to act like a toggling message or Instant Command, executing on preset load. I expect this is the kind of "bug" that results from no one considering that anyone would ever want to do this, so it was never tested. Helix users - pushing the boundaries! NOTE and WARNING!: In the course of having all that fun I tried several combinations of Bank Select settings. Some of them crashed HX Edit and appeared to have corrupted one of the setlists. Fortunately, a simple reboot fixed it.

They fixed it on their end. Once the authorization process is properly completed you're good. As long as it works when you're offline, why would it matter that it tries to call home? Positive Grid - EWWW! The only amp sim purchase that I totally regret! PITA on EVERY level.
-
No, because once it's authorized you don't need to be online to use it.

Something on their end. We don't need to do anything, it just works now. "On a hunch, I made some modifications on our side. When you have chance, go ahead and try launching Reaper and Native again."
-
Native won't open problem fixed! Josh at L6 Support fixed it! At least it works with Reaper, I don't currently have any other DAWs installed to test on.

Helix MIDI commands.. how to have visual feedback?
rd2rk replied to nadabrahmananda's topic in Helix
Nope. Someday MIDI 2 will be the standard that all HW and SW companies implement, and we'll have true 2-way communication. Don't hold your breath. -

You would need to use "CC Toggle" which IIRC, does not work well with Live (NOTE is Live's prefered method) and in any case will not necessarily reflect the status of the switch in Live until you've actually toggled it - IOW, if the switch in Live is saved "ON", you'd need to hit the FS twice to turn it off, after which it would reflect the Live switch status so long as you do NOT directly toggle the switch in the Live UI. -
Hint: What most politicians are Full Of. Besides hot air, although that is often a side effect when someone is full of it.

I like broccoli. And brussels sprouts. And hot dogs and pizza. NY pizza of course. The problem is that most places that claim to be NY style pizza are FOS. Nobody wants to eat that. Well, obviously SOME people do.

Check in Settings>Apps&Features. If 1.97 is still there, uninstall it.

You're sounding very much like a troll. If you love FAS so much, what are you doing here?

This is how I do it.

Nobody is saying it is. Re-read the thread.

Related (I think) - the first time I used an EHX Pitchfork for Eb tuning I thought "OMG! This latency is horrible! How can anybody use this thing?" It wasn't until I stood up and cranked the volume that I realized I was hearing the string before I was hearing the note. Once that was no longer a problem, the latency was still horrible, but I was able to compensate with note timing (NOT Yngvie here).

It's going to cost you a Block no matter what. If you're not wanting to use both inputs in a single preset, just one at a time, you put a Pan Block first in the chain. For Input L you pan LEFT 100%, Input R pan RIGHT 100%. You SAVE your Presets accordingly. If you want the option to use either, then you assign the Pan Parameter to a FS, MIN=Full Left; MAX=Full Right. If you want to use each on a separate Path then you use a Y Split Panned L/R and do the same on the MIX point. Either way, if you have an instrument plugged into L/Mono you also need to have an instrument plugged into the RIGHT Input else the L/Mono will send on both Paths.

I use up to 3 amps glitch-free in complex presets with multiple FX, controlling it all with a combination of Snapshots and FS assignments of individual parameters. At the same time I use MIDI from CommandCenter to control external devices (Catalyst100, Powercab212+) and my DAW, including the plugins within it. The new stereo cabs - with newly shot (not the original) factory cabs which allow the mics to be moved in all directions, or dual IR cabs - sound terrific. And, of course, they'll keep adding features through FREE updates until the device is maxxed out, which according to L6, won't be for a while yet. They keep improving the CORE to make even more possible. IOW, NO, a new HW platform is NOT imminent. BUY IT! YOU'LL LIKE IT!
