  1. 10k pot should work. Global Settings -> Preferences -> EXP/FS Tip / Ring must be set to EXP.
  2. Congrats! I think the main stumbling block for newbies can be the cab block if you're going direct. Some like it - some not so much. I personally think that it offers great results. Just try it out - much to explore. The 2nd way of cab simulation is the IR block - if you're into heavy rock / metal you might consider York Audio's MES 212 V30 limited 1$ offer . I find them a stellar representation of the Mesa Rectifier 2x12 cab which maybe is the best cab for heavy tones out there [does very nice cleans, too - Cali IV Rhythm 1 *hint hint*] . It's a good way of getting a feel of what good IR's can do for you. Other then that - play, explore, enjoy!
  3. Current is measured in ampere, right. That adapter has a jack. You would need a plug: https://www.logsdonaudio.com/cables/strymon-power-supply-and-line-6-pedal-current-doubler-cable Only use with a 9V power supply!
  4. Put a SimpleDelay on Path B, then navigate to the split block before it, set it to Split Y with BalanceA @L100 and BalanceB @R100.
  5. It's basically a parametric EQ in front of the amp +4dB@720Hz, Q 0.7. It's purpuse is to boost mids in a tube screamer-ish way - more gain without getting muddy.
  6. The adapter you suggested doubles the voltage (by connecting two voltage source in series). Don't use that. You need 9V for the HX Stomp not 18V or 24 V. Some 9V pedal power supplies offer multiple isolated outs with 500mA max each. For those iit is possible to connect them in parallel to sum the available current (i.e. 500mA + 500mA =1000mA = 1A).
  7. Volume/Pan -> Stereo -> Stereo Width with RPolarity set to Invert enhances the stereo width. Adjust with Width. This puts the stereo sides in paraphase. It's a strong effect. Use with caution: when you mix both sides to mono they cancel each other out and the sound disappears. Alternatively try this delay trick.
  8. Why do you connect amp send to HX return L if you don't use the amp's preamp? Why use HX send to amp? You stated it was HX output to amp return.
  9. There is some information missing: Do you use 4CM? It seems so since you've connected amp send to HX L return What is your guitar connected to? What is HX send connected to? If you use 4CM then one of the two loops is already occupied. To use the second (FX loop R) you'll need a TRS split cable.
  10. You should have mentioned the fact that the delay is in a parallel path in the op. Bypassing a parallel delay means the blocks dry input signal passes by unaltered. If the block is on and mix is 100% no direct signal passes by. So by bypassing the block dry signal is added to the existing signal on the parallel path and it gets louder. Using the delay in series solves this.
  11. It's probable that your chat program has in it's preferences an option to choose an audio device.
  12. Right, sorry for my sloppiness there. What I actually mean is the level of the digital signal for Out1/2 before it's DA converted and becomes the analog signal on Out1/2. Level destined to Out1/2 before DA conversion: USB/recording level + cut from volume knob position (full = no cut) + Global EQ
  13. Well, DA conversion clipping is obviously wrong. If i.e. your floor monitor lacks bass in a venue it's perfectly fine to adjust to it by boosting low frequencies with the Global EQ. I'd argue that's it's intended purpose - adjusting to acoustic environments. The volume knob doesn't change the USB levels. Analog output level before DA conversion: USB/recording level + cut from volume knob position (full = no cut) + Global EQ Level destined to Out1/2 before DA conversion: USB/recording level + cut from volume knob position (full = no cut) + Global EQ
  14. Or you could use a proper guitar like a vintage Telecaster. Then the Twins default settings are golden right away. ; )
  15. Hopefully Line6 will some day learn that documentation should not be considered optional. But they are in the business for over 2 decades now and some things never change.
  16. There are lots of amp models that can do clean. All kinds of clean. The Studio Tube Pre is one option for a clean preamp.
  17. Helix is a USB sound device aka sound card. It's headphone jack doesn't support mic in from headsets. On Windows 10 click on the volume icon on the right side of the task bar. Click on the arrow on the right top to select the audio device. This arrow only appears if your system senses multiple sound devices.
  18. The amp's FX loop supposedly has bypass according to https://www.jrrshop.com/panama-fuego-15-head-amp-figure-mango You might investigate whether that's true and if that might cause the problem.
  19. No. It depends on the strength of the alternating electromagnetic fields that are introducing noise. Longer cables only increase the probability of picking up noise by such sources.
  20. As stated in the thread you started TRS vs TS has no effect on sound. It only prevents added noise.
  21. When linking the HX Stomp with the Headrush a TRS cable prohibits added noise along the cable caused by electromagnetic fields. It also brings the possibility to lift ground which eliminates hum introduced by ground loops. There are no settings to enable/disable this.Technically it's always on, but it has no effect on TS cables since the ring is shorted to ground in that case. TS vs TRS does not change the sound as stated by @rd2rk.
  22. To communicate my observation as clear as possible: the only thing I had to adjust to replicate the behavior you described was to slightly adjust either the HX volume knob or the amps gain knob. I wish you a successful search!
  23. Are 4 cables connected like this? 1. guitar -> HX input L 2. HX send -> amp input (or pre in) 3. amp effects loop send -> HX return L 4. HX out L -> amp effects loop return
