  1. It has worked 100% for me. .. Only tried it once tho...
  2. What I would do: Bring the PE, a 1/4in cable and an XLR, run the 1/4 cable from a different, unused output to the PE, let him mic it, and when he isn't looking, before he turns you up in the mix, take the cable out of the mic and plug it into the mono XLR out, plugging the extra XLR you brought into the mic and let it run to somewhere he won't notice. He'll turn you up and once he gets sound from you, he won't think twice about it. Or show up with a full stack and knock him out the park!
  3. Well that's what you get for doing such a great job at everything else
  4. I'm sure it's that way to act like switching on or off a real pedal.
  5. This happened to me the other day while recording with my Helix. I'm looking down at my strumming hand and I notice my Helix flash the same screen without touching it at all. Of course it reverts back in a second or two
  6. Wow. Cereal has been thoroughly shat in this morning. Spike, this forum is not new to people posting problems and not updating threads. In fact it's been happening here for years. I like the effort tho..
  7. Don't all jump at once now..
  8. Perhaps using a separate interface would work.. Send and returns from in the input and output of the interface to the Helix and the computer is in the chain.. In theory. Last time I tried to do something like this I almost got shocked and probably could've damaged something

    Acoustic Sim

Hey all, in my sig is a link to my custom tone page where a few days ago I uploaded an Acoustic Simulator preset. Instructions are in the comment section with a link to the IR used. Check it out, I'd love to hear what you think.
  10. Just about every block has a Level Param that you could assign anywhere. The possibilities are in surplus
  11. Each amp model on the Helix is a model of one channel. You can usually have two amps on your chain and toggle them with a single switch
  12. Sure, although a google search with the info I provided in OP and some dilligence could get you the whole pack and you might find another better suited to your tastes. They're old, but free and if you're no stranger the world of IRs then you probably know about them already. No shame in sharing, here ya go https://www.dropbox.com/s/z9wusdrulia8k0s/To%20Rule%20Them%20All.wav?dl=0
  13. Well I've posted it if anyone likes the idea.. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Mix-stomps-snaps-and-presets/862882-23508
  14. I figured I'd ask before I make a duplicate idea. I'd like to see a way to combine the different modes (pedal, snapshot, preset) to make it so we can place snaps, stomps, and presets freely anywhere among the footswitches. Example: Say I only wanted two snapshots and I wanted them on FS1 and FS2, and some stomps on the rest, with a preset button on FS11. Has anyone submitted anything like this?
  15. One wedge by itself likely won't cut it depending on how loud things get.
  16. Just hit stop and record again. It will overwrite
  17. My setlists were acting up prior to 2.11 but my experience wasn't the same. My preset names disappeared and every block was that of the very first factory preset and my Helix would freeze. What seemed to trigger it was trying to move a preset from one setlist to another. No problem since 2.11
  18. Is this strange? My experience with IRs go back a few years to when I was using VSTs for home recording and silent practice (didn't even have a Pod yet) and the only IR that clicks with me is one of Guitar Hack's old IRs, GuitarHack JJ BBAE 0.wav. It's free and I'm sure everyone has it or can get it but I use it for EVERYTHING. High gain, clean, jazz, blues, literally everything. It's the ONLY IR I have loaded into the Helix. I've tried lots of other IRs but I keep going back to this one. What I really want to know is if anyone can point me to something else that might change my mind (blowing my mind is encouraged)? This is not a dilemma, but I'm just curious! Thanks!
  19. Play with the screen resolution settings?
  20. I see nothing wrong with comparisons. I was at a point where I couldn't decide between the two units so I looked up every comparison I could to try and learn as much as I could. I didn't care who "won" or paid much attention to people's own biased opinions other than factual statements. Don't like? Don't read. Information is optional.
  21. Quarter inch outputs will be louder
  22. Arrived today. Doesn't work. Won't even charge my phone.
