  1. Yup it's a shame! Looking forward to the quad DSP upgrade for helix!
  2. Guess you're right, all I know for sure is I can play a song with one patch, just still having to tap dance through the song, witch I'm pretty used to, just tired of doing it, and thought I would be able to quit doing funny dances for everyone just trying to accomplish the various effects switches, and looper functions I want to pull off. Have to admit I'm able to accomplish more with less effort with helix, just envisioned something more, and be live it's possible, that's all.
  3. Can I get through a set one preset per song? Yes! Am I satisfied with this? NO! Does this limit us? Immensely! Yes, I've found ways to work around this issue, but that's it, it's an issue, kinda gets old having people with less complex signal paths explain that this isn't an issue, it is!!! Do love my helix though!
  4. This would make a wonderful Christmas gift to all the helix users!!!!
  5. Well I guess you guys are right, perhaps all my complaining is based on my lack of experience with this kinda stuff, but am killing my back every time I sit down to edit this monster! All in all I am glad to have the helix, and now that I do will do everything I can to make it work, including the use of my patience reserves.
  6. Yea, tweaking with the feet just doesn't cut it! I truly feel the editor should have been ready for release! Among other things to numerous to mention at this point.
  7. Yes, this can be done. However there's only so much DSP to go around. So there's definitely a limit to how complex each signal can be.
  8. All in all this is true, but it sure was a come down from the picture I had in my mind when I first got the helix.
  9. Thanks for getting back Phil! I'll see why you would think that would work. But I don't at any point want to completely shut off the last path, just my live signal. I still want that last path to feed the left amp recorded loops while feeding both loops and live signal to XLR/PA. The preset is just a Mock preset. The problem is happening at the bottom. That last vol/pan block be for the looper block is the one question. And does it's job fine until I turn on a block in the signal path I just after it.
  10. Having trouble with the pan block! I'm trying to feed two amps a "left and right signal", while also feeding the XLR OUT separately with a amp/cab model to send to a PA. Then be able to remove my signal from the left amp, but not change the XLR OUT. It took me a while, but found a way to accomplish this. Only problem is once I turn on the pan block that shuts my signal off from one amp if I turn on any blocks following the pan block, it turns my signal back on!
  11. First off I'd say I no way should you expect the helix to replace the H.O.G. 2. I have the first one, and had to keep it on my board. Along with my whammy 5, timeline, Octasynth, and 2880. The Helix pitch whammy is ok if you don't have the original, but when you A/B the two they're just not the same. And helix makes no attempt the model the H.O.G.
  12. Thanks for all the input! Keep it coming! Would be more ideal using powered PA speakers? Would that be to dry?
  13. Thanks for getting back guys! The super-sonic has fx loop, will give that a try in practice tonight. I'm not running any full amps or cabs models, only preamp models to add dirt. One thing I've noticed for sure is when I run guitar-helix(no blocks selected)-amp, it sounds nothing like running guitar-amp, Nothing! Helix is taking a massive toll on my signal! Is this normal I'm wondering?
  14. Well I'm running out of helix into the front end of two fenders, a super sonic, and Vibro King. Not having the best results. High gain being the hardest to get sounding good, but even clean tones a problematic, splat, fizz, overall my tone seems thin, and brittle!
  15. In the topic questions about pre and power amp models??? It's suggested that at tube preamp inserted into the signal helps round off the digital edges. Thinking of giving that a shot. Definitely hearing this fizz you speak of, driving me nutz!
  16. I've had preset parameters changed when loading saved presets, not sure why. No gaps in between presets
  17. Create a block in path 1A, hit the action button this will enlarge the block visually, now with the joystick highlight the block, and simply pull it down to the next path. Hope that answers the question.
  18. I hear you! Feeling your pain! Smart idea feeding the helix it's own midi messages, but alas you hit the preset load time issue. Wish I had an idea to offer, but we're in the same boat my friend. I think being able to set more than one switch to a given block would help. Cause with my hyper wet signal I'm hopelessly stuck in one preset per song.
  19. Yes this is the case, Pretty much stuck with one Preset pre song! Sad but true! Make sure to vote on this issue in ideascale!
  20. I'll give the Mic setting a shot. As far as not cranking the volume nob, I have tried all volume levels, and it doesn't seem to help tuning it up all the way. Just seems to loose definition the more I crank it. Have it set at 50%, which really is leaving me to quite for practice, so I turn up to 75%, which does increase vol a tad, but it aggravates the tone issue.
  21. I've definitely noticed a huge change in my tone dropping the helix in the middle of my board. Seems even when I have no blocks selected my signal is a choked compared to just running straight into my amps. Yes still using my amps, just didn't want to spend more $ to have stage good volume. Wondering if this preamp pedal would help get back the tone?
