Ahhh!!!!! What the F! I haven't had enough time to confirm weather or not it's working right. Wondering if taking another 4hrs or more to reprogram the snapshots will work? Ugh... Yeah, come on guys, this is a major let down, major!!!!!!!

Yeah, figure my flight case can double as my coffin when I'm done.

Definitely, I have a timeline, and two loopers in series in a stereo fx loop. It will take up two effects loops. So sends from fx loops 1&2 to the first h9, out of the h9 into the next, then out of the second h9 back into returns 1&2. Now simply select a stereo fx loop block. Voila!

Short answer.... YES!!!

Do you think there will be a Firmware update before NAMM

I totally agree! -

crickets.... Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but line 6 crew seem to be pretty absent from the forums, at least on this issue, which is really the issue, DI says it's in beta, guess it didn't pass the test, and some reworking has been going on, but then again here I am speculating again...??? -

Help With MIDI. Controlling a Boss SY-300 with Helix
Roberttheprole replied to Rocco_Crocco's topic in Helix
This is a cinch! First confirm what midi channel the sy-300 is set to use through it's menu. Menu---midi---midi settings It's the first option Then go to the helix command center on the patch your working with. Now choose an instant command. Command - bank/prog Midi ch - whatever channel you have the boss set to Program - the number of the present you wish to recall. Working great for me. However if you intend to send midi commands using footswitches in snapshots mode, you'll have to wait, cause with current firmware the helix is a crippled animal at the moment.... dying for another update to fix this!!!!! -

Well if we're listing our wishes, I'd like to give a shout out to having back the ability to send midi messages when changing snapshots!!! Seriously!!! Updates are supposed to be just that! So curious how that wire got crossed! Whatever the case, is this not important to everyone as it is for me?!?!?!? hahaha -
Right, yeah I hear you, nothing beats a heavy tube amp, I play through two fenders, and a mesa boogie live, but for low volume jamming, and recording, and other physical aspects of it there's no way I'd want a downgraded version

I don't know bout hx effects, I use a helix floor unit, but am currently running pretty much the same setup you describe no problem, other than the fact that helix only provides monophonic pitch shifting, so still need whammy5 on guitar, and use a pitchfork for the bass. Apparently they're working on polyphonic though! In my humble opinion if you save a bit longer and get the full helix you will not regret!

When's the 2.60 firmware coming? It's only been 12 hours!

Not so worried about the numbers picked to describe the next update, I just pray that it will fix the midi command problem with snapshots!!! This is no minor issue, this has Helix significantly crippled! I'm sure I don't stand alone in anticipation of a speedy, but clean, and productive update! Any news would be great though?!? -
I plug all my mono effects into this amazing machine, then plug it into helix, has a stereo mode if need be, and can controled with midi through helix. Love it! http://www.disasterareaamps.com/shop/dpc-8ez-gen3

Yeah, they can be a good way to color your tone, I only use the amp models when recording, and play with helix through real amps in practice, and on stage. The preamps are definitely useful in that context. Instead of a distortion model, I'll through a preamp model in it's place.

Yes, using snapshots to control pedals in fx loops, and helix looper via midi, was working fine just before the last update -

Snapshots not sending midi data!!! FW 5.53
Roberttheprole replied to Roberttheprole's topic in Helix
Yeah, instant commands seem to work fine. And when I set a footswitch to send a midi command that works to, but when I have that switch toggle on and off via snapshot change, it doesn't send the corresponding command. -

Yea, commands work fine manually, but when I try to have snapshots send so command I get nothing... -
Imagine my disappointment! I suppose this is the danger of writing new material with the amazing things helix can do in mind. At the moment there are several songs that are unplayable because of this issue. Please Digital Igloo, please tell us this is a top priority to get fixed???

my band Seven Circles just dropped our new album Retrograde Parade, helix was used to record all guitars, and bass
