  1. I don't know what would cause that. The pickups look like they are potted to me so I don't think liquid would get inside. They should be more reliable than the originals. I had intermittent contact problems with my original 500 pickups. It's been solid with the Ghost pickups. I think the sound is a bit "darker" with the Ghosts which is ok with me.
  2. Nice! I like the color and it's cool to have one that is different.
  3. Make sure you replace it with another dual 5 way. The analog is isolated from the digital.
  4. The locking tuners that came with my 69S are just fine by me. Stay in tune great and I have not had any string issues.
  5. Strange. The Piezo outputs are very high impedance so if any sweat got across the two input connections, it would temporarily short out the signal. The connections are under the bridge though so I would have thought they would be well enough protected. You could probably spray a protective coating over them if it keeps happening.
  6. I wonder if anyone ever uses the Normal Channel on a BFDR? I don't ever use it on mine. (mostly because you lose the reverb) I built mine from scratch a bunch of years ago. It's my favorite amp.
  7. No. The Vib. Channel is the second channel on a BFDR. It is Vibrato (and reverb on the real amp)
  8. All you care about impedance wise is that it is low relative to the inputs you will be jacking into. You don't match impedance on low level signals.
  9. Just remove one of the tuners and measure the hole diameter. Unless somebody here has done that you are just guessing. If you want to know for sure, you should measure it yourself.
  10. Super! Glad to hear they are finally getting into people's hands after all of the waiting.
  11. The new models do not stand out in any way in the list but they should be there if you installed the vintage pack through the license manager. And the license manager should show that you have that pack installed.
  12. It may not even be a bad piezo. It is more likely a connection problem.
  13. Did you install the latest version of the editor SW? It should show up there if it got installed on your Pod.
  14. I had no problem installing with win 7 pro. I did it so long ago I don't remember doing anything special. Do you have admin privs?
  15. If it's new why not send it back to the store you got it from. It's clearly defective. You should not have to replace a piezo on a new guitar.
  16. Those strings will be fine. String change is easy with the locking tuners. Just do one at a time so the floating trem does not get all out of wack.
  17. You did not say what OS you are using. With Windows you usually get the option to continue when you get a message like that.
  18. An acoustic amp should have a fairly flat response. The main difference is in the speaker system. An acoustic amp has at least a 2 way speaker system with a high frequency driver and a crossover like a hifi speaker. The amp itself isn't much different than a guitar amp.
  19. You either have antivirus software enabled or a firewall that is preventing them from loading.
  20. I agree - the Bestronics VDI is very good. I too have a 10 footer that I have had for two years now. I use it with my Pod but I also use the 1/4 inch on batteries when I play right into my amps.
  21. The pot for the models is different than the mags. I think it's a ganged pot. (2 pots)
  22. No. If it doesn't work when in Mags mode, then there is a wiring problem. It's basically a standard guitar in that mode with passive pickup wiring. It should work fine this way with the battery removed.
  23. Could be a battery problem. Do you have the power supply and stereo cable? Try that if you do. I assume it works fine with the VDI?
