  1. Not free.... but. ez drummer is fantastic! totally worth it. spend some cash now, and the amount you'll use it will be worth much more than the cash you'll put up for it at first. you can get expansion packs for it as well, they have some good deals check it out! https://www.toontrack.com/product/ezdrummer-3/ if you do recording as well, this is a great asset if you don't have a drummer on hand!
  2. I scrapped this idea for now, bought a Fender Player Telecaster, real nice guitar.
  3. Pete and Meat modded amps Billie Joe Armstrongs amps
  4. it's the internet, people are animals behind the screen, but yes line 6 manual is very easy, the modal types are very easy to read and understand. but yes Brit J45 (JTM45) Brit Plexi (Super Lead / Plexi) Brit 2204 (JCM 800) Line 6 2204 Mod (Alternate JCM 800) I'm hoping they add billie joe armstrong's modded amps to the list,
  5. Ok, so. I'm looking at buying a semi hollow telecaster kit, I'm a big tele guy, I got my first one last year, which was a jim root telecaster. it has all I want for a great metal or pop punk tone, now i'm looking to expand my sounds and get a tele with single coils in them, I'll be buying the kit and a set of fender vintage tele pick ups. but where I'm lost is the finish. my jim root has a black satin urethane finish, I want to replicate the look, and some of the feel of the satin finish on it, what is my best bet for a product for the finish?
  6. update: I tweaked the Bass to 4.3, treble 5.8, mids 5.3
  7. If you have time for during a lunch break, Rabea is great!
  8. I got the MXR Dookie drive the other day and was experimenting using with the amps and cabs. before jumping in, i wanted an amp that wasn't going to be driven into a gainy crunch by the 'pete' side, and i needed to have a marshall cab. I tried using a Brit Plexi Brt model with the gain all the way down and everything at 5, i thought that was a good sound, but I needed all volumes at 10, with the cab DB to +6 and a gain block, I don't like having to do that. then i kept experimenting. I came Cali IV Rhythm 1 with the same settings, into the 4x12 1960 T75 with the 57 Dynamic. it sounds pretty good. I was also using my Jim Root Tele. Next step is to tweak it through studio monitors! And, if you have the dookie drive and the stomp and try these settings, don't attack me. tone is in the ear of the beholder! Vote here if you think line six users should deserve to have pete and meat!!! https://line6.ideascale.com/c/idea/1037897
  9. I say when they max out the capability's and have every single guitar effect, amp and cab, then they make a new series.
  10. Lol, sometimes i think people just make it up to gain attention.
  11. I feel like this question is asked often.... too often
  12. If that doesn't work try a different cable, I have a noiseless cable that when connected to stomp and out to a monitor it cut's out sometimes, but when I use it with the stomp wearing headphones it's fine. also when I'm near my electronics it creates a bad noise, is this apart of your problem?
  13. I just use standard 9 gauge, then use a bigger number as I use lower tunings etc. drop B = 012's
  14. So I guess your silence means I don't get your stomp
  15. Since My original post I've moved from Punk rock to a Symphonic Hard Rock/Mock metal sound, Since July-ish I've recorded 20-30 Demos full fledged instrumental demos that need vocals, (a few with lyric written) also 12 30sec songs that have a music idea or riff. so that's my life story so far. Lol Since the original post I've added a Jim Root Tele which sounds kicking hard! neck is awesomely fast. I've also added a Boss Katana 100 212 really good amp, the tube emulator tech sounds pretty good, I normally just plug my Hx Stomp and use an amp modal with the cab. So far pretty good Here is some stuff I'm looking at in the future Studio Mic. Audio Interface, Premium headphones, Studio Monitors, pop shield, stand and xlr canles Guitars PRS SE Baritone Squier Jim Root Tele (THE BLACK ONE! That why i've got two, one drop C One drop D Amps PRS MT15 Traynor 2x12 V30 cab Misc. pedal board supplies

  17. I am a guitar player first and have better times finding good tones for my guitar, but when it comes to bass it's a bit harder, so my question is, If you were to play Some Punk, Hard rock and Metal with a Fender Jazz bass or a similar bass, what settings would you use with Hellix or Hx Stomp. If I could get 3 tones, Clean, mid dist, (just with some growl, and Distorted tone. Thanks!
  18. I hope the HX Series gets some more Revv stuff
  19. To touch on helping others countless times for the same thing, this was my first post here on the site. Twenty minutes in and I was a pro at telling people to update the whole thing! I at first had the same problem, but instead of asking someone for help I prefer to be able to fix it myself. that's what is missing from a lot of people nowadays is a drive to do something for your self and to understand what it is your doing before you do it (fellow teens this is directed at you too!)
  20. Remember to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE UPDATING FIRMWARE!! Some people devote themselves to helping people (which is what the forums are for!) but people need to read the instructions to know what they are doing by themselves!
  21. I've never tried it live, but I have used a lot of plugins and feel some of the sounds are very good! I use my stomp on a pedal board, and I am going to buy a MC8 for smaller gigs if I cant bring a board, I'm a rhythm guitarist and don't need a whole lot of effects. For me a travel board with the stomp would be: 1. Red squeeze 2 Scream 808 3. Phaser 4. Chorus 5 Cali rect 6. 4x 12 v30 7. Transistor delay 8. Plate Verb That's all I need for a gig, If i get the MC8 from morning star I'll be able to turn off/on the 5 effects that would need switching, the other three would be dedicated to make the amp cleaner, Make the delay mix and decay larger, along with the final butten to do whatever i need it to do, the stomp would then act as the Tap/Tuner, and bank up and down, I also think you could do a lot with this sort of set up, If it it takes to much DSP then make another preset but swapping out effects to fit the need of the next song. I have three differnet "Board" patches, all within the same idea just with slightly different effects to fit each song, some with only four blocks because of DSP usage.. Tip: I also use everything in mono to save DSP.
  22. Most people use the Onespot stuff stuff for HX Stomp, I looked up a few videos to see what they power the stomp with, I research it and it looks like most people use a currant doubler and two 9v 500mA outputs, the same as the Voodoo labs above. On voodoo lab forum one user states that a Niedne Volt [400mA] with a currant doubler will work fine. CIOKS also works fine, but has more mA's, 650. And it works fine, now i wonder if 500mA x 2 will be enough? I wish Rhett Shull and other Stomp users on youtube would creat a video explaining power options! According to the video below it should work when it comes to Miliamps, the stomp when on uses 870mA on the preset he uses, if i switch to a more DSP hungry preset I wonder if that would go up?
