How you use Global EQ is up to you. Whether it's for compensating for the room you're playing in or helping sculpt your tone. How it works is what's important. It's Global, meaning that it effects ALL YOUR PRESETS. For example: If you cut mids in the Global EQ it will cut the mids in ALL YOUR PRESETS. I personally use it to polish off my presets. Meaning I try to get my presets as good as I can without it. Then I polish it off with the Global EQ. Fortunately it works really well for me that way. But I also don't use very many presets and typically use one. I never had to re-EQ my guitar for different rooms. But evidently that's important to some people.

Does anyone have a meal deal coupon or discount code ?

It might hurt a little to ask. This is a tough crowd sometimes. I'll take a BLT please.

Check the voltage from your power supply. I had one that kept rebooting itself and the power supply was going bad. Showed low voltage.

Is this going to turn into a discussion on String Theory ? We may need Sheldon Cooper to way in.

Sounds like you need to fix your saddles. A little bit of sanding or grinding could resolve this. Strings should rarely break unless there's an underlying cause.

I thought I was a slacker changing strings every other month. Maybe I'm the compulsive one...lol

Wow, you guys must go through a set of strings about every other day...

Minimize wear and tear ??? Wow, how much tweaking do you guys do ?

It's like having an HD T.V. and watching old black and white movies. Yeah they're classics but only a small group of people do it. I'm having a hard time understanding how you can't get what you need with the available amp models. Maybe it's your pickups. They make a big difference.

Drivers are not easy to develop. Hopefully it doesn't take too much effort to test and tweak their existing drivers to work with Windows 10. I'd rather wait and have it right then waste a bunch of time on something that randomly breaks.

None of the previous PODs were as configurable as the HD. Hmmmmm.....

Here's my preset with 1/2 step down tuning. I use a PODHD Desktop with Studio/Direct Output into the FX Return of a tube amp. PreAngelHalfStep.zip

For some people this works fine and for some it doesn't. Sounds like something in the patch must be different or maybe how it's connected to the guitar and amp. I even tried some 7th and 9th chords, no problems with 1/2 step tuning. Works great for me.

It's not Windows per se it's a driver issue. They're not easy to write and very few people do them well.

I've spent more on pickups than everything I've purchased from Line6. Not to mention all the time I took installing them, plus choosing the correct caps and pots. But it may be possible to tweak a few things and make what he has better.

The D string is 146.8hz. You could try bumping up this frequency a little. I assume you're using compression ? If not then definitely add it into your chain.

how long since you last switched off your pod (world record attempt)

Cruisinon2 took it the way it was meant, as a joke. btw - I'm 55 and usually have the lead in the "Grumpy Old Man" category. -

ok, this is the dumbest thread ever but you got me. Yes you do only have so many power cycles before it does damage but that number is extremely large. Yes in some cases things break. If a power cycle pushes it over the edge then it was close to breaking for some other reason. Let's turn off the PODs and kill this thread. -

This is the strangest thread I've seen on this forum... -
I can see the preset number on it if I need to. But I have a floorboard that tells me which preset is being used. That's just our practice area. When we play out I set my amp/cab on the floor and not on top of a sub.

PODHD Desktop sitting on top of the Marshall on the right side going into the FX return of both Marshalls using Studio Direct. I use a 20ms delay between the Marshalls for a stereo effect and use the PODHD AngelPre as my typical hi gain tone.

Dumb Question on Hooking POD to Computer/Speakers
joel_brown replied to robertmcollins3's topic in POD HD
Is this a Windows computer ? If it is then go to Control Panel, after shutting off the PODHD, and set your Sound audio device to the sound card in the computer.
