  1. the warranty starts on the date of your original receipt. you might do yourself a favor and start using the new one, and make your old one the backup... that way if problems arise you can use the warranty.
  2. at the same time... how many own multiple devices and would care about this? meaning are you going to spend tons of time developing software for 10-15 specific users? i don't think that the difficulty in doing this is near as big of a factor as this....
  3. pod farm will never interface with the XT... thats what gearbox is for. it is working correctly.
  4. perhaps it showed version 1.54 because your JTV is at an earlier than 2.0 firmware? you have to update the JTV to 2.0 before workbench HD will work.
  5. Cubase is the worst in my opinion... its just so different... you DO have to setup VST paths etc... so its just not as straight forward as other DAWS. it will probably be fine after you get setup and assimilated into the workflow of it... just not a good fit for me. i'm sure there are plenty of cubase audio setup videos on youtube... considering steinberg created ASIO and VST's you'd think it would be the best and simplest...
  6. there is no way to update any spider III products except the spider jam. I suspect you might need a visit to a service center.
  7. there's only a mild advantage tone wise in the ability to use another effect or 2... don't think that would factor into a brit invasion band... the biggest benefit for you will be the improved footswitches in the X model... to some players its worth it for that alone... easier to see smoother etc.

    Sd Card

did you format it FAT32 or NTFS? it has to be fat32 to work correctly.
  9. did you go into the control panel and change the input? it won't automatically detect it...
  10. Welcome! you'll probably get real popular real quick around here! everyone seems to love warmoth.
  11. David, I asked around about this and they are aware and working on the issue. Opening a support ticket: http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html will allow them to communicate with and help you personally.
  12. it will recall the tone as saved.. after that communication is 2 way... whichever one you turn will work... it won't save unless you press save explicitly...
  13. sometimes you have to "play to the audience" in front of you... wasn't exactly teaching advanced engineering... for the average person... this is not do-able.... i'm sure theoretically i could eat cheese on mars... but in reality my skill set is a bit more limited. if one of those engineers you refer to figure it out... then you've certainly got an audience here.
  14. waiting is torture. but i'll be happy the man when i awake from this japanese dream.
  15. as long as you know what commands you need to send from the amp, should be pretty simple.... of course i say that not knowing the specifics of your amp and never having done that...
  16. always comes 2late... take like 100 years... when we want it to take like 17 seconds.
  17. you could possibly do that via midi, doesn't work amps that use a standard footswitch for channel changes though.
  18. yes you can use it with gearbox standalone gearbox plugin is no longer supported but ... both units do qualify for a free upgrade to the latest pod farm version 1 also. (and a new unit would come with a license for pod farm 2) the tones from gearbox work in pod farm, so it should primarily be a difference in the interface.
  19. what are the chances that the fix will be released 10:15 on Saturday night?
  20. Line6 Staff do not use the forums to communicate status about works in progress. they will not publicly or privately commit to a timeframe either way. I can assure you that it is something that they intend to do.
  21. just select the amp and use the direction key... think its up.
  22. you can also hook up a 1/4" straight into the pod to hear changes realtime... no idea when it will be updated to use the pod though... which is clearly the more desired solution.
  23. here's the chart: http://line6.com/media/dt50/DT50_MIDI_CC_Reference_v2_0_RevA_English.pdf here's the knowledgebase: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifiers/dt50dt25/using-midi-to-change-amp-settings-on-the-dt50d-r129 some video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7elollipopTMJk and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QtbPNhyDsI as i said i've never done it... but it should be simple once you dig through these.
